Simms Complete | Belichick Snubbed?! Stafford’s MVP Case & the Giants’ OC Search

Phil and Matt Simms open the episode by discussing the Giants’ offseason uncertainty after losing out on Todd Monken, breaking down what John Harbaugh should prioritize in finding the right offensive coordinator for quarterback Jaxson Dart. The conversation then shifts to the NFL Hall of Fame, with Phil delivering a passionate critique of Bill Belichick not being a first-ballot inductee, calling it a failure of the voting system and questioning the credibility of the process.

The second half of the show focuses on the NFL awards, with the Simms giving their own picks for Coach of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, & MVP. Phil strongly argues that Matthew Stafford deserves MVP, while also pushing back against the league’s quarterback-heavy award culture and advocating for greater recognition of defensive stars like Myles Garrett. The episode wraps with a broader discussion about how awards should evolve to better reflect football as a true team sport rather than a quarterback-only competition.
