ABOUT THIS EPISODE
There are often two reasons people don’t pray. Either we don’t believe that God hears or we don’t believe that God acts. Or, too often, we approach prayer as either materialists or magicians, thinking that there is nothing other than cause and effect on earth, or that if we can just get the right words or muster up enough faith then God has to do whatever we want. None of these are accurate pictures of prayer. Listen as Pastor Luke Herche preaches from Revelation chapter 8, showing that, despite what we tend to believe, in Jesus your prayers are pleasing in heaven, and your prayers are powerful on earth.

It is instructive that the book of Psalms ends in praise. Everything that we do together on Sunday mornings and throughout the week ought to be for the praise of God, to glorify him, to delight in his goodness as our creator and our redeemer.
