ABOUT THIS EPISODE
One of the biggest challenges when trying to reconnect with God is the inner voice and taking on too much!
I don't know about you, but I am overly critical when it comes to myself. My thought process before was "If I can't do it perfectly, then I won't do it at all!"
I didn't get much accomplished as I'm sure you can imagine.
This thought process caused me to distance myself from God because I felt that, if I couldn't say an honest heartfelt prayer or praise God as professional church leaders do then I won't do it at all.
Thankfully, I have been shown the errors of those thoughts and have changed. But a lot of time had been lost.
God doesn't expect us to be perfect or to be great scholars. He expects us to put in honest efforts and to do what we are capable of doing. He knows what we are capable of doing. He created us!
Keep it simple
Keep it heartfelt
and most of all... Keep it going!
