ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Poet and Quippy Choice Award recipient Alex Price joins Quibble Lit editor Garrett Souliere on Author Up for a conversation about her writing and the experiences behind it.
From her background in journalism and book criticism to teaching creative writing and working on a farm, Alex’s life has brought her into many different relationships with language. Her literary work includes reviews for The Economist, The TLS, and The Observer, alongside mentoring young offenders through poetry and creative writing.
We meet the writer behind “it seems the whole world,” her Quippy Choice Award poem published by Quibble Lit, and introduce listeners to a growing body of work that moves between parenthood, grief, desire, and everyday encounters, with sharp imagery, humor, and tenderness.
This conversation is for anyone curious about how life finds its way to inform our creative voices, and what can happen when we take risks and let ourselves experiment.

Author UP is Quibble Lit’s Indie Lit Podcast, with free episodes releasing weekly on Sundays.
Built for writers seeking community and the people of indie publishing, each week, host and Quibble Lit EIC Garrett Souliere interviews a literary friend (authors, editors, & publishers) to learn more about their work, their way with words, and to meet the people behind the pages.
Together, we uncover a wide range of wisdom and paths that all support one common cause: to understand and honor the importance of writing in our lives, and to demystify parts of its process.
