ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Mistress Catalina St. James, The Regal Sadist, joins Jon, aka HiThereCatsuit, for a conversation about making the leap from corporate success to a life built around authenticity, creativity, connection, and BDSM.
With a decade of marketing experience working with Disney, FX Networks, and Apple, Catalina brings a unique perspective to branding and digital strategy. She explains how skills from her business career — particularly communication, marketing, active listening, and strategic thinking — have become essential parts of her work as a dominatrix and consultant.
We also explore the unexpected relationship between improv and BDSM: listening closely, responding in the moment, embracing uncertainty, and being willing to jump into the unknown.
Catalina shares her thoughts on building a digital persona without losing your authentic self, the importance of voice and tone, and why vulnerability can be a source of strength rather than weakness.
As AI and digital media continue to change how creators present themselves online, Catalina makes the case for something technology can't easily manufacture: genuine human connection.
She'll also be teaching Beyond the Bio: Strategic Marketing for the Modern Dominatrix at DomCon New Orleans on September 30.
