ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Just as a reminder for folks just joining the Clear Admit podcast, Alex Brown is a former admissions officer from the Wharton school and current Clear Admit community manager and podcaster. He also teaches digital marketing for several top business schools, including Columbia Business School and London Business School. And, Graham Richmond is the co-founder of Clear Admit. He also worked in admissions at Wharton - where he first met Alex - and has an MBA from the program.
In this week's MBA Admissions podcast we began by discussing upcoming MBA admissions deadlines. For this upcoming week, Georgia Tech / Scheller, Oxford / Said, Cambridge / Judge, SMU / Cox, UVA / Darden and Washington / Olin have admissions deadlines. London Business School and IESE are scheduled to release Round 1 interview invites, and we predict that HBS will also release Round 1 interview invites.
Graham highlighted Clear Admit’s current webinar events. October 13 and 14, Clear will host its Real Humans webinar series. Signups are here: https://www.clearadmit.com/events
Graham highlighted a recently published resource that highlights when Clear Admit predicts interview invites will be rolled out for many of the top MBA programs. These predictions are based on the anonymous data we have from LiveWire. Graham also noted a round up of the top MBA programs October in-person admissions events.
Graham then noted two admissions tips Clear Admit recently published; one about resume-based vs. application-based interviews, and one about the 5 most common MBA interview questions. He also mentioned an article that highlights all Clear Admit’s interview resources. This led to a discussion on all the tools Clear Admit offers candidates to prepare for their interviews. These include the interview report archive, the admissions bot (great for interview preparation) and the interview simulator (great for interview practice).
Graham highlighted a recently published Class of 2028 profile for MIT / Sloan.
Clear Admit continues its Real Humans series which focuses on current students at top MBA programs. This week we profile MBA students from Georgetown / McDonough.
For this week, for the candidate profile review portion of the show, Alex selected two ApplyWire entries:
This week’s first MBA admissions candidate is a reapplicant who works in the gaming industry. They have a 715 GMAT score, and are targeting entrepreneurship, post MBA.
This week’s second MBA applicant is an engineer in the automotive space. They graduated from the US but recently relocated to Pakistan. They have a 320 GRE. We think they should retake the test.
This episode was recorded in Paris, France and Cornwall, England. It was produced and engineered by the fabulous Dennis Crowley in Philadelphia, USA. Thanks to all of you who’ve been joining us and please remember to rate and review this show wherever you listen!
