ABOUT THIS EPISODE
On this episode of Mondays with Coach Rice / Casting the Net, I sit down with faith-based author and speaker Michaela S. Cox for an honest, encouraging conversation about grief, faith, and learning to live fully after loss.
Michaela shares her journey through what she calls the “three Ds”: disability, divorce, and the death of her beloved husband, all by age 38, Living with legal blindness, divorce, and later raising two young children after her husband’s death, she has faced circumstances she could not change while finding ways to move forward.
We explore the framework behind her Finding Grace Through Grief books: grounding yourself, redesigning your life, cultivating an abundant mindset, choosing care and clarity, and becoming equipped with support and resources.
One part of our conversation that I especially appreciate is Michaela’s openness about therapy, faith, friendship, and asking for help. We also talk about making room for your own grief while caring for others, why rest matters, and how healing can unfold over time.
If you are grieving a loved one, navigating divorce, or trying to find your footing after an unexpected change, I hope this conversation reminds you that you do not have to figure everything out today or face it alone.
There is room for your grief, room for grace, and room to discover what comes next.
