ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Powerful Prayers | S9E3 Beyond The Weekend Podcast
In this episode of the Beyond the Weekend Podcast, Amelia Rhodes and Stephen Lewis sit down with Pastor Jeff Manion to explore what it means to trust God when life feels overwhelming. Centered on Jehoshaphat’s prayer in 2 Chronicles 20—“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you”—the conversation unpacks the tension between preparation and unexpected hardship, the difference between Old and New Testament promises, the power of spiritual friendships and praying in community, and the reminder that God’s presence remains constant even in crisis. Through honest stories of suffering, disappointment, and faith, they encourage listeners to keep turning toward God, praising him in the middle of the battle, and trusting that it’s never too late to fix our eyes on him.
