Bee: If you are someone that is really looking to be able to scale your business and to take it forever, to be able to hit PB months, to be able to be expanding, to take on a team, to have dream inquiries coming into your inbox and saying, I need to work with you. And then one thing that is incredibly, incredibly important is being able to create your own momentum at any point. To not need to wait for something external to happen to you. And to instead be able to tap into the feeling and the emotion that you want at any point. Because if you are only showing up when you feel productive, when you feel creative, when you feel inspired, you are going to be capping yourself at what you can achieve. Because in order for you to be able to build a big business, you can't only work when you feel like it. You can't only post content when you feel creative. You need to be able to learn to turn it on at any point. Because the reality is you are going to have moments where Shit things happen. You are going to have moments that really, really tash you when things feel incredibly stressful. And you need to know that regardless, you can still show up in your business as needed. And this isn't about having a no days off mentality. I am someone that massively believes that in order for you to build your business, you probably are going to have to work hard. You probably are going to have to put in the effort. It's not just going to happen, and we can't just manifest it. However, we obviously will still acknowledge and process the emotions. So we need to be able to have that best of both worlds to show up when we just can't be bothered and when things feel hard thing things feel hard and to be able to take that step back when you actually need it. And so in this episode, I am going to teach you how to create your own momentum, how to recognize what is going on for you and how to not be imparted by just letting your emotions run the show. Because that is always going to impact the results that you get and the outcome that you get in your business. So welcome back to the podcast. I am so incredibly excited to have you here for this episode. Before we get started, please make sure that you subscribe to the episode, be really, really lovely and give it a five stars for me and extra bonus points if you share it to your stories. So let's get into the episode then and how we can make sure that you are constantly in momentum. So, first and foremost, we need to be able to actually name the emotion that we are going through. And the reason this is so important is research finds that when you actually just let yourself say how you are feeling and what you were experiencing, we actually feel so much better. We actually have less of an emotional response. It puts us more in control. And therefore, we are able to process what we do next better instead of just being reactive. Because when we are reactive to a situation, we are often not thinking rationally. We're often not making the best decision that we could we could or a decision that is in alignment with our goals. So let's use the example of maybe a client hands in their notice and you were a little bit surprised and it did upset you. If we were to ignore this emotion and to just try and push through a loan, this might cause you to create really reactive content that talks to the wrong person, potentially like justifying your price, for instance, or why people should book with you, or why people need a coach in general. So we create reactive content and then talks to the wrong people, the people that we don't want to work with anyway. When we ignore that we are potentially sad, we might find ourselves trying to work and not really getting getting anything done and then feeling so much worse at the end of it. So just having these emotions and ignoring them isn't going to get you to where you want to get to. And actually just letting yourself say, like, hey, I'm really sad about that, often just naming the emotion immediately reduces the level of emotional. impact that it has on us. So before we do anything, whatever you were going through right now, even if it is just a case that you feel fed up, you feel like you're lacking a bit of drive that you want, whatever it might be, name the emotion. The second thing that we need to do is separate the fact from the story. How you interpret an event makes a huge difference. Two people could have a very, very different response to the same situation simply based on how on how they view it. And this is even shown in the brain that's even shown in the brain and the areas of the brain that are active. Just how you interpret something uses your brain differently, which is crazy. So let's say, for example, you've just launched something, you've made two cells. What's your immediate reaction? You could be person A that is really happy, so ecstatic, they're buzzing, they're celebrating on their stories, they are over the moon with the fact that they have just made these two cells. Alternatively, you could be person B. That has again made these two sales, but feels disappointed. They expected more, they wanted more. Why have they only made two sales? And immediately they are questioning what went wrong. Both of these people have had the same outcome, but based on their interpretation of the events, they are very likely to do something different in response. You know, person A is likely to talk on their stories more, celebrate what's happened, shout about it more. you know, be really, really ex excited and talk about their offer more, and therefore they're probably likely to bring more people in because of how they have interpreted the two sales that ha they have already made. Whereas if we flip to person B, person B is probably likely to start questioning their launch plan. They're probably likely looking over their landing page, wondering what they said wrong. They break that self-trust of themselves and therefore they're likely talking about their offer less and they're again likely to actually get in less sales as a result of how they are letting it impact them and how they are feeling about it, all because of the interpretation of the event. So separate the fact from the story. When something happens that doesn't necessarily go to plan, what is actually true about what you are making it mean? And what is a story that your brain has immediately gone to? For example, my launch sucks. It was, you know, I I messed up or people don't want to buy from me. I'm not good enough. Those are stories that you are telling yourself, whereas the fact it might be that you didn't plan out your launch strategy enough. Or you rushed it, or you didn't give yourself enough time to sell it, or you just didn't sell it enough. Separate the fact from the story so that we can let ourselves move forward. And then we need to make sure that we are both processing the emotion and not ruminating. So when we ruminate in an emotion, this is actually going to impact your ability to problem solve and what you do next. So this is where you are sitting in the feeling sad. And because you feel sad, you are then like a no going to have a nap because you feel sad, or you're just curling up and watching Netflix for the day because you feel sad, or you're just eating crap food because you feel sad. All of these things just cause you to feel sad for longer. And they actually impact your ability to then problem solve and move through a situation. So as much as we've already said, we're not pretending to not have our moments and to not feel any form of emotion, you are human. But what we do want is to be able to move forward and not just sit in the emotion. Because when we ruminate, we're much more likely to think, why can I never get my launches right? Why is my audience buying? Like, what am I doing wrong? This is not helpful thinking. This is thinking that makes you feel trapped and stuck. versus when we are able to take that concrete action focused way of like looking at things and go, okay, well, I need to do this next time. This is my next plan. This is my these are my opportunities. This is what I can focus on, which actually allows you to move forward. Because when we sit and ruminate, it is going to cost you that momentum in your business and the result that you get. Now and then the final thing I want you to focus on is changing your inputs. Because often we think that we need to wait for something to happen. before we are creative or before we feel better. We want to wait for something to just happen. But actually you can choose what you do next. You can choose to maybe like go and have a dance. Like if you're right now, like you maybe you felt in a bit of a funny mood today, put your favorite song on. Put a really fun, upbeat song on that you just want to sing your little heart out to pull it on full volume and sing along. I can promise you will feel so much more high energy from that. And how different is that going to make you show up when you are in that state, when you're in that energy? Maybe you just need to go on a walk and take that pressure off yourself of just working through the moment. Change your input, change what you were doing to get yourself in a new state. Don't wait for the feeling before you do the action. Take the action first. That is going to lead to more of the feeling, and that is going to help you change your state. The final thing we are going to do. Is one of my favorite exercises. And this is a little bit more difficult if you are on a walk or if you're driving, but you can still do it. Just don't close your eyes, obviously, for safety purposes. But this is an incredible exercise that I do with my clients because your brain knows what it is like to feel these different emotions from feeling sad to feeling happy and proud. And this is one of the most powerful things that we have is that you can tap into any emotion at any point and then you can work from that state. And I will be so honest as well before we do this exercise because I've just had this really good reflection. Before I even started recording this podcast, I wasn't feeling particularly creative. I'd been, you know, sat at home by myself for the evening. Like I wasn't really doing anything that was making me feel fired up. And even just through talking through this topic of you, explaining it to you, I feel so much more fired up as a result. And that is the perfect example of changing your input. I changed my input, I did the thing, and therefore I felt more creative. I about more bied up as a result of this, okay? So let yourself change your input. Now, final thing, as as I keep saying, I've said so many times, final things, but we are going to do an exercise on changing your state and getting yourself into the zone that you want to fill. So if you are in a position to please close your eyes. If you are not, don't. but close your eyes, put your hand on your chest, and just take a deep breath in for your nose. And exhale through your mouth. And take another deep breath in for your nose. And exhale for your mouth. Should take another deep breath in for your nose. And exhale through your mouth. And I want you to go all the way back to a time when you felt really, really creative. I want you to go all the way back to the time when you felt really creative. I want you to see what you can see, I want you can hear what you can feel here. I want you to really feel all the feelings of when you felt so, so creative. Remember what it felt like to just be totally and utterly in the zone for the ideas and the words to just be flowing out of you, for you to feel so connected to the work that you were doing. And allow these feelings to grow bigger and bigger and stronger in your body, just letting this creativity spread through your body, just feeling like it's almost oozing out of you, like this rush of energy just coursing through your body. Go back to the time when you felt really creative. Hear what you can hear, feel the feelings of feeling so creative, and allow it to spread through your body. Now I want you to go back to a time where you felt really, really pr excited. So excited for everything that was happening. It felt like everything was going incredibly well. Like you had so many things to look forward to. I want you to go back to the time, see what you can see, hear what you can hear, and really feel the feelings of feeling so utterly excited. Feeling it coarse through like electricity, grow bigger and bigger through your body, feeling it stretching your chest. Go back to the time, see what you can see, hear what you can hear, really feel the feelings of this excitement rushing through you. How much you were grinning, how much you were maybe you were talking quicker because you were so excited about everything that was happening. It felt like things were going so unbelievably well right now. Okay. Now I want you to go back to a time where you felt so proud of yourself. So proud of everything you were doing. Go back to that time. See what you can see. Hear what you can fit here. Really feel all of the feelings of just feeling so proud of yourself. Maybe it just swirls up in your chest. Maybe you're standing taller. Maybe you've got a big grin in your face because you are so proud of all the work that you put in. Really go back to that time, really see what you can see, hear what you can hear. Just feel those feelings of how proud you felt right there and then and All of the work that you have put in and let it spread, let it grow, turning the volume up, turning the feelings up, letting them get bigger and bigger and bigger. And just take another deep breath in and exhale. And when you are ready, I want you to open your eyes. Hopefully we are feeling good. Hopefully we are feeling excited. We're feeling proud. We're feeling connected to those emotions. And that is the perfect example of how you can tune into these feelings whenever you need them. You do not need to wait but to make a sale, to wait to have a good idea, to wait for anything to happen. You can create that momentum. You can create that excitement. You can create create that feeling. Even when you're stressed, even when you're sad, even when things haven't gone to plan, you have this plan to be able to move through it. And just to recap that for you, it is from naming the emotion, separating the fact from the story, actually processing it and making sure that you aren't not just letting yourself sit in the emotion and then reinterpreting it and changing your input. I hope you have enjoyed this episode so much. I have loved recording it. Again, please make sure you subscribe, and I will see you in the next episode.
