ABOUT THIS EPISODE
In this episode, Cat Matthews takes a step back for a personal recap—talking about rebuilding his front porch and gearing up for the upcoming Race of the Saints for Saint Ubaldo. From there, he shifts into current events, touching on reports surrounding a third assassination attempt involving Donald Trump, reactions to comments made by Jimmy Kimmel, The 60 minutes interview, and discussions around the Southern Poverty Law Center and its role in controversial narratives.
Cat zooms out to a broader reflection on the state of information today—where everything feels questionable, trust is low, and the line between real and fake keeps getting blurrier. He explores the idea that while a lot of things may not be what they seem, not everything can be dismissed entirely, leaving people stuck in a constant state of doubt.
The episode closes on a more grounded note, with Cat encouraging listeners to step away from the noise, avoid falling into the algorithm of nihilism, and focus on real life, positivity, and what actually matters.
As always, Cat is just the cowboy in the basement—this is a comedy and satirical podcast, so take it for what it’s worth.
