ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Dr. Edward Pretorius and his assistant Dr. Crawford Tilinghast build a machine that peels back the very fabric of reality, allowing any who dare draw near to bare witness to the the mind bending horrors of what lies beyond the limitations of human comprehension. This has horrible consequences, as you could imagine, and after using the machine only once, Tilinghast ends up in a psych ward, but it's Pretorius who quite literally loses his head. Enter Dr. Kathrine McMichaels who takes Tilinghast into her custody with hopes of discovering some kind of link between his research and the root causes of schizophrenia. Once Tilinghast has the machine up and running again, things take a turn for the weird, and the rest of the film is like if Hellraiser was directed by David Cronenberg.
