ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Former professional rugby league player Keegan Hipgrave joins Tommy Talks for a powerful conversation about life after sport, mental health, and redefining success.
Host of the podcast Keegan and Company, Keegan opens up about the moment that scared him most, retiring from professional sport at just 24, and the challenges athletes face when their identity is so closely tied to the game. He shares how losing sport can leave many searching for purpose, and why vulnerability and open conversations are so important.
Keegan also discusses why athletes often struggle to ask for help, the influence athletes can have by speaking openly about their mental health, and his new challenge, the Major Marathon Project, where he aims to run all seven World Marathon Majors.
