ABOUT THIS EPISODE
I AM RELEASING THESE MESSAGES AGAIN—BECAUSE WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME TO KEEP IGNORING THEM
I wish I could have released these podcasts once, seen the ideas reach the people capable of acting, and moved on to the next challenge. But too often, we do not listen until warnings become emergencies and preventable problems become irreversible damage.
So I am releasing them again.
The Voting Corps. The Police Corps. The National SPINE. My plans for water, energy, housing, immigration, education, employment, public safety, and community development.
These are not isolated proposals. They are parts of one integrated system designed around the complete human life cycle.
It begins with water, because every civilization begins there.
Water supports food, energy, housing, health, industry, and economic stability. The SPINE connects those necessities by creating a national system capable of moving water, power, people, resources, transportation, and emergency support where they are needed.
My housing plan connects directly to that system. It is not simply about constructing buildings. It is about creating stable communities where people can live, train, work, raise families, and rebuild their lives.
That same structure supports my immigration plan. Instead of allowing immigration to remain trapped between political slogans, overcrowded facilities, fear, and disorder, we can build an organized pathway based on housing, education, skills assessment, employment, cultural integration, responsibility, and contribution.
Housing connects to employment.
Employment connects to education and economic independence.
Education connects to informed citizenship.
Citizenship connects to voting.
Voting determines leadership.
Leadership determines whether every other system protects the people or fails them.
Public safety also belongs within that cycle. Police cannot succeed without community trust, and communities cannot thrive without safety, accountability, and equal protection. Infrastructure cannot succeed without responsible leadership. Immigration cannot succeed without integration. Housing cannot succeed without employment. None of these issues can be solved permanently while we continue treating them as unrelated problems.
Everything is connected.
For generations, we have reacted to symptoms while leaving the underlying system unchanged. We build temporary shelters instead of stable communities. We debate immigration without creating a serious integration process. We argue about policing without rebuilding trust. We defend democracy with words while allowing participation and institutional integrity to weaken. We watch one region flood while another suffers from drought because we have never built the infrastructure necessary to treat water as a shared national resource.
Then we wonder why the same crises return.
History does not always repeat itself in exactly the same form. The names change. The uniforms change. The technology changes. But the human patterns remain: fear, division, greed, short-term thinking, concentrated power, and the refusal to act until suffering becomes impossible to ignore.
The common thread is us.
That is not merely an accusation. It is also the source of hope.
If human beings created these broken systems, human beings can redesign them.
We have enough intelligence. We have engineers, scientists, educators, veterans, builders, public servants, business leaders, organizers, and ordinary citizens with extraordinary ability.
What we lack is coordination, courage, integrity, and the willingness to place the future above immediate profit and personal recognition.
Intelligence directed only toward profit will not save us.
Technology without humanity will not save us.
Leadership without integrity will not save us.
And waiting for someone else to act will not save us.
I am not releasing these podcasts simply to describe what is wrong. I am placing actual plans into the public conversation—plans that can be studied, challenged, improved, tested, and ultimately built.
These ideas are offered for the public good. They are not meant to be stripped apart, repackaged, and sold without reinvestment into the people and communities they were created to serve. Credit should remain with their creator, but the greater purpose is implementation, impact, and the advancement of humanity.
Still, a plan cannot move while it remains inside the voice of one person.
That is why I am asking you to do more than listen.
Share it with an engineer, educator, mayor, governor, legislator, military leader, business owner, university, foundation, journalist, organizer, creator, or anyone capable of opening a door.
Do not wait for a celebrity, political party, corporation, or powerful institution to tell you the idea matters.
Do not wait until the fire reaches your neighborhood, the water disappears from your community, the right being weakened belongs to you, or the system collapsing is the one your family depends upon.
We need multiple efforts moving at the same time—across communities, professions, political divisions, and generations.
I will continue releasing these messages because silence would make me complicit in the decline I can clearly see. I will continue because I still believe someone is listening—someone capable of understanding that these are not separate crises, but signs of a civilization that must evolve beyond fragmented thinking.
This is not about one political party, one race, one religion, or one group rising above another.
It is about humanity becoming mature enough to survive its own power.
We have developed weapons capable of destroying the world. Now we must develop the wisdom to protect it.
We have created enormous wealth. Now we must create systems that reduce unnecessary suffering.
We have transformed technology. Now we must transform ourselves.
When I speak about the light shining, I am not speaking only in a biblical sense. I am speaking in an evolutionary sense—the moment humanity looks honestly at its history, accepts responsibility for its choices, and decides to become better.
We are the ones who are here.
We are the ones who must move the water, rebuild the infrastructure, restore trust, protect the vote, rethink public safety, create responsible immigration pathways, strengthen communities, and build systems worthy of the generations coming behind us.
I am doing my part.
I am placing the plans before you.
Now I need you to do yours.
Listen with your conscience.
Share with purpose.
Act while there is still time.
Elevate and evolve. This is the ELE-VOLUTION.
Veteran Homstead (document)- Across America, we have abandoned buildings, vacant lots, shuttered industrial sites, and even decommissioned facilities that have been left to rot while veterans sleep in parking lots and under bridges. That is backwards. It’s unacceptable. And it doesn’t require a miracle to fix. Give veterans the land. Give veterans the keys. Let veterans build

00:00:43.393 --> 00:00:46.993
Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Christopher George's The Solution Series.
00:00:48.353 --> 00:00:52.753
Today's podcast, Break, Break, Break, Veteran Down,
00:00:53.433 --> 00:00:57.333
Restore Stability, is about a new plan,
00:00:57.593 --> 00:01:02.493
you know, keeping with my podcast motto, I have a solution for the veteran problem,
00:01:02.553 --> 00:01:05.833
and I want to introduce it to people before the start of the new year,
00:01:05.933 --> 00:01:11.413
keep it on people's minds, Make it a New Year's resolution for you,
00:01:11.433 --> 00:01:13.853
if need be, to get this moving.
00:01:14.353 --> 00:01:17.653
And I'll explain the plan in detail, but bottom line up front,
00:01:17.793 --> 00:01:20.953
it's called the Veterans Civic Renewal Compact.
00:01:22.517 --> 00:01:26.657
And what it is, is a blueprint that gives veterans a base of operations again.
00:01:27.057 --> 00:01:32.097
It's based off a permanent land donation or agreement of permanent purpose,
00:01:32.397 --> 00:01:37.277
a permanent community built and managed and governed by veterans.
00:01:37.937 --> 00:01:41.157
And from that stable ground, veterans just don't take care of veterans.
00:01:41.417 --> 00:01:45.157
We help stabilize the communities around us, too. We recycle.
00:01:45.477 --> 00:01:50.557
We grow food. We build housing systems that can scale. We create jobs.
00:01:51.017 --> 00:01:55.657
We relieve pressure where the system is breaking and we model what it looks
00:01:55.657 --> 00:02:00.657
like when integrity and structure aren't words when they are daily life.
00:02:01.117 --> 00:02:04.697
And I want to be crystal clear. This isn't about separating from society.
00:02:04.797 --> 00:02:10.337
This is about becoming a resource to society, organized, accountable and mission
00:02:10.337 --> 00:02:14.677
focused, because that's what veterans are trained to do. All right.
00:02:15.597 --> 00:02:21.077
Before I get into it, I want to kind of do my little my little opening, you know, narrative.
00:02:21.277 --> 00:02:26.957
I always give before I do a podcast because I always want to kind of set expectations,
00:02:27.217 --> 00:02:32.937
not just for this podcast, but for what I think future leadership should look like.
00:02:32.937 --> 00:02:37.237
What I'm trying to do with my podcast is really reset the standard for what
00:02:37.237 --> 00:02:41.637
that expectation from leadership and also from the audience,
00:02:41.637 --> 00:02:45.837
because I think we need to be a little bit more informed on what we what we
00:02:45.837 --> 00:02:49.497
what we make critical decisions on, you know, what our future should be,
00:02:49.757 --> 00:02:52.277
what our future should look like. We need to be more involved in that.
00:02:52.897 --> 00:02:56.357
So, you know, I believe leadership isn't just about talking.
00:02:56.917 --> 00:03:02.037
Leadership isn't just pointing out what's wrong. Leadership comes prepared with a plan.
00:03:03.046 --> 00:03:06.566
And not a lot of noise, and the courage to talk about it openly.
00:03:07.026 --> 00:03:11.626
The plan I bring isn't rigid. It's strong enough to move us forward and flexible
00:03:11.626 --> 00:03:13.846
enough to improve through focused conversation.
00:03:14.306 --> 00:03:19.186
Because the best plan will always be the one shaped by the most thoughtful input.
00:03:19.586 --> 00:03:21.626
And that's the expectation in my podcast.
00:03:22.186 --> 00:03:25.366
This space is for discussion, but discussion with a purpose.
00:03:25.846 --> 00:03:31.066
If you engage, I ask you please be direct, be respectful, Focus your energy
00:03:31.066 --> 00:03:33.826
on the plan. If you see a flaw, bring a fix.
00:03:34.366 --> 00:03:37.126
If you have a what if, bring a solution with it.
00:03:37.786 --> 00:03:41.506
Noise doesn't move us forward. Thought your contribution does.
00:03:42.386 --> 00:03:46.686
This podcast is about America, but it's not limited to America.
00:03:47.066 --> 00:03:51.586
We live in a connected world. Many of the solutions discussed here can be applied anywhere.
00:03:52.006 --> 00:03:55.186
People are working to build stability, dignity, and opportunity.
00:03:55.186 --> 00:04:00.426
My goal is to help America lead again, not by force, but by example,
00:04:00.626 --> 00:04:04.046
so others can adapt what works for their own communities.
00:04:04.566 --> 00:04:07.046
And let me be clear about something I deeply believe.
00:04:08.042 --> 00:04:12.662
I believe there is always a nugget of truth and experience and insight in every person.
00:04:13.022 --> 00:04:16.662
There's something valuable, something learned, something earned,
00:04:17.242 --> 00:04:19.822
something seen from a perspective no one else has.
00:04:20.202 --> 00:04:22.262
That's why I welcome everyone to the table.
00:04:22.902 --> 00:04:26.662
Without you, there is no us. Without shared experience, there is no progress.
00:04:27.142 --> 00:04:31.622
But with that welcome comes responsibility, people. Those insights and experiences
00:04:31.622 --> 00:04:34.362
aren't meant to build, but not to tear down.
00:04:34.822 --> 00:04:38.002
They're meant to build, not to tear down. to strengthen ideas,
00:04:38.122 --> 00:04:42.502
not sabotage them, to move us closer to solutions, not deeper into divisions.
00:04:43.002 --> 00:04:49.982
This is about evolution, evolution as a country, evolution as a people, evolution as a world.
00:04:50.502 --> 00:04:53.702
Our tools are more powerful than they've ever been in history,
00:04:53.882 --> 00:04:57.562
our ability to build, but our ability to destroy also.
00:04:57.982 --> 00:05:03.922
That means we have a greater responsibility to do better, to think deeper, to lead smarter.
00:05:04.846 --> 00:05:09.166
To work towards a peace that works for us, for everyone, not just a few.
00:05:09.806 --> 00:05:12.806
To appreciate this beautiful planet that was given to us.
00:05:13.746 --> 00:05:16.306
That's the expectation. That's the standard.
00:05:17.286 --> 00:05:18.986
Now we can talk about this subject.
00:05:20.166 --> 00:05:23.366
All right. First of all, I want to thank wherever you're coming from.
00:05:23.466 --> 00:05:24.646
I want to thank you for being here.
00:05:25.026 --> 00:05:30.386
I know to sit down and stop doing what you're doing in your daily life.
00:05:31.286 --> 00:05:35.686
It's a lot for a lot of us. We've got a lot going on. We've got a lot of other
00:05:35.686 --> 00:05:40.186
priorities, but I thank you for being here. I'm progressive thinking.
00:05:40.926 --> 00:05:45.846
I don't like labels. I'm not red. I'm not blue. I'm not green. I'm an American.
00:05:46.986 --> 00:05:48.946
I'm a human trying to fix the world.
00:05:50.566 --> 00:05:53.566
No labels, please. Just somebody trying to make a difference.
00:05:53.846 --> 00:05:58.686
The plans I put together, I don't care if I get famous. You think you can do it?
00:05:59.166 --> 00:06:03.026
I just ask you, okay, Chris, what do you think about this? It's just like I'm
00:06:03.026 --> 00:06:06.906
asking you because, you know, they are designed for people. And I want to make
00:06:06.906 --> 00:06:11.106
sure that they stay for people and not for, you know, somebody's pocket. All right.
00:06:12.758 --> 00:06:16.638
Why this episode exists, you know, I want to start today by saying this clearly.
00:06:16.778 --> 00:06:18.418
This episode is not about gratitude.
00:06:18.798 --> 00:06:24.038
Oh, wait, wait, wait, before I start. It's the day, it's the second day after Christmas.
00:06:24.358 --> 00:06:27.838
Yesterday was my sister's birthday, and I just want to wish her a happy birthday.
00:06:28.638 --> 00:06:32.038
She's a very, you know, with all my accomplishments in the military,
00:06:32.178 --> 00:06:36.338
25 years in the military, first as an enlisted and then as an officer.
00:06:37.518 --> 00:06:41.538
I feel she's way stronger than me because she had to, you know,
00:06:42.478 --> 00:06:45.258
you know, to all those women out there who taking care of their moms,
00:06:45.518 --> 00:06:46.638
you know, and late in life.
00:06:46.918 --> 00:06:51.298
Hey, much respect to you. You know, much love to you. I send all my strength
00:06:51.298 --> 00:06:54.598
and power out to you because I understand it's a hard job.
00:06:54.858 --> 00:06:57.338
You know, and I just want to tell my young sister, you know,
00:06:57.358 --> 00:06:58.498
I love you and I appreciate you.
00:06:58.818 --> 00:07:01.878
You're probably one of the strongest people I know. And I'm trying to get her
00:07:01.878 --> 00:07:05.438
to write a book about her life story because it is I've been all over the world.
00:07:05.438 --> 00:07:08.738
Her life story is very unique. All right.
00:07:09.378 --> 00:07:12.118
But I just want to wish her happy birthday. So thanks. Thanks for listening,
00:07:12.118 --> 00:07:13.958
guys. And thanks for letting me take the time to do that.
00:07:14.558 --> 00:07:19.338
But here I go. You know, like I said, I want to start to start today by saying this clearly.
00:07:19.598 --> 00:07:22.738
This episode isn't about gratitude. It's not about sympathy.
00:07:23.158 --> 00:07:28.018
It's not about nostalgia. This episode is about solutions, as usual, solutions.
00:07:28.558 --> 00:07:32.418
Because every Veterans Day, we hear the same words. Thank you for your service.
00:07:33.600 --> 00:07:38.340
And those words matter, but they're not enough because after the parades in
00:07:38.340 --> 00:07:41.360
and the speeches stop, we still have veterans sleeping on the bridges.
00:07:41.900 --> 00:07:44.960
We have veterans aging alone. We have disconnected veterans.
00:07:45.160 --> 00:07:50.500
We have underutilized, oh, really underutilized veterans and drifting in a country
00:07:50.500 --> 00:07:52.240
they want protected with their lives.
00:07:52.720 --> 00:07:56.100
That's not a veteran problem. That's an American problem.
00:07:56.600 --> 00:08:00.200
So today, in keeping with the Christopher George Solution Series,
00:08:00.440 --> 00:08:03.800
I want to do something different. I want to present a fully thought out,
00:08:04.600 --> 00:08:10.400
reasoned and achievable plan not to help veterans survive, but to help America evolve.
00:08:11.060 --> 00:08:16.960
This is the Veteran Civic Renewal Compact. You know, like typical military fashion,
00:08:17.020 --> 00:08:17.900
I need to give you a vision.
00:08:18.020 --> 00:08:22.600
So if you can, close your eyes a little bit and just listen to the sound of my voice.
00:08:23.940 --> 00:08:29.800
Imagine, if you will, a drone rises over a wide sunlit stretch of American land.
00:08:29.800 --> 00:08:33.640
Real terrain, real topography, not flat cartoon map.
00:08:33.820 --> 00:08:37.420
You see hills, tree lines, and a town laid out with intention.
00:08:38.389 --> 00:08:44.189
At the center, a towering flagpole, a massive American flag moving slowly and steady in the wind.
00:08:44.549 --> 00:08:49.509
Not as decoration, but as a statement. This place is about the land,
00:08:49.729 --> 00:08:51.029
the people, and the promise.
00:08:51.809 --> 00:08:55.189
Now the camera dips lower and you realize this isn't a typical neighborhood.
00:08:55.749 --> 00:08:59.849
You're looking at a veteran-built, veteran-managed community designed with modern
00:08:59.849 --> 00:09:01.969
intelligence and old-school discipline.
00:09:02.329 --> 00:09:08.089
The homes are AI-designed, templated, elegant, next-gen tiny homes.
00:09:08.389 --> 00:09:14.229
Not sheds, not trailers. These are clean, durable, and architectural homes made
00:09:14.229 --> 00:09:19.269
from hardened, recycled composites, mostly off-white with warm brown structural assets,
00:09:19.909 --> 00:09:23.669
different layouts and rooflines, some with small second-level lofts.
00:09:23.989 --> 00:09:25.849
Beautiful, tough, practical.
00:09:26.249 --> 00:09:30.589
The kind of housing that makes you think, why aren't we building like this everywhere?
00:09:31.029 --> 00:09:36.329
You notice something else. The town is walkable by design. No one is stranded.
00:09:36.809 --> 00:09:41.109
Multiple community dining facilities built from the same material palette as
00:09:41.109 --> 00:09:45.989
the homes are spaced across the town like acres walk within walking distance.
00:09:46.229 --> 00:09:50.829
Not because people can't cook, but because a shared table keeps a community
00:09:50.829 --> 00:09:53.149
stitched together. It creates jobs.
00:09:53.369 --> 00:09:59.509
It ensures nobody quietly goes hungry. It turns living near each other into living with each other.
00:10:00.346 --> 00:10:05.526
Then the drone swings wide to the infrastructure, because this isn't a feel-good idea, it's a system.
00:10:05.846 --> 00:10:10.626
On the edge of town, a large multi-level structure, clean, modern,
00:10:10.786 --> 00:10:14.426
industrial, an indoor farming complex spanning several acres,
00:10:14.846 --> 00:10:20.206
not a garden, a real food engine, hydroponics, aquaponics, controlled climate,
00:10:20.806 --> 00:10:24.046
year-round yield, enough to feed the town and produce surplus.
00:10:24.606 --> 00:10:28.066
On another edge, a heavy-duty industrial recycling facility,
00:10:28.466 --> 00:10:32.846
also modern and clean, with organized container yards, plastic sorted,
00:10:33.166 --> 00:10:37.606
shredded, processed, molded, feeded directly into housing and community construction.
00:10:38.026 --> 00:10:42.946
This isn't recycling bottles to feel better. This is turning waste into permanent infrastructure.
00:10:43.326 --> 00:10:50.346
Homes, walls, walkways, community, buildings, plus surplus material.
00:10:50.846 --> 00:10:54.526
They can be shipped out to help rebuild nearby civilian neighborhoods too.
00:10:55.346 --> 00:10:59.986
And yes, part of the vision is training civilians alongside veterans So this
00:10:59.986 --> 00:11:01.766
model spreads outward, not inward.
00:11:02.126 --> 00:11:07.146
Now the camera tilts up and you see what makes this place different from every
00:11:07.146 --> 00:11:08.646
program America has tried.
00:11:09.086 --> 00:11:10.906
You see green energy everywhere.
00:11:11.366 --> 00:11:13.366
Solar fields positioned for efficiency.
00:11:13.866 --> 00:11:17.646
Wind where the terrain allows. Battery storage. Microgrid thinking.
00:11:18.246 --> 00:11:22.806
And for water resilience, a standardized AWG, atmospheric water generation,
00:11:23.026 --> 00:11:28.806
pulling system from the air as a backup and stabilizer, especially in heat drown prone regions.
00:11:29.126 --> 00:11:34.506
The goal is simple, minimal footprint, maximum reliability, a town that runs
00:11:34.506 --> 00:11:38.386
bright and clean like any modern city without living dependent and fragile.
00:11:39.137 --> 00:11:42.777
And then you see the human layout, because this is where leadership shows up.
00:11:43.337 --> 00:11:47.317
There are clearly designed residential zones, family neighborhoods,
00:11:47.897 --> 00:11:51.937
space, parks, safer street patterns, single veteran neighborhoods,
00:11:52.377 --> 00:11:56.837
smaller footprint, tighter walk loops, elder and assisted living clusters near
00:11:56.837 --> 00:12:01.017
the wellness center, a visible community clinic and wellness hub,
00:12:01.317 --> 00:12:04.497
because prevention and routine are culture here, not an afterthought.
00:12:05.257 --> 00:12:09.117
Toward the heart of the town is something that changes the entire moral math of this project.
00:12:09.397 --> 00:12:15.317
A protected and family zone for foster youth and for survivor families escaping domestic abuse.
00:12:15.757 --> 00:12:20.797
Designed for calm, safety, and stability. Close to the school. Close to the clinic.
00:12:21.217 --> 00:12:26.017
Controlled access. Clear boundaries. You don't mix chaos into the middle and
00:12:26.017 --> 00:12:28.857
hope it works. You design safety into the blueprint.
00:12:29.357 --> 00:12:33.037
Kids aren't being turned into soldiers. that being erased around adults who
00:12:33.037 --> 00:12:35.897
show up, keep their word, and live by standards.
00:12:36.217 --> 00:12:40.617
And then further towards the town entrance, because realism matters,
00:12:41.077 --> 00:12:44.517
you see a structured, staged, homeless transition lane.
00:12:44.617 --> 00:12:49.357
It's intentionally layered, closest to the outer gate intake stabilization,
00:12:49.877 --> 00:12:55.377
deeper in transitional living, deeper still, permanent placement for those who commit to standards.
00:12:55.877 --> 00:13:00.657
Not punishment, not humiliation, just a responsible vetting pathway that protects
00:13:00.657 --> 00:13:03.497
the town while giving people a real shot at rebuilding.
00:13:03.877 --> 00:13:08.837
Standards are clear. Help is real. Progress is measurable. And all through it,
00:13:08.977 --> 00:13:11.797
what you feel is not military, it's coordinated.
00:13:12.217 --> 00:13:17.777
This community is designed for a population that understands leadership, teamwork, and mission.
00:13:18.577 --> 00:13:22.837
Veterans are used to shared responsibility, used to planning,
00:13:23.237 --> 00:13:26.217
used to building systems that don't collapse when feelings change.
00:13:26.217 --> 00:13:31.057
That mindset, applied to housing, food, wellness, and community order,
00:13:31.337 --> 00:13:32.497
doesn't just help veterans.
00:13:32.937 --> 00:13:37.637
It models a healthier way to live. So when people ask, what is the Veterans
00:13:37.637 --> 00:13:40.057
Civic Renewal Compact? This is the answer.
00:13:40.277 --> 00:13:43.457
It's a network of points of light across the United States.
00:13:44.475 --> 00:13:47.735
Places where veterans can finally stop drifting, start rebuilding,
00:13:47.755 --> 00:13:50.715
and bring others into stability without losing accountability.
00:13:51.035 --> 00:13:55.915
A town that doesn't just house people, a town that restores people.
00:13:56.315 --> 00:13:58.215
And it all starts with one simple truth.
00:13:58.655 --> 00:14:01.675
Give veterans the land and we'll build the rest.
00:14:02.595 --> 00:14:06.275
You know, since I've been out of the military in the last, got out in 2015,
00:14:06.935 --> 00:14:10.175
you know, it's a transition for us.
00:14:10.175 --> 00:14:13.315
So if your whole adult life has been spent in the military, you're used to being
00:14:13.315 --> 00:14:16.975
taken care of, taken care of in the way of housing, you know,
00:14:17.075 --> 00:14:19.355
food, your reliability and all that kind of stuff.
00:14:19.675 --> 00:14:24.175
They make it very simple for you to be a soldier, focus on your job, be the best you can be.
00:14:24.595 --> 00:14:28.455
And that's one of the reasons we have one of the best militaries in the world.
00:14:29.195 --> 00:14:34.035
You know, but when you get out, you start looking around, you're going through the veteran system.
00:14:34.795 --> 00:14:39.815
You know, and I was on both ends. I started off as an enlisted guy and then
00:14:39.815 --> 00:14:41.835
went in as, you know, transitioned to an officer.
00:14:42.055 --> 00:14:45.235
So I learned how to be a follower and I learned how to lead.
00:14:45.415 --> 00:14:49.495
And then I get out and it's regardless of how big a rank you've got,
00:14:49.615 --> 00:14:52.775
it's almost like you're being you're getting handouts from the from the from
00:14:52.775 --> 00:14:57.055
the government, you know, for your service. And.
00:14:57.979 --> 00:15:02.579
So, you know, I've been through the VA, you know, they're doing the best they can.
00:15:03.299 --> 00:15:05.679
They're doing the best they can. I'm just going to leave it at that.
00:15:06.139 --> 00:15:10.699
Based on that, I got I got I got some I got some, you know, some fixes for that coming out later on.
00:15:11.639 --> 00:15:15.659
But, you know, it's it's almost like, you know, it's almost like a handout.
00:15:16.019 --> 00:15:19.859
And, you know, veterans and I'll talk about this as I get more into this.
00:15:19.959 --> 00:15:22.759
But we're a very unique population, you know, very, very unique.
00:15:23.119 --> 00:15:26.519
But before I do all that, you know, let me let me we'll get into that.
00:15:26.519 --> 00:15:29.899
You know, I just wanted to give my personal perspective that helped me shape
00:15:29.899 --> 00:15:32.359
this so you can kind of understand where I'm coming from.
00:15:33.259 --> 00:15:36.999
So the mission of this Veterans Civic Renewal Compact that I'm about to talk
00:15:36.999 --> 00:15:42.199
about, guys, is, you know, one, restore civic responsibility through service,
00:15:42.619 --> 00:15:44.559
shared standards and public accountability.
00:15:45.099 --> 00:15:49.239
You know, I believe that giving veterans land will help in letting us manage it.
00:15:49.619 --> 00:15:54.039
It's a beautiful thing. You know, it restores dignity, stability and purpose
00:15:54.039 --> 00:15:58.459
by empowering veterans to rebuild communities on permanently designated land
00:15:58.459 --> 00:16:00.219
under veteran land governance.
00:16:00.939 --> 00:16:05.379
You know, it ends veteran homelessness through permanent and transitional housing pathways.
00:16:05.639 --> 00:16:09.879
You know, if there's a veteran homeless person, what I imagine and this is this is real talk, guys.
00:16:10.119 --> 00:16:14.899
What I envision if we if we establish these places in all over the United States,
00:16:15.079 --> 00:16:18.479
I envision getting some kind of contract with Uber, those guys that drive.
00:16:18.479 --> 00:16:21.599
And every time they see a veteran, just pick just pick them up and bring them
00:16:21.599 --> 00:16:25.379
to our location and we'll pay for it. But we'll get we'll take care of them.
00:16:25.819 --> 00:16:28.959
That's what I envision. All right. That's what I mean.
00:16:29.579 --> 00:16:33.039
Build sustainable communities rooted in service, discipline,
00:16:33.259 --> 00:16:35.239
shared accountability and self-sufficiency.
00:16:35.659 --> 00:16:40.779
You know, we'll strengthen communities at scale by providing by proving integrity,
00:16:41.339 --> 00:16:48.219
structure and compassion can coexist. And then the last mission piece is extend responsible report.
00:16:48.499 --> 00:16:53.699
We're partnered and capacity tested to foster youth survivors of domestic abuse
00:16:53.699 --> 00:16:58.119
and homeless individuals who agree to community standards, you know.
00:16:59.176 --> 00:17:02.736
Just to make sure you guys understand, when I talk about dealing with youth
00:17:02.736 --> 00:17:07.856
and all that kind of stuff, I'm talking about having required licensed people
00:17:07.856 --> 00:17:11.516
and doing all the government background checks and all that kind of stuff.
00:17:11.636 --> 00:17:16.136
Just to make sure people understand, I'm not trying to create another ped ring.
00:17:16.516 --> 00:17:18.976
I believe I'll get into that.
00:17:22.196 --> 00:17:26.236
This is for more the civilians and maybe even for the veterans too who maybe
00:17:26.236 --> 00:17:28.616
haven't sat down and just thought about it. Why are veterans different?
00:17:29.176 --> 00:17:32.916
So we've come from a world where things are clear. Housing was like I mentioned
00:17:32.916 --> 00:17:34.116
earlier, housing was planned.
00:17:34.376 --> 00:17:38.476
Food was accounted for. Medical care was nearby. Purpose was assumed.
00:17:39.076 --> 00:17:43.616
Standards were non-negotiable, not because it was perfect, but because people
00:17:43.616 --> 00:17:44.736
depended on one another.
00:17:44.956 --> 00:17:48.016
Because failure didn't just cost money, it cost lives.
00:17:48.396 --> 00:17:52.436
Because integrity wasn't a slogan, it was enforced by reality.
00:17:53.136 --> 00:17:57.736
Then we stepped into the civilian world, a world where everything is transactional,
00:17:57.956 --> 00:18:02.336
where everything is fragmented, where the default answer is figure it out yourself.
00:18:02.956 --> 00:18:07.176
Some do, some don't. And the ones who don't fall hard.
00:18:07.756 --> 00:18:12.276
And let me be very honest about something, because dancing around this doesn't help anyone.
00:18:12.796 --> 00:18:16.256
You know, like I said, we are a unique population, not better,
00:18:16.436 --> 00:18:17.716
not worse, just different.
00:18:18.296 --> 00:18:23.936
We choose service. We choose self-sacrifice. We signed our names knowing that
00:18:23.936 --> 00:18:27.536
costs might be our bodies, our minds, our lives, our families.
00:18:28.296 --> 00:18:33.596
That mindset, true commitment to something larger than yourself is rare in modern
00:18:33.596 --> 00:18:35.596
civilian life. Let's just face it, guys. It's rare.
00:18:36.276 --> 00:18:39.396
Hell, none of you guys, most of the people listening to this, think about it.
00:18:40.272 --> 00:18:43.872
You still see it in pockets, firefighters, teachers, nurses.
00:18:44.812 --> 00:18:45.972
Certain government professionals.
00:18:46.372 --> 00:18:50.072
But outside of that, most of the system is driven by the dollar.
00:18:50.972 --> 00:18:55.472
And I'm not condemning capitalism. Let's understand that. I understand it. I lived in it.
00:18:55.912 --> 00:18:59.832
But when everything becomes about profit, when integrity, honor,
00:18:59.912 --> 00:19:03.952
and responsibility become optional, something vital breaks.
00:19:04.532 --> 00:19:08.452
What veterans struggle with when we come home isn't freedom.
00:19:08.972 --> 00:19:10.572
It's the absence of shared values.
00:19:11.172 --> 00:19:16.172
It's the feeling that nobody is guarding the center anymore and nobody is responsible for the whole.
00:19:16.612 --> 00:19:20.232
That everyone is watching, their neighbor, instead of watching the mission.
00:19:20.692 --> 00:19:24.852
And when we point that out, we're told you'll be fine. You'll adjust.
00:19:25.352 --> 00:19:28.872
You don't have your structure anymore. You know, so here's the truth.
00:19:29.412 --> 00:19:33.232
If the structure no longer exists, then we'll build our own.
00:19:33.812 --> 00:19:38.932
Not because we're anti-American. not because we're being deeply unapologetically American.
00:19:40.011 --> 00:19:44.711
I said that wrong, not because we're anti-American, but because we are being
00:19:44.711 --> 00:19:49.371
deeply unapologetically American. That was a good one.
00:19:50.111 --> 00:19:53.851
America was never meant to be a free for all. It was meant to be a union,
00:19:53.851 --> 00:19:58.931
a system where people with different beliefs, backgrounds and identities could
00:19:58.931 --> 00:20:00.191
still agree on one thing.
00:20:00.651 --> 00:20:02.751
We are responsible for each other.
00:20:03.351 --> 00:20:07.731
I'm not asking anyone to believe what I believe. I don't care what God you worship
00:20:07.731 --> 00:20:09.551
or whether you worship one at all.
00:20:10.011 --> 00:20:14.311
But what I do care, whether you believe we owe each other decency,
00:20:14.591 --> 00:20:21.031
safety, and a future worth handing to our children, that belief is what veterans are trained in.
00:20:21.471 --> 00:20:24.771
Within the scope of our jobs, we learn to sacrifice for one another.
00:20:24.891 --> 00:20:27.271
We learn to support people we didn't choose.
00:20:27.711 --> 00:20:33.611
We learn to look past race, politics, class, and ego because the mission demands it.
00:20:33.911 --> 00:20:37.771
That doesn't make us saints, but it does make us system thinkers.
00:20:38.371 --> 00:20:42.451
And when we come home and see society where integrity is optional.
00:20:43.231 --> 00:20:49.351
Honor is mocked, and unity is treated like weakness, it makes a lot of us physically sick.
00:20:49.571 --> 00:20:52.891
Not angry, physically sick. So understand this.
00:20:53.191 --> 00:20:57.111
The Veterans Civic Renewal Compact isn't about separating from America.
00:20:57.111 --> 00:20:59.671
Once again, I keep saying that because I need some of you to understand that.
00:21:00.031 --> 00:21:03.051
It's about showing America what leadership looks like again.
00:21:03.651 --> 00:21:07.031
It's about creating a space where values aren't performative.
00:21:07.031 --> 00:21:12.371
The practice, where people live side by side, not because they agree on everything,
00:21:12.811 --> 00:21:16.731
but because they agree to act with respect, discipline, and responsibility.
00:21:17.531 --> 00:21:20.951
We don't have it perfect, but I do think if you look around,
00:21:21.111 --> 00:21:25.391
if you get a chance to go visit a military post that has housing and stuff like
00:21:25.391 --> 00:21:30.391
that, I do believe we have it better than what I'm seeing right now when I drive around.
00:21:30.871 --> 00:21:33.331
There's a reason everybody has a gated community.
00:21:34.457 --> 00:21:39.157
And maybe just maybe if we build it right, others will look at it and remember
00:21:39.157 --> 00:21:43.617
what it feels like to live in a society where people are trying to do the right
00:21:43.617 --> 00:21:47.637
thing, not because it's profitable, but because it's right.
00:21:48.437 --> 00:21:53.297
That's what this podcast is all about. Not gratitude, not charity,
00:21:53.577 --> 00:21:54.857
but once again, leadership.
00:21:55.677 --> 00:22:00.037
You know, the core idea of this whole plan is the land. Land changes everything.
00:22:00.977 --> 00:22:05.077
Everything in this plan starts with land. You know, most veteran programs operate
00:22:05.077 --> 00:22:10.757
on permission, temporary housing, short term grants, civilian run systems.
00:22:11.497 --> 00:22:15.137
That doesn't create stability. It creates dependency. That's what I was talking
00:22:15.137 --> 00:22:17.337
about earlier. It feels like we're getting handouts.
00:22:17.817 --> 00:22:20.197
The veteran civic renewal compact is different.
00:22:20.977 --> 00:22:26.757
This is about large tracts of land, entire towns, permanently set aside,
00:22:26.937 --> 00:22:32.997
owned collectively by veterans, governed by veterans, protected by covenant
00:22:32.997 --> 00:22:35.497
so they cannot be taken back or politicized.
00:22:35.997 --> 00:22:40.537
You know, I had a chance to work with the Air Force engineering department.
00:22:41.316 --> 00:22:47.916
Engineering facility center in San Antonio and got exposed to the BRAC program.
00:22:48.716 --> 00:22:50.436
The BRAC program, if you haven't heard
00:22:50.436 --> 00:22:54.816
of it, it's base realignment and construction or something like that.
00:22:55.636 --> 00:22:59.676
I figure what it is. But they manage all the closed out military bases.
00:23:03.796 --> 00:23:08.836
Even back then, I was thinking about, I said, why haven't we turned one of these
00:23:08.836 --> 00:23:11.636
bases into a pure veteran base.
00:23:12.596 --> 00:23:17.096
And we can invite civilians. We can invite the Walmarts or whatever.
00:23:17.256 --> 00:23:22.016
Depending on how big the place is, we can invite different businesses on that
00:23:22.016 --> 00:23:24.596
structure to support the veterans and stuff like that.
00:23:26.876 --> 00:23:30.976
So this is not about one house, not about one program. It's about communities.
00:23:31.856 --> 00:23:35.256
I believe when veterans own the land, we can build long-term,
00:23:36.076 --> 00:23:37.876
We can plan generationally.
00:23:38.056 --> 00:23:42.156
And we can invest in infrastructure, not stopgaps. Land is not charity.
00:23:42.796 --> 00:23:44.736
Land would be independence.
00:23:45.916 --> 00:23:49.876
Why I believe the veterans are uniquely equipped for this. And this is where
00:23:49.876 --> 00:23:51.396
people often misunderstand veterans.
00:23:51.576 --> 00:23:53.916
We're not better than civilians. We're not worse. We're different.
00:23:54.376 --> 00:23:59.376
A football player is better than me at football. A surgeon is better than me at surgery.
00:24:00.036 --> 00:24:03.216
But what veterans are good at are operating in complex systems,
00:24:03.216 --> 00:24:07.856
making decisions that affect groups of people, manning the logistics under pressure,
00:24:08.456 --> 00:24:10.516
balancing risks, safety, and mission success.
00:24:11.156 --> 00:24:15.956
America spent billions training us to think this way. This plan simply redirects
00:24:15.956 --> 00:24:17.496
that investment back into society.
00:24:18.696 --> 00:24:25.456
Every veteran civic, every VCRC is designed to be productive, not passive.
00:24:25.776 --> 00:24:29.676
At the core of each The community is indoor farming and aquaponics. Why?
00:24:30.096 --> 00:24:33.356
Because food security is foundational.
00:24:33.796 --> 00:24:37.796
You cannot stabilize people who don't know where their next meal is coming from.
00:24:38.256 --> 00:24:42.616
Veterans already understand production cycles, rationing, redundancy, maintenance.
00:24:43.792 --> 00:24:48.132
Indoor farming gives us a year-round option to create food.
00:24:48.612 --> 00:24:52.532
You know, these systems feed the community first. They reduce dependency on
00:24:52.532 --> 00:24:57.132
external supply chains, and they generate surplus produced for sale or barter.
00:24:57.452 --> 00:24:59.952
Just as important, they provide routine and purpose.
00:25:01.050 --> 00:25:03.790
Idle hands destroy morale. Purpose restores it.
00:25:04.350 --> 00:25:07.850
Now, let's talk about the piece that ties everything together, the recycling.
00:25:08.290 --> 00:25:11.170
And I want to be clear here. This is not symbolic recycling.
00:25:11.190 --> 00:25:15.330
This is not about bottles and cans. This is industrial scale recycling.
00:25:16.190 --> 00:25:20.230
And here's where, you know, here's where AI is already shown, showing us the way.
00:25:20.910 --> 00:25:24.270
Artificial intelligence is currently generating housing designs made from plastic
00:25:24.270 --> 00:25:28.770
composites that look better than many traditional homes, are more energy efficient,
00:25:28.970 --> 00:25:33.610
resist floods, wind, heat, and corrosion, and last decades with minimal maintenance.
00:25:34.050 --> 00:25:36.910
These aren't shelters. These are beautiful modern homes.
00:25:37.510 --> 00:25:41.230
What's missing is a system to build them at scale. That's where the veteran
00:25:41.230 --> 00:25:43.290
civic renewal compact becomes powerful.
00:25:43.690 --> 00:25:48.050
Each place we designate or installation becomes a recycling hub,
00:25:48.310 --> 00:25:53.970
a manufacturing site, a housing production center, new job titles.
00:25:54.550 --> 00:25:57.790
You know, if we get these connected all across the United States,
00:25:57.950 --> 00:26:02.350
we could even create a little infrastructure where people can go train people
00:26:02.350 --> 00:26:04.990
at new locations to get them up to speed and stuff like that.
00:26:05.350 --> 00:26:06.670
You know, this could be huge.
00:26:07.530 --> 00:26:11.070
Veterans recycle plastic and materials to build their own homes and create surplus.
00:26:11.450 --> 00:26:16.210
That surplus can be stored, transported, used to build future veteran towns,
00:26:16.210 --> 00:26:20.830
deployed into civilian communities, disaster zones, and low-income housing areas.
00:26:21.210 --> 00:26:24.250
This turned veteran communities into something entirely new,
00:26:24.270 --> 00:26:27.370
a national regeneration engine.
00:26:27.830 --> 00:26:32.890
Once the veteran system is established, civilians can be brought in and trained
00:26:32.890 --> 00:26:35.190
alongside veterans to build these homes.
00:26:35.550 --> 00:26:38.730
Now we're not just producing housing, we're exporting skills,
00:26:38.930 --> 00:26:41.150
jobs, and dignity back into society.
00:26:41.810 --> 00:26:45.970
That's how you break cycles. This plan is not just exclusive.
00:26:46.210 --> 00:26:50.710
It is structured and structure allows inclusion without chaos.
00:26:52.084 --> 00:26:55.444
Every veteran civic renewal compact is more than just housing.
00:26:55.604 --> 00:26:59.764
It's a protected environment intentionally designed for people who have lived too long in chaos.
00:27:00.264 --> 00:27:04.744
It includes dedicated foster youth component, a structured permanent option
00:27:04.744 --> 00:27:09.684
for individuals experiencing homelessness, a safe residential zone for abused
00:27:09.684 --> 00:27:12.344
women and their children separated from threat and instability.
00:27:12.904 --> 00:27:16.344
This is what I see in this vision. This is not accidental. It's strategic.
00:27:17.204 --> 00:27:20.524
Veterans understand something that modern systems too often forget.
00:27:21.324 --> 00:27:25.264
Compassion without structure fails. Structure without compassion hardens.
00:27:25.944 --> 00:27:29.164
And I could be honest with you guys. I don't know of too many veterans who wouldn't
00:27:29.164 --> 00:27:32.264
want to pick up the mission of taking care of the foster youth and providing
00:27:32.264 --> 00:27:33.304
that environment for them.
00:27:33.444 --> 00:27:36.764
And I'm not trying to make them into little military soldiers and provide a future.
00:27:37.704 --> 00:27:43.544
I'm talking about providing them a safe place, even with the abused women and everything.
00:27:44.284 --> 00:27:47.104
You need both or you help no one.
00:27:48.177 --> 00:27:54.117
Research consistently shows survivors of domestic violence, they are returned
00:27:54.117 --> 00:27:56.677
again and again into unstable environments.
00:27:57.117 --> 00:28:01.697
Foster youth who age out without stable housing are far more likely to experience
00:28:01.697 --> 00:28:04.337
homelessness, incarceration, long-term unemployment.
00:28:05.157 --> 00:28:09.977
Survivors of domestic violence often return to abusive situations because safe
00:28:09.977 --> 00:28:12.117
long-term alternatives don't exist.
00:28:13.577 --> 00:28:16.737
Chronic homelessness persists not because people refuse help,
00:28:16.757 --> 00:28:20.337
but because help is temporary, conditional, and fragmented.
00:28:21.337 --> 00:28:24.997
What these populations need first is not therapy, employment, or independence.
00:28:25.477 --> 00:28:31.337
They need safety, predictability, and time. That is what the veteran communities could provide.
00:28:32.277 --> 00:28:35.437
You know, children without families don't need to be fixed. They need adults
00:28:35.437 --> 00:28:37.557
who show up every day, as I was going to get alluded to earlier.
00:28:38.417 --> 00:28:41.097
Veteran communities could provide routine without intimidation,
00:28:41.297 --> 00:28:46.617
accountability without cruelty, presence without abandonment.
00:28:46.757 --> 00:28:49.297
I guarantee you there'll be no kids missing school on this place.
00:28:50.717 --> 00:28:55.817
This is not about turning kids into soldiers. It's about giving them something they've really had.
00:28:56.097 --> 00:28:58.917
Adults who keep their word. Clear expectations.
00:28:59.817 --> 00:29:02.017
A community where people look out for one another.
00:29:03.277 --> 00:29:07.637
Homeless individuals who enter the Veterans Civic Renewal Compact are not treated
00:29:07.637 --> 00:29:10.297
as problems to be managed, but it's people who need to be grounded.
00:29:11.437 --> 00:29:13.317
They receive permanent residence,
00:29:14.698 --> 00:29:19.858
Hold on one second. Let me pause for one second. Okay, they receive permanent
00:29:19.858 --> 00:29:24.838
residence, not transitional beds, access to meaningful work, scale to ability,
00:29:25.818 --> 00:29:30.818
medical and mental health support, predictable routines that reduce anxiety and relapse.
00:29:31.418 --> 00:29:33.718
Not everyone can do everything, and that's okay.
00:29:34.738 --> 00:29:38.858
Veterans understand teams. Some build, some mentor, some heal, some rest.
00:29:39.398 --> 00:29:44.438
What matters is belonging and knowing that your presence is accounted for.
00:29:44.698 --> 00:29:46.438
And your absence would be noticed.
00:29:47.118 --> 00:29:52.938
Research on homelessness consistently shows that permanent supportive housing
00:29:52.938 --> 00:29:56.598
dramatically reduces emergency care costs, incarceration rates,
00:29:56.738 --> 00:30:01.078
and long-term dependency, not because it lowers standards, because it removes chaos.
00:30:01.638 --> 00:30:06.938
For abused women and children, safety is not a luxury. It is a prerequisite for healing.
00:30:08.135 --> 00:30:11.615
The Veteran Civic Renewal provides physical security residential zones,
00:30:11.875 --> 00:30:16.575
separation from predatory or destabilizing influences, communities where protection
00:30:16.575 --> 00:30:18.075
is cultural, not performative.
00:30:18.915 --> 00:30:21.875
Veterans are trained to recognize threat, respect boundaries,
00:30:22.175 --> 00:30:24.775
and protect vulnerable people without escalating conflict.
00:30:25.215 --> 00:30:30.215
A refurbished military installation, properly redesigned, offers exactly what
00:30:30.215 --> 00:30:34.835
survivors need most, controlled access, clear rules, calm authority,
00:30:35.275 --> 00:30:36.775
no tolerance or intimidation.
00:30:37.415 --> 00:30:42.075
This is not punishment. This is protection. And protection allows people to breathe again.
00:30:43.235 --> 00:30:48.175
You know, veterans don't romanticize drama. You know, we don't trivialize it either.
00:30:48.615 --> 00:30:54.455
We understand that safety is not created by slogans. It's created by environment,
00:30:54.615 --> 00:30:55.615
behavior, and consistency.
00:30:56.135 --> 00:30:59.315
We know how to live among people from different backgrounds,
00:30:59.835 --> 00:31:02.155
belief, histories, because we already have.
00:31:02.695 --> 00:31:06.695
And we know that order does not mean oppression. It means people can sleep at night.
00:31:06.775 --> 00:31:12.015
You know, what I'm presenting here, this model, this integration model does something rare.
00:31:12.835 --> 00:31:16.335
It protects without isolating. It stabilizes without warehousing.
00:31:16.555 --> 00:31:20.455
It restores dignity without pretending pain doesn't exist.
00:31:20.935 --> 00:31:24.695
It doesn't ask traumatized people to immediately perform normalcy.
00:31:24.815 --> 00:31:27.055
And it gives them the space to recover from it.
00:31:27.835 --> 00:31:30.335
And it gives America something it desperately needs right now.
00:31:30.995 --> 00:31:34.875
Communities that prove safety, structure and passion can coexist.
00:31:35.535 --> 00:31:38.875
Like I keep saying, this is not charity. This is leadership.
00:31:39.795 --> 00:31:43.275
You know, let's talk about health care, because this is where the system is.
00:31:43.415 --> 00:31:44.495
You know, I'm not going to say
00:31:44.495 --> 00:31:48.655
it's breaking, but this is a system that constantly needs to be updated.
00:31:49.055 --> 00:31:52.915
And as, you know, modernization happens, it needs to be helped modernization here.
00:31:53.355 --> 00:31:55.815
And I don't think people truly understand when you say veteran,
00:31:55.975 --> 00:31:59.375
you have people from wars that actually that fought.
00:31:59.535 --> 00:32:04.535
You have people who've been in for two years, four years, five across the spectrum.
00:32:04.535 --> 00:32:05.195
They're called veterans.
00:32:05.355 --> 00:32:10.435
So that's a lot of people, you know, possibly going under this veteran health care system.
00:32:11.340 --> 00:32:13.900
You know, let's just say plainly, the VA is a little overwhelmed.
00:32:14.200 --> 00:32:18.480
Everyone knows it. Veterans know it. Families know it. Providers know it. You know.
00:32:19.280 --> 00:32:24.320
And this is important. The Veterans Civic Renewal Compact is not a replacement for the VA.
00:32:25.140 --> 00:32:28.280
It's not competition. It's not criticism. It's support.
00:32:29.100 --> 00:32:32.680
What I'm proposing here is something that the military has always done well.
00:32:33.060 --> 00:32:38.200
Distributed care, care that's local, continuous, human, and rooted in community
00:32:38.200 --> 00:32:39.180
instead of bureaucracy.
00:32:39.700 --> 00:32:44.320
Every veteran civic renewal includes an on-site medical and wellness facility,
00:32:44.620 --> 00:32:48.960
staffed in large part retiring veteran nurses, corpsmen and medics,
00:32:49.540 --> 00:32:51.840
medical officers and healthcare specialists.
00:32:52.420 --> 00:32:55.900
People who already understand veterans, not from a textbook,
00:32:56.160 --> 00:32:57.220
but from lived experience.
00:32:57.940 --> 00:33:01.680
People who want to keep serving without burning, without burning out,
00:33:01.860 --> 00:33:05.700
without drowning in paperwork, without losing the human side of medicine.
00:33:06.100 --> 00:33:09.340
But here's the part that civilians often miss. And this matters.
00:33:09.700 --> 00:33:14.340
Just creating this community is already a mental health intervention.
00:33:15.020 --> 00:33:18.860
Veterans heal better around other veterans. That's not opinion.
00:33:19.320 --> 00:33:22.340
It's lived reality. It's supported by research.
00:33:23.300 --> 00:33:29.240
Studies consistently show that peer-based veteran support improves PTSD outcomes.
00:33:29.560 --> 00:33:33.760
Group cohesion reduces isolation, depression, and suicide risk.
00:33:34.180 --> 00:33:37.940
Regular physical activity, especially in a structured group setting,
00:33:38.320 --> 00:33:42.380
significantly improves mood regulation, sleep, and cognitive function.
00:33:43.397 --> 00:33:46.737
Veterans understand routine. Veterans understand accountability.
00:33:47.417 --> 00:33:51.177
Veterans understand that movement. I can almost hear. I can see it now.
00:33:51.297 --> 00:33:52.537
I just close my eyes and see it now.
00:33:52.937 --> 00:33:55.817
Every morning it's 630. Get up, up.
00:33:56.837 --> 00:33:59.917
Get up, up. Get up, up.
00:34:00.617 --> 00:34:06.457
Get on up. Get up. Get up now. Get on up. Just a little taste.
00:34:07.637 --> 00:34:11.137
You put back and you put veterans back in an environment where people wake up
00:34:11.137 --> 00:34:13.677
early together. Physical training is normalized.
00:34:14.377 --> 00:34:20.157
Morning cadence runs happen because people want them. Exercise is social, not isolating.
00:34:20.417 --> 00:34:23.537
And you've already done half the work. Mental health clinics struggle to do.
00:34:23.877 --> 00:34:28.097
This isn't about yelling or boot camp nonsense. It's about shared momentum.
00:34:28.657 --> 00:34:32.297
Movement regulates the nervous system. Routine stabilizes the mind.
00:34:32.677 --> 00:34:33.977
Belonging restores purpose.
00:34:34.457 --> 00:34:37.237
That's not motivational talk. That's neuroscience.
00:34:38.477 --> 00:34:42.397
And there's another truth people avoid talking about. People dealing with mental
00:34:42.397 --> 00:34:46.297
health challenges often do better when they are not alone in their experience.
00:34:46.997 --> 00:34:51.197
Veterans know this instinctively. When someone struggling with PTSD,
00:34:51.757 --> 00:34:55.837
depression, anxiety, or moral injury is surrounded by others who get it,
00:34:56.157 --> 00:35:01.017
who don't flinch, don't judge, don't minimize, something powerful happens.
00:35:01.777 --> 00:35:06.337
Medication compliance improves. Therapy participation increases.
00:35:06.717 --> 00:35:08.157
Relapse rates decrease.
00:35:09.037 --> 00:35:13.037
Early warning signs are noticed sooner because veterans look out for each other.
00:35:13.317 --> 00:35:17.617
This isn't a hospital ward. This is a community with eyes on each other.
00:35:17.877 --> 00:35:20.897
And that kind of environment doesn't replace professional care.
00:35:20.917 --> 00:35:23.057
It makes professional care more effective.
00:35:24.367 --> 00:35:28.607
You know, the medical wellness centers within each of these civic renewal areas,
00:35:28.607 --> 00:35:33.467
they'll focus on primary and preventive care, mental health support and counseling,
00:35:34.207 --> 00:35:39.007
rehabilitation and physical therapy, elder care and mobility support,
00:35:39.707 --> 00:35:45.847
and medication management and follow-up, handled locally, consistently, and with dignity.
00:35:46.487 --> 00:35:50.567
That means fewer emergency room visits, fewer crisis interventions,
00:35:51.127 --> 00:35:55.307
fewer missed appointments, less pressure on VA hospitals and clinics.
00:35:55.727 --> 00:35:58.427
The VA gets breathing room. Veterans get continuity.
00:35:59.127 --> 00:36:02.707
That's that's not just compassionate. That's smart system design.
00:36:02.987 --> 00:36:04.967
Veterans taking care of veterans again.
00:36:05.607 --> 00:36:09.427
You know, this model that I'm trying to put together affects something we already know works.
00:36:10.247 --> 00:36:13.387
You know, in uniform, we never waited for help to come from somewhere else.
00:36:13.567 --> 00:36:17.127
We took care of our own right there, right then, right now.
00:36:17.867 --> 00:36:20.927
The Veterans Civic Renewal Compact brings that ethic home.
00:36:21.587 --> 00:36:24.927
It allows veterans to age with dignity, healed with support,
00:36:25.667 --> 00:36:29.067
stay active longer, serve in ways that fit their abilities.
00:36:29.587 --> 00:36:32.267
You know, and it gives the country something real to stand behind.
00:36:32.727 --> 00:36:36.627
Not another promise, not another ribbon, but a working solution.
00:36:37.227 --> 00:36:39.767
If people truly want to help veterans, this is how you do it,
00:36:39.827 --> 00:36:42.007
guys. You don't just say thank you.
00:36:42.607 --> 00:36:47.427
You give us the ability to build environments where veterans can thrive again. That's what this is.
00:36:48.127 --> 00:36:52.687
You know, they beat a Chris. The next question is, Chris, how is this going
00:36:52.687 --> 00:36:54.327
to be governed? Who's going to manage it?
00:36:54.607 --> 00:36:56.867
You know, is the government going to manage it?
00:36:57.981 --> 00:37:01.061
You know, these communities cannot be fragmatized or politicized.
00:37:01.161 --> 00:37:02.221
And I'm just put that up front.
00:37:03.021 --> 00:37:06.721
That's why this plan, and I already see it up front, includes a National Veterans
00:37:06.721 --> 00:37:11.001
Homeowners Association, something like HOA, run by veterans,
00:37:11.141 --> 00:37:14.641
owned by veterans, elected by veterans, you know, location to be determined
00:37:14.641 --> 00:37:16.141
and headquartered to be determined.
00:37:16.141 --> 00:37:20.441
And, you know, its role is to maintain standards across states,
00:37:20.981 --> 00:37:25.161
protect land veterans, protect land covenants, ensure their fair treatment,
00:37:25.601 --> 00:37:28.181
prevent exploitation, preserve mission integrity,
00:37:29.001 --> 00:37:31.441
liaison with government, state and local officials.
00:37:32.021 --> 00:37:36.661
You know, uniformity matters in the veteran world because veterans deserve consistency.
00:37:37.781 --> 00:37:42.541
We don't want to be held accountable to some man on a mission to save some history,
00:37:42.721 --> 00:37:47.801
historic, you know, belief or whatever the case may be. You know, this ain't about that.
00:37:48.281 --> 00:37:52.261
You know, this is governance by those who understand the population,
00:37:52.481 --> 00:37:53.781
not by outsiders guessing.
00:37:54.701 --> 00:38:01.101
You know, at this point, people say, Chris, this sounds idealistic. It's not.
00:38:01.801 --> 00:38:04.881
This plan does not only rely on perfect people.
00:38:05.541 --> 00:38:11.481
This plan does not rely on perfect people or endless funding. of political unity.
00:38:11.681 --> 00:38:14.201
It relies on land, trust, and structure.
00:38:14.781 --> 00:38:19.221
Veterans already know how to live collectively, work rotational schedules,
00:38:19.401 --> 00:38:21.781
resolve conflict internally, and govern themselves.
00:38:22.281 --> 00:38:27.861
Nothing here requires reinventing human behavior. It requires using what already works.
00:38:29.111 --> 00:38:33.411
You know, like I said, when I first thought about this and it was Veterans Day,
00:38:33.771 --> 00:38:35.731
you know, like I said, I don't want to give another speech.
00:38:36.711 --> 00:38:39.931
You know, I wanted to do something that is needed. I wanted to give a solution
00:38:39.931 --> 00:38:44.691
to our veteran problem, not with policy, not with theory, but with truth.
00:38:45.311 --> 00:38:48.191
I have veteran brothers and sisters dialed all over this country,
00:38:48.431 --> 00:38:51.431
not just soldiers, not just service members, police officers,
00:38:51.591 --> 00:38:55.491
firefighters, warriors from every area. World War II, Korea,
00:38:55.591 --> 00:38:58.051
Vietnam, Cold War, Iraq, Afghanistan.
00:38:58.771 --> 00:39:01.831
Some of them in their 80s and 90s now. Families gone, friends gone,
00:39:01.931 --> 00:39:05.531
units gone. Like I said earlier, too many of them are often dying alone.
00:39:06.151 --> 00:39:08.211
People don't understand what that means to us, veterans.
00:39:09.051 --> 00:39:11.771
You know, in the military and in the service professions like policing,
00:39:12.211 --> 00:39:14.971
no one is supposed to walk their last steps alone.
00:39:15.891 --> 00:39:19.151
We grew up watching these moments in stories and films for a reason.
00:39:19.731 --> 00:39:24.311
Warriors grasping arms, one telling the other. Brother, I wish you well on your
00:39:24.311 --> 00:39:26.211
journey. Those moments matter.
00:39:26.971 --> 00:39:30.511
It matters to be seen off by people who understand what you carried,
00:39:30.811 --> 00:39:34.631
what you sacrificed, and what you tried to do for something bigger than yourself.
00:39:35.031 --> 00:39:39.271
That dignity, that acknowledgement, is part of the bond of service.
00:39:40.011 --> 00:39:43.271
And right now, too many of our own are being denied that.
00:39:43.671 --> 00:39:49.431
Not because America is cruel, but because America has become small. Small in focus.
00:39:49.991 --> 00:39:52.391
Small in attention. Small in memory.
00:39:53.791 --> 00:39:57.171
Listen, most people are doing what they're supposed to do, raising families,
00:39:57.271 --> 00:40:01.611
working jobs, trying to survive. That isn't wrong. That's human.
00:40:02.051 --> 00:40:04.031
But here's the truth that really gets said aloud.
00:40:05.291 --> 00:40:08.471
The big picture was never supposed to be a burden of ordinary people.
00:40:08.911 --> 00:40:11.271
The big picture is the responsibility of leadership.
00:40:12.031 --> 00:40:14.511
And I'm going to be straight up by it. Right now, leadership is failed.
00:40:15.779 --> 00:40:19.839
It didn't fail quietly. It failed by selling the vision of the country piece
00:40:19.839 --> 00:40:23.919
by piece until nothing moves unless a corporation approves it,
00:40:24.259 --> 00:40:26.339
funds it, or profits from it.
00:40:26.879 --> 00:40:30.579
Somewhere along the way, values were replaced by quarterly earnings,
00:40:30.859 --> 00:40:35.739
integrity by branding, and long-term national thinking by short-term financial gain.
00:40:36.639 --> 00:40:41.319
We've allowed corporations, not citizens, not communities, not moral leadership
00:40:41.319 --> 00:40:46.679
to define what matters, what gets built, what gets protected, what gets abandoned.
00:40:47.579 --> 00:40:51.699
And the result is a country that moves fast, but stands for very little.
00:40:52.619 --> 00:40:56.839
Today is not bankrupt of money. It's dehydrated of values.
00:40:57.899 --> 00:41:03.439
And when values disappear, people shrink their focus, not because they're selfish,
00:41:03.759 --> 00:41:07.519
but because no one is guarding. the center anymore, like I said earlier.
00:41:07.979 --> 00:41:12.299
No one is articulating a shared direction we're sacrificing for.
00:41:13.199 --> 00:41:17.719
Veterans don't lose the big picture, not because we're better people,
00:41:17.899 --> 00:41:19.539
but because we're trained not to.
00:41:20.099 --> 00:41:24.119
We're trained to think beyond ourselves, to understand that individual comfort
00:41:24.119 --> 00:41:29.019
is secondary to collective survival, to hold integrity even when no one is watching.
00:41:29.339 --> 00:41:35.179
Because in our world, integrity keeps people alive and our integrity is harder to purchase.
00:41:35.699 --> 00:41:39.899
That's why this moment matters so much for me. And that's why I made this podcast
00:41:39.899 --> 00:41:43.519
before we start the new year, because this matters. I want to get this started and I need your help.
00:41:43.799 --> 00:41:48.459
Because when leadership fails to carry the big picture, someone has to pick it up.
00:41:48.779 --> 00:41:55.219
And veterans, by training, by culture, by lived experience, are prepared to do exactly that.
00:41:55.619 --> 00:41:59.779
Not to rule, not to dominate, but to restore orientation.
00:42:00.139 --> 00:42:02.919
And that's what I need to do right now because I believe that if we can get
00:42:02.919 --> 00:42:07.919
this started, it can restart the country with the other plans that I got going on too.
00:42:08.279 --> 00:42:11.979
If you follow me, you'll learn about those too because everything I do is integrated.
00:42:13.385 --> 00:42:16.945
But to remind this country that leadership is not about profit extraction.
00:42:17.185 --> 00:42:21.925
It's about stewardship, not about control, but about responsibility,
00:42:22.365 --> 00:42:25.125
not about selling the future, but protecting it.
00:42:25.605 --> 00:42:28.945
That's the gap I'm trying to step into right now. And it's long overdue,
00:42:29.045 --> 00:42:29.885
guys, and I need your help.
00:42:30.265 --> 00:42:33.825
I understand that what happens in our small world affects a larger one.
00:42:34.145 --> 00:42:37.685
That values don't scale unless they're lived somewhere first.
00:42:38.265 --> 00:42:43.345
That discipline, unity and purpose don't magically appear. They have to be a practice.
00:42:44.045 --> 00:42:47.065
That's what the Veteran Civic Renewal Compact is really about.
00:42:47.425 --> 00:42:51.825
It's about creating points of light across this country, placing where no veteran
00:42:51.825 --> 00:42:55.885
lies unseen, no elder is discarded, no survivor is forgotten,
00:42:56.105 --> 00:43:00.485
no child grows up without structure, no community forgets what values look like
00:43:00.485 --> 00:43:02.185
when they're lived, not advertised.
00:43:03.707 --> 00:43:09.127
Civic renewal wouldn't be moments. They wouldn't be monuments.
00:43:09.327 --> 00:43:10.367
They'd be living examples.
00:43:10.867 --> 00:43:14.687
Places where people can look and say, that's what it looks like when discipline
00:43:14.687 --> 00:43:16.067
and compassion still exists.
00:43:16.547 --> 00:43:19.807
And don't misunderstand me. This isn't about being joyless.
00:43:20.267 --> 00:43:23.967
Veterans love to barbecue. We love to laugh. We love to sit around telling the
00:43:23.967 --> 00:43:25.827
same stories we've told a thousand times.
00:43:26.507 --> 00:43:29.627
Structure doesn't kill joy. It makes joy last.
00:43:30.247 --> 00:43:33.487
This plan isn't about isolating veterans from America either.
00:43:33.787 --> 00:43:37.587
It's about giving America a chance to remember itself. Because when you turn
00:43:37.587 --> 00:43:41.867
these points of light on, one state at a time, one community at a time,
00:43:42.127 --> 00:43:43.387
you don't just help veterans.
00:43:43.887 --> 00:43:49.387
You restore something this country is starving for, a sense that values still
00:43:49.387 --> 00:43:53.827
matter, that service still matters, that no one who gave their life to something
00:43:53.827 --> 00:43:56.767
larger than themselves has to face the end alone.
00:43:58.107 --> 00:44:03.007
So I'm not asking for applause. I'm not asking for sympathy. I'm asking for land.
00:44:04.347 --> 00:44:10.187
I need the land. Give veterans the ground and we will build places of dignity,
00:44:10.427 --> 00:44:15.487
discipline, and belonging for our elders, for our wounded, for our children, for our country.
00:44:15.927 --> 00:44:18.587
That's the mission. And we're ready to execute.
00:44:19.547 --> 00:44:26.267
So you still with me? I appreciate your time. And I hope that was a little long. I was a little drawn out.
00:44:26.847 --> 00:44:30.467
I apologize. I had a break in the middle. I didn't realize my copies had got
00:44:30.467 --> 00:44:34.687
all jacked up in my printer. So I had to go to my original thing. But,
00:44:35.909 --> 00:44:38.389
it's time for us to put a system together. I got the system.
00:44:38.529 --> 00:44:40.509
I got the plan. It's time for us to start moving on this.
00:44:41.049 --> 00:44:45.529
You know, let's give us some land. Give the veterans land. Let that be the next
00:44:45.529 --> 00:44:47.869
initiative that we help push across this country.
00:44:48.709 --> 00:44:53.229
We'll figure it out from there. You know, I know all my veteran buddies would
00:44:53.229 --> 00:44:56.809
love to get into something like this, where they could start rebuilding places,
00:44:57.109 --> 00:45:00.709
you know, to help using new technology to help redesign, setting the stage,
00:45:00.709 --> 00:45:04.009
You've set the standard moving forward, you know, looking out for the,
00:45:04.009 --> 00:45:07.589
you know, the disabled, you know, kids that can't take care of themselves.
00:45:07.849 --> 00:45:09.729
I know my veteran brothers would love to do that.
00:45:10.449 --> 00:45:14.209
I know they would. We just need us. We just need we need a base of we need a
00:45:14.209 --> 00:45:16.829
base of operations to do this from, you know.
00:45:17.509 --> 00:45:20.229
But like I said, thanks for spending time with me.
00:45:21.369 --> 00:45:25.109
I have one more veteran message coming out, something I wrote.
00:45:25.269 --> 00:45:27.909
I wrote a message out. I'm just going to talk about briefly on a podcast.
00:45:28.069 --> 00:45:29.189
It'll be a little bit shorter than this one.
00:45:30.624 --> 00:45:35.184
Called Stand Down, just my message to veterans. You know, guys, we're very potent.
00:45:35.824 --> 00:45:40.044
And I talk about that in that podcast. I'm also going to talk about one of my
00:45:40.044 --> 00:45:44.244
initiatives called the Voting Corps, which I think is something we need to,
00:45:44.864 --> 00:45:50.404
you know, after looking at the voting history, you know, I think it's time we do efforts,
00:45:51.464 --> 00:45:53.844
create a, I got a plan, let's put it that way.
00:45:54.204 --> 00:45:58.664
And this could be part in this, you know, this veteran piece could fit into that plan too.
00:45:59.244 --> 00:46:02.004
So, like I said, all my plans link to each other, like I said,
00:46:02.044 --> 00:46:05.424
in their future thinking, and it's the future of America. And I also have one
00:46:05.424 --> 00:46:07.144
coming out called The Spine.
00:46:08.424 --> 00:46:14.204
And as my AI tells me, that's probably the biggest project in American history coming up.
00:46:14.304 --> 00:46:18.844
But I think this project in itself can lay down the foundation for our future
00:46:18.844 --> 00:46:23.264
in so many different ways, particularly in infrastructure and in management.
00:46:23.444 --> 00:46:26.404
So be looking out for that. And like I said, I thank you again once for your
00:46:26.404 --> 00:46:28.504
time and share this. follow me.
00:46:28.924 --> 00:46:32.384
If you got any comments, please provide it. Like I said, I'll do a live show
00:46:32.384 --> 00:46:36.324
to talk to people and listen to comments if anybody wants me to.
00:46:36.844 --> 00:46:42.424
I'm going to need 50 go lives on this comment when you see this comment feed.
00:46:43.284 --> 00:46:46.524
Thank you for your time. I really do appreciate it. I look forward to talking to you.
00:46:46.744 --> 00:46:52.024
I look forward to a better America than what we see a lot on the TV right now. Take care all.
00:46:52.664 --> 00:46:57.004
Hug everybody. Call everybody you haven't called in a while just to say, hey, I miss you.
