00:00:02
Speaker 1: Savina.
00:00:10
Speaker 2: This is Heather de Bro's world, and now you can live in it two times a week right here on podcast one. Welcome back everybody. I have the lovely Lizzy Whelm here today.
00:00:19
Speaker 1: Hi.
00:00:20
Speaker 2: Hi, Hi. We're quarantined together sort of. We're maintaining a good distance though we are, right, okay. I have a few things to get through before we kind of launch, and so many amazing messages from people like, please tell me you're going to keep podcasting. I'm in quarantine and I need some levity. So I'm going to go through all of that, but I just want to tell you guys a few things first, and then we're going to just talk about how we're staying sane here because I think this is still the beginning and a week from now we may feel differently. All the questions about milk. So the first episode went so well, Thanks everyone, Thank you, Thanks. It was great response, really excited about it. The upcounting upcoming panelists are amazing, and E went on hiatus, so they put us on hiatus. But we will be back as soon as E is back, so we're hoping in a couple of weeks. You know, we're all obviously monitoring the situation, but thanks again for all the incredible comments and support, and that will be back. Number two. If you've seen Terry and I are casting a new show that we're producing and starring in. So if you are a couple that have been together, you know, like five to eight nine years and you feel like, oh my gosh, what are we doing here or how did I get here? Or we need to tune up internally and externally apply But we're getting hundreds of submissions already, and so make yourself stand out. A lot of people are dming me on Instagram like, oh my god, this is perfect for us. We need to do this. Make yourself stand out, Like tell your story, like what makes you guys different? Put in your pictures, your craziness, you're you know, what you love about each other, which you can't stand about each other, all of it. So make yourselves really stand out. That's the next thing. Okay, So that's all that. Now I want to talk about something before we dive into other things. I want to talk about something about the coronavirus thing and all of us being quarantined. I did a thing on my Instagram story talking about the food bank. Now, see, I know you do a lot of charity work as well. I've worked with the Second Harvest Food Bank for I don't know, fifteen years, maybe longer, and I posted something about there's a lot of kids, public school kids who aren't going to get their meals, and I contacted the food Bank to find out what was going on, and they were saying, in Orange County alone, one hundred and twelve thousand children are not going to get food because of the school closures, and that number is just going to rise. And so what they need is thirty seven truckloads of food to last all of these kids and extra for eight weeks. So each buckload is thirty five thousand dollars. And I know this sounds like an exorbitant amount of money. Terry and I have committed to a truck. So I told the Food Bank we're in We're going to get a truck. And I'm calling all my friends to see who will put get a truck. So the easiest way to donate is FEEDOC dot org. FEEDOC dot org. And look, I understand this is an exorbitant amount of money, and I'm not telling everyone to go get a truck, but any amount of money helps and I just you know, I was at smart and finally yesterday picking something up, and the shelves are empty. And for those of us that are lucky enough to be able to buy extras and store is amazing. But you think about people that can't do that because they can't afford to do it, or people that don't have food. This is the time to donate. So you're gonna go to feedo sed dot org. And here's the other thing. If you know anyone that needs food, you call too one one and they will tell you where a food distribution location is. So two to one one. If anyone you know out there needs food and to donate, feedoc dot org.
00:04:15
Speaker 3: And it's not just going to be the kids that of course, yes, they get their meals that way, but there's going to be a whole wave of folks where hours are cut or you know, they're losing their jobs, or they're a part of that short term worker or population who will make less money and probably need this safety net.
00:04:33
Speaker 2: That's a good point. And also with restaurants, so you know, it's not it's if food does not carry the virus. They haven't closed restaurants yet.
00:04:42
Speaker 1: And nobody knows how to cook.
00:04:44
Speaker 2: So I don't we know that, but.
00:04:48
Speaker 1: Yeah, calling the restaurants you love.
00:04:50
Speaker 3: I spoke to a restaurant that I frequent for lunch because it's across the street from my office, and I said, what's the situation.
00:04:55
Speaker 1: I love your food.
00:04:56
Speaker 3: You know I'd be willing to do two nights of dinner if I can come pick it up, right, Like, great, we love that, We'll sign you up.
00:05:02
Speaker 1: So this place called Crimson it's up in LA.
00:05:04
Speaker 3: That I love, will be getting food twice a week from them, just to again keep his revenues going so he can keep payroll.
00:05:11
Speaker 1: Because I love these people. I see them all the time. I don't want them to lose their job.
00:05:14
Speaker 2: Brilliant idea. And the other thing you can do is buy gift certificates to restaurants that even if you're not going to use them now, and you're going to use them you know when you know things get back to normal. It kind of front loads money for the restaurants so they can pay the staff.
00:05:28
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:05:28
Speaker 3: I think think about the businesses you know really depend on foot traffic, and if you love them, call them and try to help them out.
00:05:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent. Okay, So let's be a little lighter for a second. But you, Lizzie posted something the other day. It was so funny. You were in the grocery store. I mean, it's not funny because there wasn't a lot of items there, but it was funny because you were saying, remember that game show where they would give you random items.
00:05:55
Speaker 1: What was it called?
00:05:56
Speaker 2: I was trying to cut through kitchen. I don't know.
00:06:00
Speaker 1: No, it was something shop like and it was Japanese or something.
00:06:05
Speaker 2: Oh, I was thinking about the one where they gave you like a mystery bag. They would pick someone from the audience and they would be a mystery bag of three items and you could use like pantry staples to make something. So Lizzie's walking down the ais She's like, here's pisole stock and here's this. It was so funny and I was thinking, that's so me.
00:06:23
Speaker 1: And now it's.
00:06:24
Speaker 3: Become my life in my own home because I'm out of a couple of things and they don't have them.
00:06:28
Speaker 1: They be stocked. But I really was.
00:06:29
Speaker 3: Planning on making a couple of recipes and now I'm like kitchen magician trying to figure.
00:06:33
Speaker 1: Out what substitute.
00:06:35
Speaker 2: Okay, well this is I want to tell you what Lizzy was making the other day, Lizzie who was making venison stew, because when you're quarantined, one whips up a little pot in the lach crusette of venison stew. And I'm looking at that and I'm like, oh my gosh. I texted Lizzie. I'm like, can you come over and cook for me?
00:06:53
Speaker 1: How much I've stocked? I know nothing to make with I know, I'm so bad.
00:06:59
Speaker 2: I bought like the salamis that I make and stuff to make potato lot because and then we were just in the kitchen with some of the kids and and you were like, make tacos. I'm like, oh wait, I know how to make tacos. I can do that.
00:07:10
Speaker 1: And Pinterest is so good for you can put in like have you ever gotten Pinterest?
00:07:14
Speaker 3: And you're like black jeans outfit, no show you all of the well, you're really well dressed, and you have a good eye for.
00:07:19
Speaker 2: Putting things together, thank you.
00:07:21
Speaker 3: Not so much in the kitchen, but you can put you know, I just put in venison chili or something, and then I did it four or five times to see four or five different recipes, right, just sort of riff from those.
00:07:32
Speaker 2: It's good these as you go along.
00:07:34
Speaker 1: You don't have to be accurate with everything and exactly everything. You just sort of get going.
00:07:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Well we'll just see how Heather's Heather's cooking chronicles go. We'll see.
00:07:42
Speaker 1: I am worried I'm going to gain so much weight. The COVID nineteen is a real thing.
00:07:47
Speaker 2: There's meaning nineteen pounds. That's hilarious.
00:07:51
Speaker 1: So much snacks.
00:07:52
Speaker 3: I mean, our pantry is full of things that are just calling my name.
00:07:56
Speaker 1: I mean there's.
00:07:57
Speaker 3: Chocolate covered pretzels, there's you know, chips, there's dips.
00:08:01
Speaker 1: I have more avocados than I know what to do with. So I'm making guacamolean than you make Guapamoleion doesn't last very long, so then you got to make nachos.
00:08:07
Speaker 2: I mean, it's like it's a never ending guacamole cycle. This is how I feel about it. So I had gained a few pounds. I told you, Terry loves it. He says, no one wants to f a skeleton.
00:08:19
Speaker 1: Well, I think it was great. Thanks people that don't see you in person, like, I think it looks good.
00:08:23
Speaker 2: Thanks, But everyone I was I was talking about this last week. But people were like, you have too much filler in your face. I'm like, it's LB's people. No one injected it. But anyway, this is what I decided I was going to do because I was talking to the kids last night about should we learn a new language? Should we took you never know that could happen. Maybe I'll learn how to cook. Not happening. But you know what I really want to do. I want to take this break as like an actual break, so a couple different things. I don't sleep that well. I would actually like to sleep. I would like to go to bed at a normal hour. And now that I don't have to get up extra early to drive to school, I would like to just do that. And because I'm not going to go to organize gym classes for the time being, because I did drive to Orange Theory this morning and I sat outside the class and I felt like it. No came home and I worked out in the gym dancers. I'm lucky enough to have that. But look, you know, you got two sacks of flour, and you know a living room, you can use them as weights and work out there.
00:09:22
Speaker 3: I know there's a lot of Instagrammers that I follow that are workout people.
00:09:26
Speaker 1: You can kind of save those workouts. And there was a girl who always.
00:09:29
Speaker 3: I'll find her, but she just was had a pillow in between her knees and she was doing sit ups.
00:09:34
Speaker 1: And like punching the pillow.
00:09:35
Speaker 2: Huh.
00:09:35
Speaker 1: And she had a whole workout with just the couch and the pillow. And there's a lot of that going on. Plus there's all these streaming.
00:09:41
Speaker 2: You can there's that Beach Body is really good.
00:09:44
Speaker 1: Obey is amazing.
00:09:45
Speaker 2: What's Obey?
00:09:45
Speaker 1: Ob It's kind of more sculpting.
00:09:48
Speaker 2: Okay, you'd love it. Oh, okay, I'm writing this down.
00:09:51
Speaker 3: Obe is a great stream Yeah. And Dance Body is fun. If you like to dance.
00:09:58
Speaker 2: I do like to dance. That was my thing. So I get.
00:10:01
Speaker 3: Shootines are quite complicated. I'm going to go out and say I'm terrible at that class.
00:10:06
Speaker 2: But if you like to dance, I do like to dance, and I get bored and.
00:10:10
Speaker 1: Fun with teenagers, like if you have daughters.
00:10:13
Speaker 2: And they will that's a good idea.
00:10:15
Speaker 1: Put it on the living room. You can usually just cast from your phone right right.
00:10:19
Speaker 2: So I'm going to lose a few of the pounds, not all of them because like Terry likes it, I am going to get my sleep together and I'm gonna, you know, go back to like family game nights and things that we haven't been doing. It's so weird with teenagers and getting them. You know, it's a transitional time that we've been working through. But I feel like the universe has kind of given us a gift in a way. And I'm not trying to say this is a good thing by any means, but if you have to say, all right, well, where can we find the good in this? To me, it's that. So we did go out to dinner the other night to this Ramen place that the twins love and they go there with in Laguna and they go there with their friends all the time. Gurama, have you ever been there? Yeah? It's easy, really, Yeah, I love that. So we went to the ground. But the thing about this place is that because they go there all the time, like we are not really allowed there because it's their place, and you know, Terry's bougie and doesn't really like joints. I was like, I don't know, I was gonna like that. There's no table c walth. Anyway, we all went the six of us. We went there the other night. You noticed there was no photo. There was no photo. We went because I was so happy that they wanted us to come. I didn't want to do anything to piss anyone off or make it into like a moment or And I don't always take pictures when we go out, obviously, but I was so happy to be there that I wanted to because I couldn't believe they let us come. But I didn't. And as a matter of fact, there was there were two girls sitting at a booth near us that were holding up noodles and like taking pictures, like obviously for their Instagram. And I commented to Max, like, oh my god, look at them taking pictures. And all she heard was picture and she goes, we're not taking a picture. I'm like, no, no, no, didn't say that, didn't no, no, wasn't suggesting that. Just look over there, deer. But we got there. I took out wipes. I wiped down the whole table. I wipe down the menus, I wiped down the utensils. Chopsticks are you know, in a sealed thing. So that's fine, and we had the most amazing time with dinner.
00:12:21
Speaker 1: But you do have to program. You can't just expect family time and this time together to go well if you do not have a plan.
00:12:28
Speaker 2: I agree.
00:12:29
Speaker 1: I think every night you kind of got to get set some ground rules. I did a whole schedule with my kids so.
00:12:33
Speaker 3: They knew when free time was because I kept finding everybody on the couch right lean on whatever.
00:12:39
Speaker 1: Or staring at their phones, and like, we're going to kind of still run a school day around here. So this was our Friday, and.
00:12:44
Speaker 3: They had a ton of free time because they got through their schoolwork really fat.
00:12:48
Speaker 1: And then each day I'm having them clean out one area of their room.
00:12:52
Speaker 2: That's brilliant.
00:12:53
Speaker 1: Fridays was dressers.
00:12:55
Speaker 2: I saw you did that, and.
00:12:56
Speaker 1: We have seventeen bags from just three kids. Dressers. Yeah.
00:13:03
Speaker 2: I had already started kind of good will. That's so good.
00:13:06
Speaker 1: It's mostly T.
00:13:07
Speaker 3: Shirts since I have three boys and you know, and boys in drymal collect Yes, get me wrong, we didn't.
00:13:11
Speaker 1: Have that much clothes, you guys, but.
00:13:14
Speaker 3: You know, I just filled up a bunch of grocery bags and that was great.
00:13:18
Speaker 1: I think we're going to do shoes on Monday. Very exciting.
00:13:23
Speaker 2: It's very exciting. We kind of did a purge recently, so, but we still need to go back because there's a lot of clutter that needs to be handled. However, this is my feeling on the whole thing. I don't want to do it. We haven't started school yet.
00:13:35
Speaker 1: When do you start to think?
00:13:37
Speaker 2: Okay, So the younger ones start on Tuesday and the older ones start on Wednesday. That's just how it's lined up. So what I'm allowing them to do this weekend is have a weekend and kind of be lazy because there's no reason to start all that until it's time to start all that. So tonight we're having a family dinner and Taranner laying out the ground rules for what we expect.
00:13:58
Speaker 3: And you know, I'm very ut what I don't think I have enough internet power coming into.
00:14:03
Speaker 2: My house for all the school, all.
00:14:05
Speaker 1: Of the video conferencing that's going to have to happen.
00:14:08
Speaker 3: On Friday, we had two three video conferences happening simultaneously, right, and mine was pixelated.
00:14:15
Speaker 2: Like because you're working too, working.
00:14:18
Speaker 3: My husband's working, and another kid was working. And our neighbors complained about the same thing. We live in La where like the fiber's kind of old, Like now you get all techy because you're starting.
00:14:27
Speaker 1: I mean, you're better off because you're newer.
00:14:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, you'll be fine here, but some of these neighborhoods, like it's old fiber, it's not super strong.
00:14:35
Speaker 1: Hmm.
00:14:36
Speaker 2: Didn't think about that.
00:14:37
Speaker 1: I don't know where that'll be an issue, but it's definite an issue for us. So we're gonna have to figure that out.
00:14:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're taking tonight to have the big Hey, these are good, theseus. Well, we're Terry and I are talking this afternoon because we've been going back and forth, like I don't know, and you know, everything changes daily, so you have to kind of be a little bit fluid with it and figured it out as we go. But you know, we have to to decide what the parameters are for friends. I mean, are you letting your children see anyone else?
00:15:05
Speaker 3: Well, the tricky thing is there's a couple of families that we know they're not seeing other people other than us, and vice versa.
00:15:12
Speaker 2: Exactly families on our street.
00:15:14
Speaker 3: We're going to do game night. They are not going anywhere, and we're not going anywhere. So we've already been with each other once.
00:15:19
Speaker 2: Right, we're in a similar situation.
00:15:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll like cocktails and games.
00:15:24
Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, but you've got a circle. I would tell you we're doing about the same thing. Terry's still working. He's the most sterile dude around probably with the gown and the mask and the scrubbing, and the clients canceled. No, no, but I'm sure I'm sure they will. I will tell you that so many of his patients come from out of the country that I'm sure we're gonna see that. But right now, no, he's still going to work. And uh, anyway, so we're gonna outline for the kids, you know what we expect. But in general, I will tell you that the school week is the school week.
00:16:01
Speaker 1: I agree.
00:16:02
Speaker 2: These are the hours that you need to be quote in school, according to your school. And then you still have to do homework, you still have to study. You you know, right now, I'm still allowing Nick to play tennis with his coach.
00:16:18
Speaker 1: And again, I mean, you just need to know where the coach has been.
00:16:20
Speaker 2: But they don't. They're not even near each other.
00:16:23
Speaker 1: To my dances class, we or six feet apart.
00:16:25
Speaker 3: It's fine, I will say, Charlie, my high schooler is they're keeping the same bell schedule. So there'll be video conferencing on the same schedule.
00:16:34
Speaker 1: Same break.
00:16:34
Speaker 2: I think I think our high school is doing the same thing because they said they start eight am on Wednesday.
00:16:39
Speaker 1: I'm grate that.
00:16:40
Speaker 2: It's great. We need to keep them on a schedule. And then it's the problem is going to be the weekends.
00:16:44
Speaker 1: The problem is going to be our third graders.
00:16:48
Speaker 2: They're gonna get fat.
00:16:49
Speaker 1: They're gonna get fat. There's gonna be a lot of whining, really messy rooms.
00:16:53
Speaker 2: No, it's going to be roadblocks all day.
00:16:56
Speaker 1: I know I'm going to have all over doing laps around the block.
00:16:59
Speaker 2: I'm hoping that the weather gets better so that they can swim. But I did lay in like a new supply of games and books and you know, little things like that. You, oh my god, tell about your puzzle.
00:17:15
Speaker 1: Everybody go by this.
00:17:17
Speaker 3: So if you google on or go on Amazon and you put in Ombra puzzle and what comes up is a puzzle that sort of goes from the pantone color of like pink to purple, and.
00:17:30
Speaker 1: So there's no images on it. It's just this color wash.
00:17:33
Speaker 2: And it's so bad. Oh my god, it's so wrong.
00:17:37
Speaker 1: I don't even know how long it's going to take to finish, but that's only challenge. I love a puzzle though.
00:17:45
Speaker 2: I love a puzzle too, but this is literally it's like it's like blue mush to pink mush to white. Like there's just no way to do it.
00:17:55
Speaker 3: But there is a way. I watched someone online do it. You can watch on YouTube people do it. You have to organiz all the colors.
00:18:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, I just don't know, man. But with a puzzle, yeah, I love a puzzle. No, I think puzzles are great. But and I also think, you know, people need to get outside and walk around.
00:18:14
Speaker 1: I know, we're so lucky we can run out of the beach. Or you have that big hill and dare you to have the kids run up and down?
00:18:20
Speaker 2: Yeah? Right, see they barely want to drive up and down the hill.
00:18:26
Speaker 1: Cut to five days from now, you're here with them.
00:18:29
Speaker 2: Yeah, Harry's like peace.
00:18:30
Speaker 1: I have surgeries but they all canceled. But he's still going.
00:18:34
Speaker 2: He's sitting. He's sitting by himself in the surgery center. Are you very busy?
00:18:40
Speaker 3: No?
00:18:40
Speaker 2: But I do think it's I really think it's important to like find some stuff to do that you haven't been able to do. I'm not doing every Lindsay, by the way, has more I said, Lindsay, by the way, has more energy than anyone we know, right, And she's already like probably reorganized her garage and it set up her homeschool.
00:18:59
Speaker 3: There's no sports to that on and you all the listeners know that I know Lindsay and we all know each other. Yeah, so I think we should bet on which day Lindsay loses it.
00:19:11
Speaker 1: And we'll see you on inste because she's such a good no.
00:19:14
Speaker 2: I think she's already there. She was texting me this morning and she's gonna be on the show tomorrow, I think. And I'll totally ask her about this because I said her I go, I go, hey, Lind's, how are you going to handle this whole like in the house thing? I go, because you know, historically you have intimated that homeschooling sounds good to you, So the universe is giving that to you. And she started laughing. She's like, I know now they haven't even started the homeschool yet. And she on her Instagram story today she's like, I need to tough about my kids. I'm thinking about having a Navy seal come over for a few days and I text her, I go Navy seal. She goes, I kind of want to go live with the monks for a week. Do you think that's crazy? I said yes, But I'm like, you've only been in the house a day.
00:19:59
Speaker 1: It's I feel for these moms with little kids. I really do.
00:20:03
Speaker 2: Oh it's the worst. Can you imagine if our kids were little? By the way, all you moms with those little kids out there, god bless.
00:20:09
Speaker 1: I mean, I think it's okay to hide in your pantry.
00:20:12
Speaker 3: I'm just putting that out there for anyone that is right now feeling like I can't do it anymore.
00:20:17
Speaker 1: I don't think I could do it. I really don't think I could do it.
00:20:20
Speaker 2: I'm trying to think.
00:20:21
Speaker 1: Figure it out.
00:20:22
Speaker 2: Babies are easier because they just do their thing. You move them from the pack and play to a saucer and out it.
00:20:30
Speaker 3: You're used to a date, your situation or any Now you have to question whether nay can come. And then kindergarten first and second, really online learning like it's.
00:20:39
Speaker 2: Not going to happen, there's nothing all of that. You're the teacher.
00:20:42
Speaker 1: You're the teacher. I'm a terrible teacher too.
00:20:45
Speaker 2: Well, it's hard for your kids to learn from you. I mean, I have so much respect for people that homeschool their children because I know taekwondo. There was a bunch of homeschooled kids and I would talk to the moms and they loved it, I mean really loved it. It was like they're calling and they wanted to do it, and they would meet up with other homeschoolers for field trips and this and that, and it really worked for them and it was very impressive. I think most of us can't teach our kids because they won't accept it. And it's just hard because to have that kind of authority and have someone respect you as a teacher and then also clean up your room, and it's like just too much.
00:21:22
Speaker 1: It is. And then there's the working moms that still have to work from home.
00:21:25
Speaker 2: So how are you managing it because you have a huge, high level job at Serious XM. Is your office closed?
00:21:32
Speaker 3: We are not all of it, So SERIOUSXM will still and Pandora will still be streaming, so we were not going to stop programming, okay for now. Again it's very fluid, but still keep tuning in non essential employees, so that would be people that don't need to be in a studio recording work from home.
00:21:49
Speaker 1: But I was on a conference call on Friday and Oliver was like doing the dance behind me and like putting Bunny, I'm trying to make a pretty form over. And I think it's just the new normal.
00:22:02
Speaker 3: Like a girl on the other end of the call, her little one walked in with like no clothes off.
00:22:11
Speaker 1: You know. I feel for my younger employees.
00:22:12
Speaker 3: They're in like a roommate situation in Manhattan, like three girls now all working from home, and.
00:22:17
Speaker 1: They don't have the space. I mean, there's not enough. You can't all be talking at the same time.
00:22:22
Speaker 2: Oh gosh, right, we're just being really fluid.
00:22:25
Speaker 1: I'm keeping the same schedule. We're keeping the same you know.
00:22:27
Speaker 3: We're asking every single manager to have a morning meeting with their team, make sure everybody has you know, is productive and.
00:22:32
Speaker 1: Has what they need, and making sure they have monitors at their house that they need them.
00:22:36
Speaker 3: But it's just I think you should have to have empathy and patience and take a deep breath.
00:22:41
Speaker 1: But we got to keep business going.
00:22:44
Speaker 3: I isers want to advertise there's more streaming than ever before. Did you see Disney launched Frozen two three months early today. No, yeah, they put it on Disney Plus today. They like surprise and delight all these families with Frozen two, and I think more. I mean, you should do that, like try to figure out ways to surprise and delight families at home.
00:23:04
Speaker 1: Put content you were holding back on.
00:23:06
Speaker 2: Meaning because it's still it was just at in the theater, so it wasn't supposed to come out on Disney Plus for a while.
00:23:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, it was three more months, is what NPR said this morning. But they put it on today.
00:23:14
Speaker 2: Oh that's cool.
00:23:15
Speaker 1: It was good fun.
00:23:17
Speaker 2: That was scary when Disneyland closed. I went, oh, huh.
00:23:20
Speaker 1: You know.
00:23:20
Speaker 3: And it's the liability issue, right, I mean, yes, we all need the social distance that we're going to control this.
00:23:25
Speaker 1: But I think there are some you know, there was some talk this morning.
00:23:28
Speaker 3: I was with a small group of people five feet apart doing a swim test for my son, and everyone was kind of calming on the same thing, like it's all the liability, Like the pools are closing, it's floring in the pool. But I guess you can get it from the bathroom.
00:23:42
Speaker 2: It's places where people gather. Yeah, away, So hasn't canceled all the bars in New York.
00:23:49
Speaker 3: I don't know if you're on Twitter, like, people so pissed because everyone's pretending like it's spring break out at the bars, restaurants packed tons of pictures.
00:23:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, so are they going? I was reading about it, but did they make a blanket statement about it?
00:24:03
Speaker 1: Until they do, people are going to go out.
00:24:06
Speaker 2: The bars are scary because, let's be honest, belly up to the bar you are, there's no social distance, like do you have A.
00:24:13
Speaker 1: Bartender was saying, I followed.
00:24:15
Speaker 3: I don't follow this guy, but I had, you know, wait into the rattle comments and he was saying, I can't quit my job, right, I have to show up at the bar.
00:24:23
Speaker 1: I have to lean in because it's so loud.
00:24:25
Speaker 3: I'm within like five centimeters of the person trying to get their vodka soda order.
00:24:29
Speaker 1: Right, I have to touch all of this. We can't keep it clean, we can't keep wiping down the bar. And I have to.
00:24:34
Speaker 2: Do it because I gotta make money.
00:24:35
Speaker 1: Right. I think that's tough. That's tough.
00:24:42
Speaker 2: Would you feel comfortable going to a restaurant right now?
00:24:45
Speaker 1: No, I'm look.
00:24:47
Speaker 3: I think it's all the familiar places that make me feel a little more comfortable.
00:24:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, if it was in the neighborhood, the place we all go.
00:24:55
Speaker 3: But then you do the math really quickly and it only takes you know, one like the Kirkland, Washington nursing home situation is it's like one person walked in put it all the surfaces and that whole nursing home.
00:25:07
Speaker 2: Got it right.
00:25:08
Speaker 3: That can work anywhere, And I know I can fight it, but I don't know if I, you know, give it to my nanny who gives it to her ninety one year old.
00:25:16
Speaker 1: Mother and then she gets sick. Wouldn't that be awful?
00:25:20
Speaker 3: Yeah?
00:25:20
Speaker 2: Terrible. That's why I think the lockdown is good. I think that if everyone stays home and does their thing for a couple of weeks and then we see how that goes.
00:25:28
Speaker 1: And again, I think you have to flip the script in your head back where we started. What can you do that you didn't do before?
00:25:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, and how do you stay sane?
00:25:35
Speaker 3: What goals did you have at the beginning of the year that you haven't done? Lindsay said she wants to get organized. I have got to get my garage organized. It's a mess.
00:25:42
Speaker 1: You're going to sleep.
00:25:43
Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I mean, I'll tell you, Like, for me, it's been you know, I was at a moment where all of my business things were like everything was in full force. You know, my show was on the air and doing well, and our book was supposed to come out this month, and by the way, the book is still coming out this month, but we're not doing any press for it. You know, it's an amazing book and we're super proud of it, and we work so hard, and HarperCollins works so hard. But it's a diet book. You know, It's just it just doesn't feel we're going to need it. I know we're going to need it later, but to go promote a diet book when we have this health crisis is just insane. So we're sort of shelving that and we'll pick it back up later.
00:26:32
Speaker 3: You know.
00:26:33
Speaker 2: I have a clothing line like all this stuff. But I'm not even upset. I just feel like this is life. We all go through these things. But I love that we're all sort of doing it together.
00:26:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. Can I tell everybody that I got to see the clothes?
00:26:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, go tell We're sitting in the room with all the pieces there's not enough for me to steal or I would be I'm so excited about this line.
00:26:56
Speaker 1: And I think it's only one month. Yeah, this is just smart.
00:26:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, all these shoes, bags, clothes are all just Mark.
00:27:02
Speaker 3: Actually two cars of shoes for sure, there's three bags. I like, I really want that. You guys have seen her in that pink Moto jacket.
00:27:08
Speaker 2: I think that's for April.
00:27:10
Speaker 1: It's going to sell out for five seconds.
00:27:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's awesome.
00:27:12
Speaker 1: Matth fabric is you can sleep in it.
00:27:14
Speaker 2: I know, it's so nice. I'm really proud of this line, and out of everything I do, it's the one thing I think that's going to still be fine because I know all I'm doing is online shopping right now.
00:27:25
Speaker 1: You oh, don't even get.
00:27:27
Speaker 3: Me started that shopop sale that happened like right as this was happening. I was like, oh, I'll just order like eight thousand dollars worth a clue. And I was letting go to stagecoach, so I actually in my shopping car had put all my stage coach.
00:27:42
Speaker 2: Oh gosh, and they.
00:27:44
Speaker 3: All arrived and they're so cute, and I think I'll just keep it in. We're in October because they're rescheduling.
00:27:49
Speaker 2: Stagecoats, are they for October? Yeah, so it's going to be crazy, by.
00:27:53
Speaker 1: The way, September October for people, it's going to be mad. Why everything's rescheduling to like the same.
00:27:58
Speaker 2: Two months of the year because Coachella is Coachelle.
00:28:02
Speaker 3: I mean all the festival get pushed concert I bet it gets pushed. For people that work, all of these conferences are all getting pushed.
00:28:10
Speaker 1: To like summer and fall. I have to believe weddings, birthday.
00:28:13
Speaker 3: I mean, imagine how many people are on the phone right now trying to figure out what to do. Where can I push this thing I was planning on doing to a later date.
00:28:22
Speaker 2: So we were at the Island Hotel last week. Terry's patients stay there. Oh yeah, so like as an aftercare the we have nurses there and stuff, and so we were talking with the managers and the general manager of the hotel and everything, and at that point they hadn't seen any decline in occupancy in gatherings and anything.
00:28:45
Speaker 1: Well, I had to.
00:28:46
Speaker 3: Cancel my Delta flight to New York tomorrow. Why I just canceled it and I'll like work it out later. But the hotel, I was on the phone for four hours trying to work out the hotel.
00:28:58
Speaker 1: I didn't want to walk from the money.
00:29:00
Speaker 2: Four hours and did they finally give you a refund?
00:29:03
Speaker 3: No?
00:29:04
Speaker 2: What was the hodel?
00:29:05
Speaker 1: It was the Marriott Essex House and.
00:29:08
Speaker 2: They wouldn't refund you.
00:29:09
Speaker 1: I had to eat it. Well, I have a note endo the manager. I'll get my way. I don't even want my money back. Just I'll stay there another time.
00:29:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, just move it forward.
00:29:19
Speaker 1: I'm not trying to get my money back. I like that wdall give them the business, and it's part of my you know, it's part of bond boy. I'm such a bond boy. Points horror. Well, I'll get my way. It's just I think everyone's so inundated, you know, and there might be a baby boom.
00:29:34
Speaker 2: That's what I was thinking. Oh my gosh, they end of twenty twenty, they're gonna be so many babies, right, Yeah, because isn't about nine months to the end of the year. Oh yeah, are you going to have another baby?
00:29:48
Speaker 1: I wouldn't have another baby.
00:29:51
Speaker 3: Maybe if someone said we can cure this virus immediately, but you you know, chosen woman have to have another baby.
00:29:58
Speaker 1: I'd do it for all you people.
00:30:00
Speaker 2: You're such a good person.
00:30:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, me too, other people's babies. I mean, I'm done.
00:30:07
Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to like the grandmother of it all. Yeah, that looks like a great gig, Like you come and go, you get to do the fun stuff, you know what I mean, Like you get to stooping' and save the day. I like that.
00:30:22
Speaker 1: And I really loved infant. I mean I loved all the stages of coursements around child.
00:30:26
Speaker 3: If there's a neighbor down the street who has a baby, right, maybe the baby zero to like six months, yes, and then call.
00:30:33
Speaker 2: Me when they're five or totally. I would say even fifteen months, I would.
00:30:37
Speaker 1: Take them falling down the stair.
00:30:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I think it's funny. I mean I like that age. I just think it's cute. They change so much every day and everything. But like fifteen months to yeah, four them out.
00:30:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, but if I.
00:30:51
Speaker 3: Could, if you could swap, what if you could give away two teens toddlers.
00:30:55
Speaker 2: I'll keep the teens. They're good right now. Yeah, they like us, they talk to us. We're good right now with them, and they can drive us.
00:31:03
Speaker 1: I know my son got his perman I can't wait for that he did, yes past. He starts his driver's lessons next week.
00:31:12
Speaker 2: Oh, it's good.
00:31:12
Speaker 1: Now that I'm saying that, I wonder if they get cancel. I hired you guys, so I'm just going to be like it's happening.
00:31:18
Speaker 2: Body, Well, I think what you should just do, honestly is wipe his car down before he gets in.
00:31:22
Speaker 1: I think they're going to use our car. No, they have to use his car because.
00:31:25
Speaker 2: Of the devil pedal, Right, they have to use their cars.
00:31:27
Speaker 1: Charlie's tutor we use.
00:31:29
Speaker 3: We work with an executive functioning coach and it's a pretty big company.
00:31:32
Speaker 2: So that yeah, people they all went to only Skype. Yeah, we're doing that too. Isn't that crazy?
00:31:38
Speaker 1: There's a silver lining in that, though.
00:31:39
Speaker 3: I think once the kids get comfortable with that, you know, I was thinking about, will this stigma of online learning diminish so that kids can go to college through some of these online companies that cost so much less.
00:31:50
Speaker 2: Money, which is one hundred percent true. I worry a little bit about the long term effects of people being okay, being isolated. Yeah, that's what I was thinking about, because someone else was talking about the same thing about how much cheaper it would be to go to college if everyone did online, not going to brick and mortar. But yeah, there's something about learning with people.
00:32:14
Speaker 1: But I think you could take a page out of the homeschool book, right.
00:32:17
Speaker 3: Those kids are in a community of homeschooled kids that need at the park, that meet, you know, at various locations.
00:32:23
Speaker 1: They'll go to museums together to enrich whatever the programming is that they're right, if.
00:32:28
Speaker 3: UCLA offered learn from home. But on Tuesdays and Thursdays, you're in group B.
00:32:33
Speaker 1: You're going to report to this room and you're going to work on a group piece.
00:32:36
Speaker 3: Right, So you can process so many more kids through the same campus.
00:32:41
Speaker 2: But think about your three kids. One of them I'm sure would not do Yeah, that's that for sure. But I'm saying, like I know, out of my four, two of them are going to have a really tough time with this. We'll get through it because like, thank God victorious here, she's kind of now in charge of running our aur home school. So that way, I so she'll like help them in the mornings and make sure you know, every anyone needs help and whatever. And then I'm in charge of the you know, afternoon activity into evening dinners and all that. But if I didn't have that and I had to do it, first of all, I'll be fighting with everyone. But I know Coco and Nikki are going to have a tough time with this because they need to be in the classroom environment be held accountable. It's like me with working out. Honestly, is that I need to We have a gym downstairs. I'm very lucky, beautiful gym. I used it this morning. But I need to go to a class I like people there. I like the energy. I like to have an appointment to go to. I need to be held accountable.
00:33:45
Speaker 1: I could never wait from home. I love going.
00:33:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, I like going somewhere. So that's why even in the last three years, you know, being even though I like go to LA for the podcast and I take meetings and stuff, a lot of what I do is at home, and it's hard for me because I work better with people.
00:34:04
Speaker 1: Can we get back to setting up a classroom in your garage?
00:34:06
Speaker 2: Like, yeah, well I have it upstairs. So do you know? You know upstairs I have that desk.
00:34:11
Speaker 1: Posted to my account the tanning booth. Did you see that?
00:34:15
Speaker 2: Yes, I did see your Tanning.
00:34:17
Speaker 1: Booth because when you get in it you can't hear as much. And was like, we'll just put a desk in there, zip it up.
00:34:23
Speaker 2: Oh you're pop up tense. Yes, I remember this. Did you literally buy four? Three of them?
00:34:28
Speaker 3: But I was like, this could be a solid solution. We then found I set up desks for each child. They all decided they wanted to be in a room with the door, which I'm not sure if that's gonna work.
00:34:37
Speaker 2: But they're gonna Are you gonna put all three of them together?
00:34:40
Speaker 3: No, So each one of them have a desk. I tested the Internet in each of them. One of them is a little week, so I might have to move him. They'll be alone, but then we're.
00:34:50
Speaker 1: Gonna have all these check ins. I don't know what I'm doing. I don't have a victoria, but I think I've got it sort of big. Although there's all these kids.
00:34:59
Speaker 3: Hold from college, I'm I can't I find one of them and then quarantine them with me and then pay them.
00:35:04
Speaker 2: That's brilliant, Like they have nothing to do.
00:35:07
Speaker 3: I think they have some online learning, but they can probably bang it out pretty quick.
00:35:09
Speaker 2: I think that's a great idea, And if you can't do that. Listen. If I didn't have a Victoria, I'll tell you what I'd figured out. But this is what I would do personally. So I have upstairs in our hallway, I put this long desk thing. It's not built in, but it looks like it's built in.
00:35:26
Speaker 1: Put them together.
00:35:27
Speaker 2: No, no, it's a one, huge, long one with four stations at it. Now the twins will never sit there. That's okay, because four of them cannot be listening and doing all that together. It's too many people together to your point. But I can put Cat and Coco in that hallway together and so that they can do theirs. If that doesn't work, Coco will go in her room because she's got a perfect they both have good desk. But Katerina already asked to sit in that hallway, so that'll be her spot. Coco will either be in her room or in that hallway, and then the twins will be in their own rooms.
00:36:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think you just keep that schedule, like if the twins are on that bell schedule, you kind of put everyone on it.
00:36:05
Speaker 2: So that's where we hear. We actually haven't been given the information yet, so tomorrow we'll get tomorrow's Monday, and tomorrow we'll get the information for the little ones to start on Tuesday. And then I'm going to do the same thing you did, which is write out the schedule so everyone's very clear on class times, break homework time and the whole thing. You do not have a.
00:36:26
Speaker 1: Whiteboard or a like I shared my oversized post.
00:36:30
Speaker 2: It, which is great.
00:36:32
Speaker 1: You can go on Amazon you can put in oversized post it.
00:36:37
Speaker 3: They have ones that are just flat and you can write on them and put it on your refrigerator.
00:36:41
Speaker 1: And it's huge, right too, the size of I don't know, it's probably like three feet by three feet, maybe bigger.
00:36:46
Speaker 3: Or there's one that comes as an easel, which if you want an easel type. But I think you have to publish the schedule like hey, and then set some timers and keep everyone on it absolutely.
00:36:57
Speaker 2: And I think what's also important is to let them have some free time playing roleblocks or whatever on their computer and doing all that. Not every moment has to be like now let's go for a hike, and now we're going to do a puzzle, and now we're going to read books. You're going to exhaust them.
00:37:12
Speaker 3: Well, there was a psychologist that it's made its way all around Instagram.
00:37:16
Speaker 1: In fact, I love Elizabeth Banks.
00:37:17
Speaker 2: I don't know if you love her, but I do.
00:37:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, And it is an adult schedule, so the kids are all going to get these schedules, but it's an adult schedule. And did she posted or maybe it was Kristen Bell, but I think you'll see it and saying yes, creative time, food time, relaxation time, chores, you know.
00:37:36
Speaker 1: And it has it all broken out.
00:37:38
Speaker 2: That's interesting. I don't feel like I need that.
00:37:40
Speaker 3: You're already really scheduled, But I'm talking about for the person that maybe struggles in that regard.
00:37:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I think you have to take the kids' schedule into account and then just like when you have babies, you know, like sleep when they're sleeping, you have to do the same thing. If they're set up on their computer and they have two hours of work to do, great, go for a jog, Yeah, get your workout in then, or make dinner and put it rough. It's gonna be rough, but you know what, I'm.
00:38:09
Speaker 1: Gonna drive around the block every hours.
00:38:13

00:40:01
Speaker 1: I have no idea. I haven't looked. I've sort of been avoiding it. No matter what's published. I don't think it matters because it's pretty clear no one's.
00:40:07
Speaker 3: Getting tested right that is going to get hopefully solved next week and then you get a proper you know, X amount of people have been tested, X amount of people are positive. What is the percentage rate of people getting infected? If it's somewhere in that like one to five kind of I think, I don't know if that's the blue this was very.
00:40:24
Speaker 1: Much less than that.
00:40:25
Speaker 2: I don't know, but you hear.
00:40:27
Speaker 3: Of these cases like those guys that went on the ski tub to Italy and every single one of them got it.
00:40:33
Speaker 2: It was virulent. There you're in the valley right.
00:40:36
Speaker 1: Now, those guys are in ar Tarzan in a hospital.
00:40:38
Speaker 2: Wow.
00:40:38
Speaker 3: So I'm convinced I already had it, and there's a lot of that going around.
00:40:43
Speaker 2: I was thinking the same thing, and I so all.
00:40:47
Speaker 1: These symptoms in January for three weeks. I don't know. I got tested for the fluke it was negative.
00:40:53
Speaker 3: So I'm the same story as so many people on Twitter saying I'm convinced.
00:40:57
Speaker 1: I already had this.
00:40:58
Speaker 2: Really, I don't know if these community I don't know, like the flu, you mean like once you get the flu, you kind of had it.
00:41:04
Speaker 1: Like a you know, less susceptible to get it again.
00:41:07
Speaker 2: I have no idea. Wait, I want to go back to Oliver's swim test for a second, because I was thinking about it before before you came over, because I remember Max. We were talking to Max. But she did she sweat no. I remember they both did the swim test the first year, and then I think she dropped out right like she didn't like the group she was in. I just remember she went for a little bit I have to go. I bet I have a picture of her. But anyway, NICKI did it for a few years. But I remember the first year they did it, he didn't swim that fast and I was dying, like, oh my gosh, because they had all right, So for everyone listening, they do this junior lifeguard program here in Newport Beach, which is an amazing program. I mean, NICKI became an excellent swimmer that way and got certified and the whole thing so great program. So I remembering at the edge of the pool and screaming, go you've got it, babe, go go go ten because I hit the time on my phone and watched him. So I was so thinking about you when you texted me this morning and you're like, he's doing the swim test. I was like, is it a terrible it's for us, it's dramatic.
00:42:19
Speaker 3: It's extra traumatic today because they were following the CDC guidelines around separation, so it was this, you waited outside, they gave you a popsicle stick with.
00:42:29
Speaker 1: A number on it.
00:42:29
Speaker 2: Okay, they didn't want everyone to line up, oh because yeah, so usually you go for the swim test, you go and you line up early in the morning and the line sneaks around the high school and the whole thing exactly.
00:42:42
Speaker 1: I didn't want that.
00:42:43
Speaker 3: So they were handing out these popsicle sticks in groups, which was great because then we were sort of standing talking with her.
00:42:48
Speaker 1: I was talking to my girlfriends sort of, you know, in our own little pod, right.
00:42:53
Speaker 3: And then the kids, it's extra stressed for them because they don't know when.
00:42:56
Speaker 2: They're going to go. If you're another line, you know.
00:42:59
Speaker 1: Okay, twenty work. Okay, I need to get my.
00:43:01
Speaker 3: Head swim cap on because the minute you get to the gate, it's game on, right, you gotta go. So he was very nervous. He just was standing by himself. He didn't want to talk to me. You could tell he's just processing, right, you can watch the child process.
00:43:13
Speaker 2: He's thirteen twelve. This is little oh.
00:43:16
Speaker 1: Coco's age, so he's eight. So he's just and then he's like, mom, I have to go to the bathroom.
00:43:22
Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, they always have to go to the bathroom right when they get to the gate.
00:43:25
Speaker 1: The nervous pee. It's a nervous pee. We're up thet.
00:43:32
Speaker 3: But he had been training, and I think this is really smart on our part, but kind of happened by accident in a meter pool, so it's longer than a twenty five yard pool, right, you know, meters are longer than yards. So I had been tracking him for the last couple of weeks and he was always like eight seconds long.
00:43:49
Speaker 1: I mean, I'm like, fuck, I'm not.
00:43:50
Speaker 2: Telling him right, I'm not gonna make it.
00:43:52
Speaker 1: And I just keep telling him, you're doing great, You're doing great, keep trying. And then when he's going, he's like, mom my heart's racing him.
00:43:58
Speaker 3: Like I said, here's what you do, five cleansing breadths right before you get in the pool, and put all that energy.
00:44:05
Speaker 1: In your stroke. Go for it.
00:44:08
Speaker 3: And I said, you can hold your breath a minute in twenty five seconds, because he can hold his breath really long. And I said, the last lap, when you're like three quarters of the way, you just hold your breath, no breathing the.
00:44:18
Speaker 2: Finish, do not breathe.
00:44:22
Speaker 1: I breathe, and like, you can hold your breath, and he beat.
00:44:26
Speaker 3: You had to be one fifty five for one hundred, one hundred yards and he was one forty six.
00:44:32
Speaker 2: Okay. So the next step of that is that the way they group them with other kids. Is based on their time, well in age, right, it's age and time. So he Nikki. I remember he had friends that were really strong swimmers, and I was like, oh god, he's not going to be in a group with any of his friends. Is he gonna want to do it? Whatever? But I remember he went and did it, and he gets nervous, and I can't remember what's the first age they're allowed to do it.
00:44:57
Speaker 1: This is Oliver's first year. You have to be turning before the program start.
00:45:02
Speaker 2: And when's his birthday? Okay, so he must have been nine. Yeah, so he must have been nine, all right, So he was doing it and he gets up there, say mom, I was really nervous. It was really nervous. So finally before because you get to the gate and then they take your information and then they walk the kids to the far side of the pool. Parents signs everywhere, no no parents, and so you're literally on the other side of the pool. And before he walked away, I go, Nikki, just go kick some ass. And I would never have said ask to him at that time, now like now I'll curse whatever, but he.
00:45:37
Speaker 1: Was like no.
00:45:37
Speaker 2: He started laughing, so we totally laughed I'm like, go kick some mass, babe, and he's like laughing, and it just relaxed him and he went to the side. And then when I was looking at the number, I started like when he was on the last lap, I was like, like, he's not gonna be it. I'm like, god, God, he did he made it? Yeah.
00:45:57
Speaker 3: I felt there was one long there that clearly didn't get them, and the child was.
00:46:01
Speaker 1: Like dog paddling.
00:46:03
Speaker 2: Oh no, for those.
00:46:06
Speaker 3: People that don't understand, it is competitive, but they put hundreds of kids in the ocean, and our ocean is not like the East Coast or anything like there are waves, right.
00:46:14
Speaker 2: This isn't like you need to be superstars. This is like you can't die in the ocean.
00:46:20
Speaker 3: And there aren't enough lifeguards to be like, you know, man on man. And they are amazingly safe about how they move the groups around. But they have to be able to, of course, swim fast to get out from the swell, right, and then they have to be able to tread water for a really long time.
00:46:33
Speaker 2: Oh right, that's the second thing they do. So first they have to swim the lapse in a certain amount of time, and then they tread water for three minutes.
00:46:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, and obviously that's easy.
00:46:42
Speaker 3: And a lot of these kids, you know, were around the beach, so of course as they get older they do polo.
00:46:45
Speaker 1: And other things.
00:46:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, but for that first eight to nine year old or the nine ten year olds, it's a pretty big deal. And some kids just are like, I'm not doing guards. There's definitely the type of kid that's like absolutely not.
00:46:56
Speaker 1: Here in Newport ram right. It is a pretty strenuous program.
00:46:59
Speaker 2: So you guys live in LA, but your family has a house down here, so you're going to spend the whole summer down here.
00:47:03
Speaker 1: Yes, that's another thing I had to bring.
00:47:06
Speaker 3: I think getting the paperwork in for an LA family. We own a home, so we're fine, right, I had to bring property tax, Yeah, mortgage state a bit.
00:47:15
Speaker 1: You know, they're very strict. Oh yeah, and that's important.
00:47:19
Speaker 3: Otherwise it's an amazing program, and there's an LA program, but we're down here in the summer.
00:47:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so exciting.
00:47:24
Speaker 3: I always kind of do that, although the older too are refusing to come down, so I'm gonna have to run the house. You know, one of us will be up there and we'll kind of go back and forth.
00:47:33
Speaker 2: Oh my God, that's crazy.
00:47:35
Speaker 3: Bailey's rowing and James I think is going to row to football and he just has his friends up there.
00:47:40
Speaker 1: They'll come move down on the weekends.
00:47:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good. I like that you allow that to happen.
00:47:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's not that far.
00:47:47
Speaker 3: You know, we have a person like you have Pete, and so you can kind of make that work.
00:47:51
Speaker 1: Charlie's taking the train once. Really that's doable. We're a group, I think, and then it's doable. Kind of makes me nervous, but yeah, and then I'll have his license of July.
00:48:02
Speaker 2: That's been the best thing. People kept saying to me, like, oh, your kids are driving. Are you so scared? Yes, I mean, look take that part. Of course, I'm scared, but I'm scared if they get into the car with like their friend's parents too. Like of course, you know, you worry about everything. But but I have to say they've been so responsible and they're both good. Yeah, good driver, They really are good drivers. I'm shocked. Max was not a good driver. No, not at the beginning. Now she was veering to the right a lot. Now she's fantastic.
00:48:35
Speaker 1: My kids drive now, not like on the road, but well we're uncertain. I mean I.
00:48:41
Speaker 2: Started driving it thirty you did you, rebel?
00:48:45
Speaker 3: I actually was asking my dad. I used to be able to sit on his lap and we lived on the peninsula, so you know, from church on Sunday home was maybe two miles, okay, and it's, you know, one of the geography I'm talking about. It's a pretty easy road. No top lights, now street lights. There's one in Main Street, right. I sat on his lap and he did the pedals and I did the steering wheel and station wagon and the station wagon had like the flared front.
00:49:12
Speaker 2: Nice hot.
00:49:13
Speaker 1: Yeah. Dad just was like, line up the flare with the dotted yellow.
00:49:16
Speaker 2: Line and you'll be good, and you'll be good.
00:49:18
Speaker 1: And so I was probably eight seven.
00:49:21
Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's great. Now all right, so let me ask you a question. Would you tell the boys that story I have? Would you tell Are you comfortable telling the boys about drug use?
00:49:32
Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah. I was talking to Charlie the other day about drugs, and I.
00:49:36
Speaker 3: Said, look, the science behind it is your brain has not developed until you're twenty five. So on your twenty fifth birthday, I will buy you whatever you want.
00:49:44
Speaker 2: Really, what if you said cocaine?
00:49:47
Speaker 1: Probably not an illegal drug. But marijuana, I.
00:49:51
Speaker 2: Think I was pretty that's legal.
00:49:53
Speaker 1: Well not in certain states.
00:49:55
Speaker 2: It's pretty legal.
00:49:57
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think No, I would not bind my said.
00:50:00
Speaker 2: Cocaine, absolutely not, But I can't believe people are still doing cocaine. And shocking to me.
00:50:06
Speaker 3: I sat next to a guy Terry would probably say the same, who was a cardiac surgeon.
00:50:12
Speaker 1: He was a plumber or an electrician.
00:50:14
Speaker 2: Yep.
00:50:15
Speaker 1: But he's like, cocaine is just the ultimate killer. Yeah, he just blows up everybody's hearts.
00:50:20
Speaker 2: You can't survive that. Well, the problem is if there's a drug that one usage could kill you, you just don't take that one.
00:50:26
Speaker 1: There and the pills, though, that scares me more.
00:50:28
Speaker 3: There's this rumor in our neighborhood that there were these kids having pill parties.
00:50:33
Speaker 2: Oh, I've heard of that. I like prescription drugs, drugs.
00:50:38
Speaker 3: I want to say it's a rumor only because I'm very careful about my son.
00:50:42
Speaker 1: Wasn't there, And unless your child sees it and tells.
00:50:45
Speaker 2: You, then it's just a rumor. But it is scary. And I never thought of that before because I always think about our house because we have alcohol everywhere, and it's not locked up. I got a whole champagne wall. By the way, there'll be no shortage of champagne.
00:51:00
Speaker 1: Today. Yeah.
00:51:03
Speaker 2: Look, I think you know your kids and you know when they're I'm not worried about my kids. I'm not worried about my children. We have We're very open, we talk about this stuff. They're very good kids and smart and I trust them. But you know, they bring other kids in the house, and I do worry about that. But what the one thing I wasn't worrying about and didn't think about, was you know, people going into, you know, my medicine chest and pulling out. You know, I've told you that is half stuff, Clay.
00:51:30
Speaker 1: I have girlfriends who have had pills stolen.
00:51:33
Speaker 2: And it's crazy that it's friends.
00:51:35
Speaker 3: And now everybody's locking their master bedrooms with the like garage.
00:51:38
Speaker 1: Punch code lock.
00:51:40
Speaker 2: Really, I need that on my pantry. I have that on my closet. I need it on my pantry. You need one of those locks. Remember they used to have those things like you open the frigerator and it's like oink oink oink oink. Do you remember that?
00:51:55
Speaker 3: Speaking of locks, a girlfriend that I work with went out and ordered to remember the.
00:52:00
Speaker 1: Thing you put on your door. I don't have doorknobs like this anymore, but if you have the circle door knobs. Okay, that thing on for toddlers so they can't open the door. And it was like a plastic thing that just spun around.
00:52:09
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, the child luck thing.
00:52:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, everybody's getting those so they can stay on their conference calls this next week and not have kids barging.
00:52:17
Speaker 1: In on them.
00:52:18
Speaker 2: That's so funny.
00:52:20
Speaker 1: Child proof your house for your how.
00:52:23
Speaker 2: About how about staying sane in your marriage? Now, Terry's still going to work, but like my girlfriend Sarah told me that her husband's homework and I have had.
00:52:34
Speaker 3: So many conversations with girlfriends about this exact time.
00:52:37
Speaker 2: What do you do to not kill each other?
00:52:41
Speaker 3: I think if you have the space, whoever's going to work goes.
00:52:45
Speaker 1: In the room to work.
00:52:47
Speaker 3: Okay, hopefully you have an office or you say the bedroom, and then it really is separation. And I don't think they're allowed to just like wheel in and interrupt your day.
00:53:00
Speaker 2: They need a schedule, Your partner needs a schedule.
00:53:02
Speaker 1: And then you're gonna.
00:53:03
Speaker 3: Say lunch will be at noon, and I will expect to see you in the kitchen at noon and before that, I would not like to see you.
00:53:13
Speaker 2: I don't know. I just I find the whole thing so bizarro. Because you know there's some people all right, so like our friend's Mark and Tawny Allison Bolso the dentist office. No okay, it's like there's totally sterile. Yeah no, no, right, he's gowned, he's gloved, he's masked. I mean, you know, he should be more worried about you than you should be worried about him. No, they said, Actually they were like, we're booked. Everyone has time now to come in and get their cleanings and get their stuff fixed and whatever you need.
00:53:42
Speaker 1: To get on that. I should get everyone's see the clean Yeah.
00:53:44
Speaker 2: So yeah, I'm taking cat and cocoa tomorrow. So but here's the thing. So Mark and Tawny work together. They're married, they're home together, I mean everything together and beautifully and they they're great together. That's a very special couple. I don't think as much as I love my husband. I mean when we went to Europe together, it was great. I mean we were together two weeks. Every moment every day really had no maybe one irritated moment. Maybe, but like it was really fabulous. But I mean, I don't think I could do that three sixty five. No, I think you need a little like separation, a little long time, a little sum sum.
00:54:26
Speaker 1: Yeah. I think these girls got to pick up running.
00:54:29
Speaker 2: I got to tell you about this, going to become a runner. I was going to tell you about this fight. This is such a non sequorter, but I was going to tell you about this fight that Terry and I had. So we were but we came out of it so well on the other side, I thought I would just tell you about it. So we were in Minnesota.
00:54:46
Speaker 1: Oh, this is when you flew home early.
00:54:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why I flew home early.
00:54:50
Speaker 3: But I was curious, Okay, you seemed when you were doing that story. I was going to text Tiri you seem tiriy I think you were trying to get home to the girls.
00:55:00
Speaker 2: I was coming home to the kids. It was weird. I felt. The reason why I was tiery was all right, well, let me tell you. So we were in Minnesota for consults, right, and I really felt so weird about going with all of this going on, and it was kind of like the beginning of the end, the end of the beginning, you know, like that kind of thing. And we were at the airport. It was empty, and we're looking at tog other like are we dumbasses? Like why are we doing this? Why are we here? And we went. I was always coming home early because Milk was starting the next day and I had to be up insanely early, and I really just wanted to come home and regroup and chill and get all my notes together and you know whatever. Because originally we were going to pre tape that show, and then we decided to do it live, which was a whole different ball of wax, which.
00:55:53
Speaker 3: By the way, how you pivoted on that so quickly and pulled yourself together.
00:55:58
Speaker 1: I've watched the show, and it looks like you always.
00:56:00
Speaker 2: Thought it was going to be live, thank you. And the other thing was you're really good at live. I've been doing live for a long time and I love it. But it's just like you're saying, like it's a different mindset. And I had an IFB in my ear, which it okay, so an IFB and you see like musicians wearing these things in their ears, so that's so they can hear themselves. It's sort of like a monitor, a team can see to you. Right, So the production so you wear this thing in your ear so that they can talk to you, like, hey, thirty seconds more, wrap this up, stretch this a little bit, you know, so you get some feedback. Because when you're hosting a show, you're in the moment and you're you're.
00:56:37
Speaker 1: You don't know when you're commercial.
00:56:39
Speaker 2: No, So so we worked out beforehand. Okay, let me know, give me a one minute warning and then give me a ten second wrap up and have John the stage manager you know, do this. Blah blah. My IFB went well. First of all, I on the set of Daily Pop to introduce it, and I'm standing with Carissa and Justin and Morgan and we're talking about it, and then I realized, no one's given me an IFB. Now usually I bring my own, but I hadn't because I wanted to use their system. I just didn't want to any variables. I wanted to just like, let me use all their stuff and whatever. So I come off and during the commercial break day, I was like, hey, you know, I don't have an IFB on. They're like whoa. So they grab one, they throw it on me, they stick it in my ear test test test yeah, test test test all good. I sit down on the set. We start the show. Two minutes into it, the IP is like the Peanuts talking to me, wore and I was like, okay, I'm on my own here, so yeah, I don't think anyone noticed. And I watch it, go rewatch it. I've watched it and I hate watching myself, but I wanted to like see it so, you know, because obviously I'm a producer on the show, and I wanted to see, like, you know, what we need to shift for the next sneak peak of it and the whole thing. But I was I was pleasantly surprised, and I thought it looked great and I don't think anyone would know if I didn't tell you. And it was fun. I had the best time. But anyway, I came home early. Did you have a follow up question before I keep going? I had, So I came home early because I wanted to regroup and if I came home with Terry. The later flight got us in at ten thirty at night. It was just too late. But because I felt so weird about being in Minnesota that I was in the airport by myself, which I really. I know you travel so much by yourself, and I have traveled by myself for work and whatnot, but.
00:58:30
Speaker 1: I not usually by yourself.
00:58:32
Speaker 2: When I've gone to New York for the fashion line, I've been alone on a lot of those trips. But I don't love being by myself traveling. I really just don't. I like being with Terry, I like being with I don't mind being alone with the kids. I just like, I don't know. Some people love traveling by themselves. I don't. Although I like once I get on the plane and I have my like alone moment, I love that, but just like the getting through the airport, I don't know, I just don't love it. So anyway, so I'm in the airport and I make a little video, and I was a bit teery because I thought, now I feel weird I leave him, leaving Terry here and I'm by myself, but I want to get home to my kids and the whole thing. And I was also so like excited about doing my show, and it was like all of that. But the night before that's when we got into the fight. So the night before we went out to dinner after our show, it was like ten o'clock and we had a really fun Oh I gotta go back even further sort we were gonna have. We had a big break in the middle of Saturday. We had a show in the more three hour show in the morning at a three hour show at night, big break in the middle, and he was like sex adamn, you know, like whatever. But we got back to our room and it was like he was on the phone. He had a call with a lawyer about a case that he's the expert on, and it just didn't like, it didn't feel so like romantic. And I go, honey, maybe a little romance later he goes, I totally get it. I promised tonight romance. Blah blah blah whatever. I go. Great. So we go out to dinner and we have this really fantastic dinner and Katerina was doing a live and Instagram live. Okay, so we did that thing where you can log on with them. You're the one that taught me how to do it, cause you were going to the the.
01:00:26
Speaker 1: Billboard Award and you were telling me how to pose.
01:00:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, because you were getting an award. It was very exciting and you were going to walk the red carpet and we were doing that thing where you can both be on live. So Terry and I both did it for Kat because they had like two viewers, so we did it so they'd have like more viewers and it would be fun and whatever. So she loved it, and we're watching them, but I mean, come on, it's your thirteen year old daughter with her two friends dancing and singing like adorable, but like, you can only watch it for so long? Okay, good, So we watched it for quite a bit of time and then we get back to the hotel room. Now it's like, you know, we've had this beautiful dinner. Now it's romance time. Whatever. I go into the bathroom to get ready and whatnot, and I come out and he's still he's back watching the live Instagram thing. Okay, So any mother out there is going to understand that listening to your kid not sexy. Am I am? I wrong about that? Okay. So I'm listening to it, and I'm going, Okay, don't get annoyed, It'll end soon.
01:01:31
Speaker 1: All I wanted to do is to come out to some music.
01:01:33
Speaker 2: Anything, but he's like obsessed with it, and I'm going and you know, she's his favorite kid. So I, you know whatever. So finally I'm like, we're gonna wrap this up. And now I'm getting like irritated. I'm like, honey, come on. Finally shuts it off, but like I'm now irritated. He's pissed, and we get into like a massive blowout fight where he's like, how dare you make me stop watching my child and dum whatever, And I'm like, I just wanted romance. What is wrong with you? We already watched it. Time to move on.
01:02:11
Speaker 3: You were the thing that's most important about your position is you were clear about your intention earlier.
01:02:16
Speaker 1: In the day.
01:02:17
Speaker 2: Yes, we got into a huge fight, and then I go, oh my gosh, I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go home to go do this thing that's very important to me. I can't have this and how dare you turn this into this enormous thing when you know this is what's going on and I'm not going to let you derail me? And I took a step back and I thought, Okay, I do not believe I'm wrong in this scenario. You know, sometimes they say like sometimes it's better off peace than be right.
01:02:50
Speaker 1: Do you want to be right?
01:02:52
Speaker 2: No? I knew I was right, but he was so like off the wall. At first I went for the ride. I'm like that, I was so messed up. I'm like you, I thought we were having romance. Listening to my kid's voice is not a turn on. I can't pivot like that. You know, women just aren't we I don't even need the music.
01:03:11
Speaker 1: I don't need, but I couldn't babies crying. Even if I hear kids talking like I can't, it.
01:03:17
Speaker 2: Just doesn't put you in the mood. So so he got so mad. We got to do a huge fight about it. Basically just that. But here's the crux of the whole thing. So what happens is usually if this had happened, we would have like, you know, not spoken, gone to bed, no sex, no nothing, and like figured it out the next day. But because I was like, this is totally unfair. I have this thing and this is not what we need right now. This is not what I need right now. And okay, for some reason, we both shut up. We're quiet, and I thought, I'm lying there thinking it's you gonna fall aslep And I know this is crazy and I'm such a more sexual person than he is, but like I literally needed to have sex. Have you ever been like that? No, No, like you, I needed to have sex, not because I needed to have sex, just because like I needed to I don't know, have the release of it or you know what I mean.
01:04:17
Speaker 1: I know what you mean. I know what you mean, like reconnect post fight in that way where you know that you and here good going into this week.
01:04:27
Speaker 2: Two reasons that's number one and number two I actually mean physically, yeah, okay, yeah, you have it.
01:04:34
Speaker 1: And by the way, you've been thinking about it since.
01:04:36
Speaker 2: Lunch, right and important. And here's the other thing to note. I did not work out the day before you were all bottled up or that day because we were traveling the day before and there was no time that day. So I was like, and I have this thing to do and I needed to relax and I needed to expend some energy and I needed like a release. You understand what I'm saying. Okay, he's the one that was vibing me like today, today, today, today, I need this today. And there's all this talk. I know, we've had this like nice dinner, da da, and then the whole thing exploded. Somehow we both shut up, got it back together, and I'm going to tell you not to be TMI and I'm sorry, and I know it was like top three, I mean like really like top three. Afterwards, we're talking and he said, he looks at me, He's like, I'm sorry, and I'm thinking to myself, is he really sorry or is he just saying that? And he goes, I'm sorry, he goes, and I go, I'm sorry too, and he said and then he paused little silence, and he goes, I'm such a shitty dad. And then now you know where it all came Now I know where it all came up. And all of a sudden, I wasn't mad anymore, and I thought, Okay, well, here's what happened. We're away, he's not with them. I'm going home early the next morning because I want to spend the day with them and I want to relax.
01:05:58
Speaker 1: He's going to miss him, and then he's gonna go right into.
01:06:00
Speaker 2: Work, and he's going to go right into work, and he's taking on extra projects and extra projects, and he's not seeing anyone, and he feels like a piece of shit. And he's watching his kid on Instagram live clearly on a device, not there in person, and is having this moment, and it was all about that and had nothing to do with me.
01:06:23
Speaker 1: And that's such a good learning.
01:06:25
Speaker 3: I do wish though, and maybe this is just we're all like that that you can't get to the place where he did, which was such a bad dad, And then you were able to internalize and process what that meant. But that could have come out earlier in the night or even earlier in the day, because he clearly had been thinking about that and feeling that, probably earlier from when did you first watch her?
01:06:46
Speaker 2: No, because it was all the whole thing was that night, but it wasn't minutes, probably an hour, whatever it was.
01:06:53
Speaker 1: But you're right, he voices, Babe, this is how I'm feeling.
01:06:57
Speaker 2: He doesn't do that, though.
01:06:58
Speaker 1: I know none of them do. That's my point, none of them do.
01:07:01
Speaker 3: And then you end up at least you ended up in a position where a you were able to still connect physically and mentally.
01:07:07
Speaker 1: That you were able to sort of hash this out. He's totally can see where he's coming from.
01:07:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, but he fights mean, so he's not very nice when we fight.
01:07:15
Speaker 1: I think we all have some of those.
01:07:16
Speaker 2: Yeah of us are that, Yeah, it's true, I don't I'm I'm probably the mean fighter. You cross the line.
01:07:23
Speaker 1: You know. I don't cross the line. But I just have a really good memory for things. So I can get really evil.
01:07:29
Speaker 3: With adding in this and this and then for the record, last Tuesday, this, and I can pile up the demerits, demerits.
01:07:40
Speaker 1: No, this is like I can't win. Fuck it, I can't win. I can't win. You're always running.
01:07:46
Speaker 3: And the reality is because I he could get me pretty bad, he just doesn't because he's.
01:07:52
Speaker 1: A nice guy.
01:07:53
Speaker 2: Oh that's so funny. See, Terry, I have a very good memory. But Terry's the best argue on the planet. There's a reason he's never lost a men a legal case. That's why he's an expert for the state of California. He is the best arguer ever.
01:08:09
Speaker 1: Or is he pretty monotone?
01:08:11
Speaker 2: Through that he can get heated? No, he can, No, he can. He can get heated. Not crazy, but and he's not physical like nothing like that. But no, No, he he can get mean though he's a strong Yeah, he can get mean, but I know he doesn't mean it and it's not abusive, you know what I mean?
01:08:33
Speaker 3: You know your people like it always comes from a place where they're trying to do well, and in their own head, they disappointed themselves in some way as to how they wanted to stand up for you.
01:08:43
Speaker 1: For the kids at work.
01:08:45
Speaker 2: But this one I didn't get. Usually I can see like where it's coming from, or you could understand it. This was so out of left field, said of course. And I said to Oh, I get it. And then I said, and then we had a whole conversation about it. And I said to him, I go, you gotta stop beating yourself up. I go, you're an amazing dad. I go, look at the life you provide these children. And I said, And it's okay that you're not the coach the baseball dad. Honey, yeah, what no one said you have to be that guy. Guess what you know, God forbid something happened to you yesterday. They would remember that you were funny, that you loved them, that you were easy going, and that you gave them everything.
01:09:25
Speaker 1: And he is a home body. When he's here, he's here.
01:09:28
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but he's not sit on the floor and play the games. It's okay, door around with them. I've seen totally. Oh no, he's better. Go you're your own person. You're your own style of dad, and you can't beat yourself up for not being that other thing. But you know, anyway, the whole reason I told the story is because I was so proud of two things. I was proud that we actually, like from getting into a blow out fight to having sex. That's not us. We're not those people that never happens for us. So it was kind of glad that we were able to truncate the whole fighting thing.
01:10:05
Speaker 1: Do you think it would have happened if.
01:10:06
Speaker 2: You weren't in a hotel, if we would have fought, If.
01:10:11
Speaker 1: The same thing would have happened but.
01:10:13
Speaker 2: You were in your own we would have not spoken. We were quarantined together.
01:10:18
Speaker 3: I think so many times when we fought on a vacation and we fought, and then we're in a hotel and I love hotel sex.
01:10:24
Speaker 2: Yeah me too, Yeah yeah right.
01:10:26
Speaker 3: So I don't know if you would have had the same outcome if you were at home with the same time.
01:10:30
Speaker 2: I totally agree. So we were lucky we were there. So that was good.
01:10:34
Speaker 1: Cheers to the Minneapolis.
01:10:35
Speaker 2: Thank you. Yeah, we're to the JW. Marriott, thanks so much. And and but I think it's good for the future. I learned something huge, Like, Okay, I'm not okay with this, but why that's so weird? Let me think about this for a second before I go nuts. Let me just figure out what's going on here.
01:10:56
Speaker 3: I always had that fantasy where you have an extra room in your house that's like made up, like all bedroom.
01:11:01
Speaker 2: Oh so even if you're fighting.
01:11:03
Speaker 1: Or something's not right, it's like, meet me in room three or four.
01:11:11
Speaker 2: I think the reason why hotel sex is so good is because you're away from your kids, you're sick kids.
01:11:17
Speaker 1: You don't have to.
01:11:20
Speaker 3: You can throw anything around, and you know, I don't know, it's always a king.
01:11:23
Speaker 1: I mean I am a king, but I'm sure a lot of people don't.
01:11:25
Speaker 2: Right. But it's like it's not your sheets, which is kind of gross if you really think about it, but you know, it's like exactly, you don't really have to clean up nothing.
01:11:33
Speaker 1: So that's my fantasy.
01:11:35
Speaker 2: All right, you need room three or four that's kind of like fifty shades of gray, the toys in there.
01:11:41
Speaker 3: Maybe there's different sheets in there, Like you don't have all the pillows, Like my husband hates all our pillows.
01:11:46
Speaker 2: He does, Oh my god.
01:11:48
Speaker 1: He's like there there's forty seven too many pillows on our bed.
01:11:52
Speaker 2: Well it's too but I have we do a turndown service in our house. Is all right, this is very bougie. I know we're so spoiled. So someone turned down our bed at four o'clock.
01:12:03
Speaker 1: That's so nice, I actually me. I mean Maria would laugh at me if I told her to do that.
01:12:08
Speaker 3: She'd be like, great, well, I'm rinsing out baseball pants and making dinner.
01:12:11
Speaker 1: I'll just be sure to turn your bed down. But I think that's pretty awesome.
01:12:17
Speaker 2: It's pretty cool.
01:12:18
Speaker 1: I mean, it's so different than in our house.
01:12:21
Speaker 3: All the floors get clean at five o'clock every night after everyone's eaten.
01:12:25
Speaker 1: Like it's just one more thing on the list, right, so mind would get what you want.
01:12:29
Speaker 2: I can't remember why it started, but I feel like we have a friend who had that done and Terry told me about it.
01:12:36
Speaker 1: And the lines are closed.
01:12:37
Speaker 2: Yeah everything, yeah, everything's done. We have fans because we love fans. So with the fans are out, the bed the bed is like open, it's still made, but like all the pretty pillows are gone and the thing is turned down and everything with a.
01:12:50
Speaker 3: Way to blanket friends still this bend, so there was like so much weight on the bed, asked Oliver.
01:12:55
Speaker 1: He got in trouble the other day Instagram about this and like you need to go make all the beds. I knew it was gonna be disaster.
01:13:00
Speaker 2: I thought he did a good job.
01:13:02
Speaker 1: It was not a good job. But he's like, mom, there's like forty pounds.
01:13:07
Speaker 2: Boorn. Guy, Oh my god, that's so funny. But I always try to do things, you know, art, because I don't cook. And I know that sounds so like you know, one percent or problems, which I understand, the turning of the bed down and whatever, but I don't cook. But I provide all kinds of other services just to make Terry's life like as fabulous as it can be because he does work so incredibly hard and when he comes home, I want him to just feel like a king. And so that's why, like if I can have turndown service done or like it's you know, on the weekends, if we don't have we don't have someone like I always refold all the towels and clean up on his sink. And he thinks there's a bathroom ferry that comes and that's fine.
01:13:46
Speaker 1: Like that I hope you appreciates too.
01:13:48
Speaker 2: I think he does.
01:13:49
Speaker 1: He does, but you really do go out of your way, like.
01:13:52
Speaker 2: I always do a pack for him, like anything.
01:13:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, please stop sharing this.
01:13:59
Speaker 2: I do because you know what that's like. You know, when you're with someone, it's like you do these things for him. He does things for me.
01:14:06
Speaker 1: The safety nuts around you to get other things done. So it's not like you're.
01:14:10
Speaker 3: You know, popping the floors and doing that and you think the things that are special.
01:14:14
Speaker 2: But listen, and having said that, there was a day when you didn't know when I when I didn't have that kind of staff and I didn't have those people, and I cleaned the floors and I cooked, and I went to the grocery store and I did all that stuff. I'm lucky. I don't have to do those things now. I am very grateful for all those things. And I don't apologize for having any of that stuff. And I don't you.
01:14:34
Speaker 3: Think you should apologize for only being able to make the podcasts?
01:14:37
Speaker 2: Can you just just want I'm sure I could make but do you know I make monkey bread?
01:14:42
Speaker 1: I did see that.
01:14:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go. The salami out of that's and tacos. I do I do tacos. I have served them yet them I have for the family, by the way, I did used to cook. I would make bacon wrap filets, I would make chicken, I would make tacos.
01:15:00
Speaker 1: The scope of it is so significant, we're just gonna.
01:15:02
Speaker 2: Not do it. There's just so many people in this house, and they're so picking these two vegetarians, and this one's dairy free and that. It's just there's a lot of people. And I'll tell you this other thing. I don't enjoy it. I love cooking equipment, I love cooking shows. I love Yeah, I love cooking. I love I just don't like cooking. Does that make sense what I'm saying. So I love the whole process and everything.
01:15:27
Speaker 1: I love cooking. I hate cleaning up.
01:15:30
Speaker 2: I don't mind cleaning. I'll clean it will be a good all right, So you're gonna come back. You're gonna cook your venison stew. We'll tell the kids it's vegetarian.
01:15:39
Speaker 1: I'll make something for Max. I can do a really good feeding curry that she love.
01:15:44
Speaker 2: By the way, Terry loves curry.
01:15:46
Speaker 1: I love curry.
01:15:46
Speaker 3: I make a lot of great curries, really, and that is so easy.
01:15:52
Speaker 2: Okay, fabulous. I'm so glad you were here. I love you worked this totally worked out you guys. Thank you so much for listening. I hope you had a little fun hanging out with us today and come back tomorrow. Hey listen. By the way, also, thank you so much for going to iTunes and leaving the five star reviews. 01:16:18
Speaker 1: Oh, I know I have you know Aaron Napier. I don't know if that's how you say her name. No, that show called I Wish. They're in Alabama.
01:16:27
Speaker 3: It's like a fixer rappers show, Okay, her and her husband, and she is on Instagram specifically talking about trolls and just blocking people like crazy.
01:16:36
Speaker 1: She's an on an HGTV show so cute, and people have been trolling her.
01:16:40
Speaker 3: And saying mean things, and she went publicly and was like, I'm putting us stop to it.
01:16:44
Speaker 1: And she's been unfollowing at huge rates. She doesn't care what her numbers look like.
01:16:50
Speaker 2: I think that's great. I think that's fantastic. I really don't get that much on social media. But on the podcast there are some trolls and people create other accounts and they go on there and do that, and you know what, I'm just over it. Yeah, and you should be, so no more trolls. And by the way, people, if you don't like something, don't watch it, don't listen to it. It's okay.
01:17:15
Speaker 1: I just like you follow someone and then you want to say things.
01:17:19
Speaker 2: Well we all know that's an issue with them. But let's just all be love and light and positivity and and like promote each other. And especially during these times when everyone is going to be on social media right now because there's nothing else to do, let put good out there. Share your recipes, so maybe I'll try something. People have been sharing recipes.
01:17:39
Speaker 3: With cat oh good, So we need here's what we need. We need recipes, Okay, fun games to do at home?
01:17:45
Speaker 2: Yep.
01:17:46
Speaker 1: Elizabeth, thanks and bringing her up again. She can post a home scavenger hunt that she made up.
01:17:51
Speaker 2: Okay, Clari, Okay, I want to see that.
01:17:53
Speaker 3: Find a picture of you and your mom and then find one trisk it.
01:18:00
Speaker 2: You know, that's very funny. What so far? I think that's it. And if anyone runs stuff for milk, yeah, you know, I've been asking people. So if you go to our Instagram site, which I'm looking up because I keep saying it wrong.

Speaker 1: I'm trying to be funny this week.
01:19:10
Speaker 2: You're always funny. Tell everyone your Instagram.
01:19:12
Speaker 1: I'm el Glitzy. I know it's l G L I t z y and it was my original Aol instant messenger name. So funny ram came out, I grabbed it. I don't know why I didn't grab Lize wait now, which by the way, I now have, but I don't know how to pour it over.
01:19:29
Speaker 2: That is so funny. Oh and on the last note, I'm locked out of my TikTok account. My verified account was musically became TikTok and I'm locked out. I don't know. So if someone is out there with TikTok, I've messaged them, I've tweeted to them. Can some No, no one's posting on it because it's my account, but I'm saying like I can't get into it.

01:15:52

01:16:27

It's okay.
01:17:15
