ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Intro:
When we talk about the humiliation of Christ - that starts with Him coming in the flesh - with His birth. And that humiliation continues through His time in the grave.
At the resurrection - that marks the start to what theologians refer to as Christ’s exaltation - and we see Christ - now - in His glory.
Of course, we got a brief glimpse of Jesus’ glory back at the Transfiguration - but with the resurrection Jesus shows that He has indeed defeated sin and death - that resurrection was not just for Him but for all believers, too.
Today - I was planning to complete the second stanza of the Apostles’ Creed - and then my word count kept growing - so we’re calling an audible - we’re going to tackle just the next line in the AC - wherein it is stated that Jesus ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
Key points:
- On the ascension
- At the right hand of God
