Case Files #253: Celeste Hernandez — Los Angeles, California. Celeste Abigail Rivas Hernandez, 15, a student from Lake Elsinore, was reported missing by her parents three times in early 2024. On September 8, 2025, workers at a Hollywood impound lot found her body inside a car that had been towed off the street days earlier. For eight days she was known only as Jane Doe 550, until dental records gave her back her name on September 16. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide. In April 2026, Los Angeles police arrested the man the car was registered to, and prosecutors charged him with first-degree murder. He has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.
