ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this interview, Dion Eusepi and Brice Ominski dive deep into the evolution of enterprise systems, focusing on the transition from legacy systems of record and engagement to more advanced systems of intelligence. Dion compares this shift to the past transition to cloud computing, highlighting how modernization often happens in place rather than replacing old systems entirely. He emphasizes the importance of integration within ecosystems like SAP and Salesforce, where companies are moving towards native interfaces and systems of intelligence that can handle complex data interactions and decision-making processes.
Brice raises concerns about the context of data in these systems, asking how businesses can ensure they are capturing the right information. Dion responds by discussing the future role of systems of intelligence in managing data contextually, making decisions based on the user’s role and needs. The conversation then shifts to the potential for low-code and no-code interfaces, with Dion suggesting that traditional systems integrators may become less relevant as systems of intelligence take over these roles, automating processes and adapting in real time to business needs.
Towards the end of the discussion, they explore the future of business process optimization, with Dion arguing that while continuous improvement remains essential, systems of intelligence will significantly augment this process. They conclude by discussing the best ways for businesses to adopt these new technologies, suggesting that experimenting with sandboxes and setting up centers of excellence could be crucial steps in harnessing the full potential of systems of intelligence.
