JDU leader Sanjay Kumar Jha spoke exclusively with Times Now's Navika Kumar on the upcoming Bihar Polls, NDA's performance, PM Modi, CM Nitish Kumar and more. Sanjay Jha said, "The people here have come for their 'Yatra' on SIR. They have forgotten that these roads were built by the Nitish Kumar govt. It was impossible to change Bihar. When Nitish Kumar became Chief Minister, there was nothing in the state. He started from scratch. Anant Singh went to jail. Action has been taken. We did not protect him. In his 20-year track record, Nitish Kumar has never shielded anyone involved in crimes. In the 2024–25 budget, Bihar received significant support. Its impact will be seen in the coming days. Last time, we got fewer seats due to some confusion in the alliance. This time, the entire alliance — all five parties — is fighting together. Unless there are investors & companies, we cannot provide employment. The govt has limited jobs. Now, that opportunity exists in Bihar... Our vote base is intact. I don’t think Prashant Kishor will cut into our votes. I believe this election is entirely between the NDA and the MGB. I am not a successor to Nitish Kumar. He is the leader of the JDU and is leading this alliance in this election. He is the one who built this party. The youth leaders (Rahul Gandhi & Tejashwi Yadav) carried out their ‘Yatra’ on the SIR, and now they aren’t even talking about it. This means they misled the people and lied to them. Different parties may not agree on every issue, but we come together for a common cause. We may not align with all of the BJP’s agendas, but we form the govt on common ground. We requested the formation of a JPC for Waqf Bill. Later, the issues were addressed by its members...If transparency is being brought in, what’s the issue in that? Nitish Kumar has excellent communication with the Prime Minister. Any young politician should learn from PM Modi how to win the people’s support for a third time and still remain popular among them."
