ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Different Contexts, Common Aspirations - Antonia Leitz

In 2022, Antonia Leitz travelled from her home in Germany to fully immerse herself in an internship with UNIC Caribbean in Trinidad and Tobago. Her journey was a carefully thought out investment in continuous learning; fueled by her passion for environmental journalism and a desire to understand issues like climate change, conservation and natural resource policy from a Caribbean perspective.

As we observe International Youth Day 2026 on August 12, UNIC Caribbean is continuing our inquiry into the experience of Caribbean Youth in the regional labour market. In our 5-part podcast series, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations”, former UNIC Caribbean Public Information and Digital Communications Interns share their perspectives on theimportance of internships.
