brandon: And welcome into two guys down 200 pounds. I'm Brian. I'm Brandon. And I gotta jump right into something, Brandon. I I didn't even tell you about this last week, but in my football group chat, I had a dad send a message that said his wife's potato soup was just like My mama's meatloaf or my mom's mac and cheese. Okay. Tell him to bring it to the table, man. So I sent a gift. I said, prove it. Yeah. Okay. So little old Eli comes running up to the field on Tuesday night with a bowl of potato soup. Okay. So I told him that Told Eli he was asking me about it today, matter of fact, but he asked me about it last week as well on Thursday. His dad asked me about it. Said when when were we gonna know? I said, Well, you gotta listen to the podcast and I'll give my review on the one that drops on Tuesday. So here we are. So since then, I mean, first of all, how many potato soups have you had? I d I so that was that was the first thing. So I don't have a lot to go after. But I did I don't know what day it was, Thursday or Friday something. work got Panera or Nukes. I don't remember what it was. They had potato soup. I had already had his wife's potato soup on Tuesday, so I said, you know what, I'm gonna try this because I don't eat a lot of loaded potato soup. I'm gonna try it. her potato soup was better than Nuke's potato soup. I I don't know if it's loaded potato soup or just potato soup. I don't know what it is, but I would bet I haven't had a lot, but hers was really, really good. Had bacon in it. I would when she cooks it again, I'd I'd like to say, hey, give me a bowl, give Brandon a bowl. Let's try it together. and then we but I will say this. I haven't had a lot of potato soup, but it's probably one of the better ones that I've had, if not the best I've had, because I haven't had a lot. But it was really, really, really good. It was hot. It was still hot. Still hot. Still hot. I even gave Jeff a bite. one of the one of the other football coaches. I gave him a bite. he liked it too. but it was really good. And it was it wasn't even like I think some of the potato soups that I've had in the past. The potatoes kind of get like mushed and they're not really big chunky potatoes. And hers were still kind of whole. They weren't like beat down and and mush. It was good potato soup. There was bacon in there. It was good. It was very, very good. So I I definitely give a little shout out there. Shout out to the potato souper. To the potato soup. but hey, yeah, if hey, anybody wants You me and Brandon to give something a try here. We have no problem of, you know. We still got big back since we we we can still give you a try and see what we think. But I would I would definitely say the potato soup was up there. I would take another bowl tomorrow, right now. Doesn't matter to me. I'd take another bowl. Okay. So we'll roll right into that. with you know, our episode here. And because there is a little difference. I think people think that you know. Here we've lost hundred pounds each at minimum. so are we actually healthy or are we just skinnier? So I kind of hard for me because I think that they kind of work both, right? Yeah. Are we skinnier? Yeah, absolutely. Right? Are we healthier? I think so too. But I think both kind of go hand in hand. I think that you can get skinnier and not be healthy, which goes back to in my opinion, last week, right? We talked about the shot cheating. Yeah. Right. You can take the shot and not lose and I'm sorry. And lose weight. And maybe you're getting healthier or I I would just say you're getting skinnier, but you're not doing anything else. Right. Where I think me and Brandon have kind of, you know, obviously we're on the shot. But we're also working out, right? Yeah. So I think it's healthier and skinnier. I think it's kind of the best of of both worlds. So I guess I guess Brandon, I'll ask you just are you healthier or are you just skinnier? What do you think? No, I'm healthier because I I I believe I took all the right all I did all the right things. Like I've gone to the gym, I've run, I worked out, I've you know, done things I never even thought I could do. I didn't just lose the weight and got skinny. I actually went out there and and ran and, you know, di did everything that to help you get healthier. Yeah. 'Cause yeah, I yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean you are skinnier, right? You're a skinnier version of yourself, but you're running, you're doing these races, you know, the the Spartan race or the mud races, whatever you're doing, but so you're skinnier, but Your heart is also healthier, right? You're not on the blood pressure medicine. You're not, you know, doing type two diagnostics. Yeah, any kind of yeah, you're not doing any of that. So you are healthier. Yeah. and I I would say the same thing. You know, for me, I I don't I I don't like running, never have liked running. Brandon's gotten into the running game. I haven't. but I still I mean, there's still things that I do. matter of fact, yesterday we were hunting. Walking through the woods and you know, Tate was like, Dad, why are you going so fast? Well a hundred and twenty pounds ago, I wouldn't have been able to go that fast. I don't know what fast is, but I'm just saying walking up the hills, walking up the ridges, you know, I'm not out of breath like I was, right? So that tells me that my heart is healthier, right? I'm able to go a longer way. I can walk and And do what I want to do back there because the woods aren't easy to walk through. You know you've been in the woods. they're not, you know, easy to do, but I can do it without, you know, telling Tate, hey, you know, I need a break here for a second. Give me a or or or like we talked in a few, you know, taking a yawn, doing a yawn, stopping at the top of the hill, whatever. Like, hold on, Tate, give me a second. Ain't none that. so Lost all this weight, right? Me and you both. But what actually makes someone healthy? Right? So if if if you know, because you you cannot lose this weight and still get healthier. But what I mean, what do you think? You know, it I mean I makes you healthy. I I still you gotta get out and exercise. I mean you can't just eat to get skinny. I think you I mean to really get healthy, I mean you can be skinny, like we said, but I honestly think that you know, you you gotta get out there and move. whether it's walking, fast walking, jogging, sprints, whatever. Yeah. You gotta be doing something. Yeah, I mean because I I would say I know skinny people who aren't who can't walk up a hill or who can't do this without getting out of breath, because just because you're a hundred and whatever, fifty w whatever you are, eighty five, just because you're a hundred and eighty five pounds and brain's too thirty or two forty, whatever he is, and I'm whatever I am, three forty. Me and Brennan are out there working. We're running. We're we're on the elliptical. We're on the the treadmill, whatever we're doing, getting our heart healthy. And heart health is a big deal. Yeah, and I mean that goes that's going back to like what me and Brian was saying before all this is like honestly I already forgot what I was gonna say. But besides the fact you just gotta get moving, like you me now I know what I was gonna say. Me and Brian have both said that we're we're probably in the best shapes of our lives right now. You ask a guy who ain't done nothing in a couple of years who weighs a one fifty, he could be in the worst shape of his life. And that's cause he's not that healthy. Yeah. Yeah, and I don't even look at it I I don't look at it you know, whether you're one eighty five or two forty or or three forty, whatever it is, I just know that if I can walk and I can do whatever I want to do and not be super out of breath, but then you take somebody who is and maybe they they don't work out, you know, they're they will be out of breath. Even just because you're a hundred and eighty pounds doesn't mean you're super healthy. You're just skinny. There's a difference in my eyes of being skinny and healthy. Yeah, I agree. but can trying to be I and I I can talk on this a little bit because I I feel like I'm on the edge, but can trying to be healthy become unhealthy? I I think so because you start getting so caught up in just trying to track everything or or making sure, you know, you're eating the right amount or running the, you know, whatever you need to run. I think, yeah, I think eventually it gets unhealthy for you. Yeah. I I And I have a problem with eating. Okay, so my whole life, all I've ever done is eat, eat, eat. Yeah. Eat, eat, eat, more eat. You know, I'm done after dinner, want an ice cream, hour later, want another chicken wing, whatever it is, right? But now I've slowed down, I've lost a lot of weight, and I'm not eating enough. Yeah. I'm not eating enough. And it's it's probably honest to God, Brandon, it's probably unhealthy. the amount I eat. I don't eat enough. Lauren tells me I don't eat enough. I know I don't eat enough, but I just it's one of those things we talked about. It's a mental. It's all in your brain, right? Like I feel like the more I put no matter what it is, if it's broccoli, if it's chicken wings, if it's mac and cheese, the more I put in my mouth, the more weight I'm gonna gain. I'm just like that's just locked in. Yeah. Yeah. It's locked in my brain. So I've gotten this tried to break it. I've tried to and it's getting better, but I don't eat breakfast. A lot of the times I don't eat lunch. I typically only eat dinner, but I'm trying to eat lunch. I haven't got on the breakfast game yet. But I I feel like I'm at a point where it's almost getting to the unhealthy point. and I think like I said, Lauren would agree But I just need to eat more. And it doesn't have to be I'm not talking McDonald's more. I'm not talking Burger King more. Like adding a breakfast or a lunch in. Yeah. A couple eggs or lunch. You know, I've been eating a lot of tuna for lunch, but just eating more because at some point I feel like my body kind of shuts down. Yeah. Because I've been kind of plateauing the last few weeks and I think it's because I just don't eat. And when I don't lose weight. You know, my my mind, when I don't when I get on the scale and I don't lose weight, I think I've ate too much. Yeah. And I haven't ate too much because I don't eat a lot. But health after losing a hundred pounds. So if you could go back a hundred pounds ago, where do you think you are now versus then things you could do then, you know, couldn't do then that you can do now? Running, jumping. Yeah. I mean you name it. I mean you're running faster. exercise in the gym. I mean everything. Yeah. I mean, you just I mean anything you think of. Life in general. Yeah. But I mean, everything you do. It's it's it's weird because people who haven't ever been big or been as big as me and you, right? Because we were on we were very, very big people. it it's stuff as simple as tying your shoe. Yeah. Right? You can bend over and tie your shoe without losing your breath. you can you can put your socks on, right? Y you know, without losing your breath. Same thing as tying your shoes, but you can do all the little things because everybody just everybody goes to running or walking or doing the the the the exercise things, but it's other things that us big, you know, fat people do on a daily basis that we lose our breath, you know, that that now we can do no problem. Yeah. And I Something as simple as tying my shoes, right? I've talked about it in previous episodes. I used to have Lauren tie my shoe. Embarrassing, but yeah. Yeah. Maybe embarrassing, but I can tie my shoe. I've never asked my wife to tie my shoe, by the way. Well, you probably should, Bran. It's it's almost like it's almost like getting I don't lose my breath now, so I ain't got no reason. But almost like, you know, getting a massage, right? Like you don't you don't massage your own arm. No, but tying my shoe isn't Like getting a massage. I mean it's just somebody's doing something for you. so and and we kind of talked about it already a little bit. you know, experiences, you know, just energy. Like, do you think 100 pounds ago come now energy wise? you know, going to doctor's visits, you know, things like that are are or you know. Anxiety is not up going to the doctor right when you're I when you're healthy, you ain't gotta hear them say, Yeah, I think you need to lose some weight. Yeah. Or, you know, now now when you go you actually hear, you're doing a good job with your weight. Yeah. Yeah. I mean that every time I went to the doctor, which wasn't a lot, you know, when I was super big, but because I knew when I went to the doctor, they may say, because I've You said it last week or the week before. I've never really had a problem with blood pressure. Yeah. Never had a problem with diabetes. But they always say you need to lose weight. Can I refer you to the, you know, the weight loss clinic at Wellstar, whatever it is. Right. So I don't really have to now, don't get me wrong. I go to the doctor, they still say keep losing weight, but now it's like, man, you done lost 120, 130, 140 pounds. A lot better. But energy is another thing that I don't I think's a little underrated in my opinion because when you're big and you're fat, you don't realize it until you lose the weight. Yeah. But you think you're good to go, but then you always want to sit on the couch. You always want to just do this, do this, and then and then when you lose the weight You want to do more. Yeah, you want to go. You want to get up and move and it's not that big deal. Same thing with going to the gym. When I first started in the gym, I was doing 45 minutes, but the more energy I got, the longer I was there. Yeah. Yeah. And it may it's not as it's not you get more healthier, it's not as as hard. You're able to go longer. But yeah, so we spent we spent all these years, Brendan, thinking if we could, you know, just lose the weight, we'd finally be healthy. But now that we've done it. Right. And not that we're done. We're not done. I don't wanna act tell people that we're done, but now that we've lost the weight that we've done, is being healthy really that simple? Nah, I not at all. I mean, you put in a lot of work, I mean, between working out and eating. I mean that it's not easy. It sounds easy, but it's not easy. I mean, staying consistent week in and week out is i it's not easy. And we've said it before, right? Consistency is the key. Right. You don't you can't just do it for a week and give up and then get back on it. Blah blah blah. You gotta be consistent. And being consistent does doesn't always mean that, you know, it's seven days a week. You know, maybe this week it's five days. Yeah. Maybe next week it's six days. Maybe the next week, you know, you mess around, you you're on vacation and it's two days. Yeah. You know, it doesn't just keep, you know, keep it going. and you know, that's that's All I try to do, I'm not gonna sit here and act like, you know, honestly, the last three weeks, four weeks for me hadn't been in the gym the best week, you know, with vacation and and work. It hadn't been the best gym days for me. I was gonna, you know, rock and roll. Here we go, chasing Mondays again, right? I was gonna rock and roll. Lifted up a wire roll at work and tweaked my back. I was like, man, I better roll my back, you know. Thought I may sit this one out. I'm gonna try to get back at it tomorrow in the gym, but I just you know, trying to just stay at it, right? Brandon, you know Brandon's doing his whole thing. He's out there getting steps though. Yeah, I'm still trying to get mine. Get it in, get it, you know, get it when you can get it. Went to the gym a few times, got a few steps to keep hitting the neighborhood walking for about two point five miles. So yeah, we still getting it. Yeah, and it's not, you know, no matter you know. And and and brain is a testament, right? No matter what you're going through or what I'm going through, right? We can still get out and walk. It ain't gotta be something, you know, it's just a little something. Do do something. but let's go ahead. You know, that was a kind of a a a quicker, a quicker little part. Let's let's let's jump in the overrated, underrated, Brandon. Yeah, so overrated, underrated is brought to you by Power Washing Chris. Give me a call for all your pressure washing needs. He also has Facebook. of power washing by Chris. you can also get him a call at six seven eight six five six five six five and take care of your house, driveway, sidewalks, fences, porches, gutters, whatever you need pair pressure washing, he will take care of it. First first question of the day. Five second rule after the food hits the ground. Yeah, I I mean I'm gonna say underrated, Brandon, because I I don't five seconds, ten seconds, fifteen seconds. Wait, may maybe underrated is the wrong. Overrated, because it doesn't matter if it's five, ten, fifteen seconds. If if there's something if I drop something on the ground and I still want it, I'm gonna pick it up and eat it, right? So I'm gonna say overrated. I'll I'll I can take it. I mean I was gonna say underrated because it all depends on where it's falling. I could see that. If it's at my house, I I give it the five second rule. You you get me anywhere else at a restaurant and a bunch of people are walking around, ain't happen. next one, sliding mitt for baseball. And and it doesn't have to be baseball, right? It can be softball as well. But I I'm gonna say overrated. sliding mitts. you know, you see the pros do it, right? Ronald Acunia, Ozzy Albys, you know, dudes who actually steal bases, maybe they need a sliding mitt. Okay, but when you're, you know, Tate, for example, my son Tate. He wants a sliding mitt. He ain't a stealer. You don't even slide head first. So you don't if you don't slide head first, you don't need a sliding mitt. Kids wear a sliding mitt solely to be cool. So it's overrated. Keep the sliding mitts in the bag. Yeah, I I was I got caught up reading something and I read that the sliding mitt gives you like a extra like few inches or something. So for me it's underrated because I'm I'm gonna take I'm gonna take those few extra inches. Not saying I'm gonna be the one stealing or whatever, but I mean if your fastest guy is getting the extra few inches, dude, you gotta take the mid underrated. Yeah. Few inches never hurt nobody, really. Yeah. I'm not gonna say what I wanted to say on that. But Jimmy Johns. All right. So Jimmy Johns for me is underrated. Now, are they my favorite sandwich shop? No. But I do like Jimmy Johns. It's quick. Their sandwiches are pretty dang good. You know, like I guess quick is the good word there, because they get you in and out. I like a Jimmy. I think they're underrated. I know a lot of people who don't like but I like Jimmy. I'ma say underrated. Jimmy Johns is overrated. we just had a shop open up by the house. I was like, man, let me just give one more chance. And I went in there and ordered, I don't even remember it was some type of club and it was Awful. I'm not a person to warm sandwiches like that either. And mine was warm and I it was awful. I take me to Jersey Mike's or pub pub subs. Bring in lunch from home to work. So I I That's a hard one because I really don't mind I don't you know people don't understand my love for tuna. I really, really love tuna with a couple boiled eggs in there. but every once in a while, you know, going out to eat is fine at lunch, but for the most part I'm gonna say bringing lunch is underrated because I I believe, at least in my case, I can I can bring good food from home. and eat at work. The problem is a lot of people at work wanna eat out. So that's hard to break. But I'm gonna say underrated 'cause I I like what I bring home or bring to work from home and I think it's really good. So I'm gonna say underrated. I mean defin definitely underrated if you're trying to save money, but usually it's just a sandwich for me. So I'd say overrated 'cause I'd rather go out and get something good. There's a few things that I could bring from home that that would make it taste good, but I mean I'd much rather go out for lunch any day of the week. Yeah, but in your like in your line of work, right, you're out in the field. So going out for lunch for you is probably just what, McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Zaxpees. Yeah. So I I don't know, I just kinda get a little over that. you know, so that's why I just say Right. Deleting social media. Man, I think this is so overrated. Look, yeah, I I know people who delete their social media and then they'll be off of it for a week and then they come back and they get on and they check out what people are doing for two days and then they delete it. Like if you're gonna get back on just stay on. Just stay on. It's it it's overrated. If you're if you're it if you're off, you're off. If you want to come back, then don't ever delete it. Yeah. I mean that's my thing is I mean if you're gonna delete it, just get off. Yeah. Don't be coming back and back on, back off, back on, back off. Yeah. I think it's stupid. Either you're on it or you're not. If you wanna know what people are doing, stay on it. Cause I mean everybody's on Facebook or whatever social media to see what everybody else is doing. So Yep. Next one is going to bed before nine PM. Man, I I I'd love to be in bed. I used to I used to would always stay up midnight, whatever, a little later. I'm gonna say it's underrated, but unfortunately I still don't go to bed by nine. It's I may go to bed earlier than I used to. If you'd have told me like ten or eleven, I'd definitely say, you know, underrated 'cause I would like to. I still say underrated 'cause I I would go to bed at eight thirty if I could. Yeah, I mean before kids, before me and Nat had kids, we'd be in bed before nine o'clock and man, it was nice. But now after kids I I couldn't tell you last time I've been in bed before nine o'clock, to be honest. Unless I was sick or something. Yeah. Plus sports. Yeah. Practice don't get over 'til eight thirty, you know. So but yeah, I'm I'm all about an early bedtime. Yeah. Next one is is Can only use your home bathroom. Yeah, I this is so underrated for me. people who know me, I don't like to go to the bathroom unless it's unless it's my house. It doesn't matter if I'm on vacation, doesn't matter if I go h to the hunting property for a week. I don't use the bathroom. And obviously when we're talking about the bathroom it's not peeing 'cause I can pee anywhere. Yeah. But when I gotta go to the bathroom I wanna be at home. I don't wanna be at Waffle House. I don't wanna be at Target. I don't wanna be at Walmart. I don't wanna be anywhere. I don't even wanna be at Brandon's house. I wanna be at home. So going to the bathroom at home is underrated. I gotta be at home. Yeah, I mean that's the same for me. Like Walmart, Target. I mean unless I absolutely have to go, yeah, but I mean, ain't nothing better than my own pot at the house. Gotta be at home, man. Gotta be at home. Gotta be. yelling at your TV during games. Yeah, and obviously, you know, Georgia Bama just played this past weekend. I know it doesn't work. I know yelling at the TV don't they can't hear us, right? But I still do it. Yeah. It's underrated. Maybe they do hear me, Brandon. I don't know. I feel like they hear me. They don't, but I mean I I still yell at T V all the time too. So I really can't speak on much on that. So I think it's underrated. Yell all you want. Mm-hmm. It don't matter. Brian's probably more familiar with this than me. Maybe when I go to high school football games stuff, I'll hear this stuff. But parents coaching from the stands. Yeah, I don't I d I mean obviously overrated. The easy answer is overrated. And it and it's not so much travel ball, because obviously that's what I coach. and it hadn't been so much in football, but definitely rec baseball, a lot of the rec sports, like I I'm taking my time to I'm not getting paid. No, I'm not getting paid to be a coach for anything that I coach even now. you didn't ask to help to be coach, yeah, but then you want to coach from the sidelines. Yeah, you wanna give your opinion and then you wanna start messing things up in the field by trying to tell your kid to go and you're trying to stop a what what do we call it? I mean you're throw I don't know where Brandon's going, but throwing doubles, right? Like that's Yeah, that's what I was looking for. Throwing doubles is your dad, you know, a dad in the stand's like throwing at home and you're trying to stop the runner at second. Like there's no you're not gonna get the guy from third running home, so might as well just let him go. Yeah. It's it's just all those little things and like Brennan just said, throwing doubles, especially in younger baseball for sure. Everybody wants to get everybody wants to get the out at home. Well, ninety percent of the time the catcher at home can't even catch it. Let's let's let's have the whole stands. Yeah, throw at home or go to the next base and then we get out or then we throw the ball over, blah, blah, blah. Just look, if you didn't sign up to coach. Then just hush. Yeah. Just hush. If you want to come help, I'll gladly let you help. So or sign up to coach. Yes. Coaching from the stands is so overrated. It's not even funny. The last question here is selling celebrating a tackle when you're down by I said twenty points, but even ten, fifteen points, celebrating a a tackle or even a a sack when you're twenty points down. Yeah, I mean that that's overrated. Yeah, that's overrated as it gets 'cause it's not and it's not just the tackles, right? Because that I mean, that's where you see it, right? Your team's down twenty two points, whatever it is, you get a sack and your dude jumps up and he's dancing like he just got a game winning sack. It ain't that serious. Yeah, it ain't the same as when you're in the moment and and and the game's close. Game's on the line and you just got a big time sack. That's not what just happened. Yeah. You know. You y you you just got one sack. Same thing with your y you know, your team's winning forty three to seven, the other team scores the touchdown and he jumps up and he spins the football, right? Like look at the scoreboard, bro. Just run to just run to the silent and just score your touchdown and go on. And and that's one of those things where I always look at and I'm like I I and maybe it's just me, but I just s when I see people do that and you're down I just start seeing you as an individual on the team and not Yeah. You know, you're not you being part of the team because you're celebrating one sack like, ooh, I'm patting my stats because I got a not a meanful sack when it doesn't matter. Yeah, and I think I think one you see it in a lot, which, you know, this is where the kids get it from, but baseball, right? You know, you're you're losing seven to one. You hit a solo shot. And it takes you 62 seconds to round the bases. Yep. Right. You're doing all these dancing and it's like, bro, it's now it's seven to two. You did nothing. Yeah. You you did absolutely nothing. Just hit the home run, run around the bases and get done. Like you gotta know. Yeah, you gotta know when to celebrate. You have to know when to celebrate. over rated under. That'll be that'll be it for over or under. I'm gonna jump into picks here. So Brandon's Brandon's slowly Still hanging on. He's slowly creeping his way back in. Brandon on the year is twelve and fifteen and I am fifteen and twelve. So we're we're really not that far. I know Brandon said it last week. One good week. One good week, and we back in it, baby. We're back. we both talk about this for a second. We both picked Florida. everybody thought, you know, Florida got beat by Mizzou the week before. Everybody was super high on Florida and we thought Florida would would jump back and then they got beat by South Carolina. Yeah. In the swamp. South Carolina's been awful. Yeah. and then, you know, Brandon picked Bama, which rightfully so. I'm not gonna I don't argue his pick. in Tuscaloosa game could have get went went either way there. I got a strong feeling that, you know, Bama, Georgia could see each other as two times at least, maybe three times. Yeah. depending on how it all falls out. But we get to the picks this week. there's there's there's there's quite a few big games, but Mizzou at Ole Miss. Ole Miss is a six point favorite. Who's at home? O it's it's at Ole Miss. It's at the Grove. Take old miss. Brandon's gonna take old miss. I Missouri's been rolling though. I I that's that's that's my only thing. But my only my only problem with Mizzou right now is that this is the same thing. The the same way that people are looking at Mizzou is the same way we looked at Florida two weeks ago. Right now, Florida's done lost two games. Yeah, we don't know what they really are. but I meet me personally, Brandon. know it's at Ole Miss. I don't I rode it last week with Florida. I don't know if I should or not, but I'm gonna go I'm gonna ride Mizzou. They seem to be hot. They ain't you know they ain't been doing bad. Try to get my leg up here. I know Brandon Brandon takes Ole Miss. this is a another interesting one to me because Bama just comes off the loss to Georgia hard fought big game Bama is at Tennessee and Bama is an eight and a half point favorite. Yeah. yeah, I'm gonna take Bama on that one. I think Bama takes it. I just don't think University of Tennessee is ready for that. Yeah, and I man, it it's a hard one for me. I just wonder if hangover. Yeah, I d that that's my only concern. Brendan's gonna go Bama. and this may be a a first ever here, but I'm gonna take UT It's at Tennessee at home. Bama just had a hard fault game. a little bit of a hangover. not saying Tennessee's gonna win, but I think Tennessee's gonna keep it close. So I'm gonna take the plus eight and a half for Tennessee. Next one, Miss State at LSU. And L S U is a a fourteen point favorite. LSU just came off a loss this pat their second loss under Lane Kiffin this past weekend. Mississippi State, they've only they've only lost one. Miss Mississippi State is the higher ranked team. Mississippi State's what, sixteen, LSU's twenty two. So Yeah, I mean, I I think I think given all I mean LSU a l a good bit of points. I got I'm gonna take Mississippi State. Mm. Dang. I I was honestly right there with Brandon. I thought he was g I thought Brandon was gonna go the other way. lot of points, man. I know. I'm I'm I'm taking Miss State on the fourteen fourteen points too, but I thought for sure Brandon was gonna take L S U. Florida at Texas. what you got, B G? I mean your boy Archie What is it? It's you know, it's ten and a half. Florida is at Texas. I think Texas struggles a lot, man, and I just I don't know. But Florida's been struggling. Yeah, I know that's the problem. they're at Texas, ten and a half's a lot. I have to go UF. I just don't think Arch can do that. I I un I was I thought we we started off a little bit different picks, but I'm right with Brandon. I don't I don't know that and I said in the beginning that I thought Arch may figure it out and he may be the dude. Unfortunately I don't know that he is the dude anymore. I don't think so either. I really don't. I think Florida probably figures it out here. there again, I don't know if Florida wins. But I bet that they keep it within the the ten and a half, so I'm gonna go Florida. Here's another one out of the SEC. OSU, Ohio State is at Indiana, right? Indiana won it all last year. I haven't watched a lot of Indiana. but they're also they hadn't lost a game. Yeah. Ohio State, you know, lost one to Texas, which is still weird to me. I don't even know about what's the points? I'm sorry. Ohio State is a three and a half point favorite. Indiana's at home. Yeah, I I'll I'll lay the points of Ohio State. Three and a half. I don't think Indiana's all that great. I think they've they've gotten lucky a few times. I think they're due for a loss here. I'm going opposite. I said all last year Indiana wasn't the team. Indiana wasn't the team. Kept doubting kept doubt kept doubting Next thing I know They're winning the whole whole deal. so I'm gonna take Indiana because I don't know that I can doubt They're at home. I'm I'm just gonna go Indiana. Yeah. Brandon takes Ohio State. All right. Here we go. Auburn at Georgia. Georgia is a twenty and a half point favorite. But it's in in Athens. I I know I said I'd ride with Georgia. They've been hot and I'm not You know, twenties a lot. They're coming off of a hangover off of off of playing Bama. So I think I gotta take Auburn here. Two weeks in a row. Brandon went against I mean, I I I mean, I want Georgia to win. It's just the point spread. I just don't know that Georgia, after a big game like that, they're gonna take Auburn all that serious, honestly. Yeah, and I don't know. I don't even know I don't know about the running backs. I don't know what they got going on over there. I don't know if Fraser's gonna play. I don't know if Bowen's gonna play. I don't know what I'm kind of I'm almost with Brandon, but I still think at home it may be close, but I think at the end of the day, Georgia probably takes them by three touchdowns, which would give me the over, you know, the cover on the twenty and a half. So I'm gonna take Georgia and just just go from there. Dang. we got we got we we got some different picks there, Brandon. It's a big week right here. Make or break week. Yep, this could be the week here. so we'll talk. We'll talk a little sports here. You know, Braves are out. but I just wanted to, you know, Falcons been hot, Brandon. They were. You know, Falcons been hot, beat the Saints, beat the Packers, both away. And they come last night and just let one slip away. Slip away and overtime. And then you got, you know, I don't I don't know a hundred percent how you feel about Michael Penix. takes that sack. Late in the game, doesn't come back into overtime. He he takes the sack and then he comes back and then they go to OT and then he's out. and I know everybody will say you've I've heard it a million times, the best ability is availability. Yep. And Michael Penix just never seems to be available. I don't know, you know, I know he said it, they said it on the radio. You know, it it there's it hurt his ribs, blah blah blah, his neck was hurting. But Brandon, as a player, you're going into overtime, you got a shot. I want to be out. You want to be out. I want to be the man. And the crazy thing is, is I heard, you know, I heard his comment in postgame. He said if they would have gotten the ball first in overtime, he would have went out there. But since they didn't, he was just sitting there. And he got stiff, his neck got stiff. Could have got on the bike. Why not get moving? That's what I say. Like why where where throwing could have been thrown on the sideline. What does that matter? Yeah, that and that and that's where that's where my problem lies with this dude is just don't seem like he wants it. No, and and there's no way and I know we're in a new age, blah, blah, blah. There's still some old school guys out there, but you just don't everybody's hurt. I just don't know how you just take yourself out of a game, especially in overtime. Like there's not a shot you're taking me out in overtime. Well, you know, Jake Matthews last game got hurt. He started, I heard the other day, 199 games with the Falcons. He got himself healthy. He played. I just you take a shot to the ribs, guess what? Every other quarterback does. Every other player gets hit hard. Nobody's a hundred percent healthy ever in the NFL. You you get hit by grown men who are professional football players. Yep. You either want it or you don't. And I just don't know that that Penix wants it. I I you're gonna have to ride him out this year. Yeah. I still think you got to draft a quarterback next year and you got to move on from Penix. I just think he's too injury prone. He doesn't want to be out there. You can say what you want. Yeah, he is scared. He's scared and And that's it. That'll be it on the Falcons. I just I mean that's all I got. Got them all riled up over here. I don't I just Penix is not the guy, man. Georgia, Brandon. Georgia takes a win. First time they've won in Tuscaloosa since 2007. You've heard all the talk all week, you know, you know, and not just on the radio or anywhere else, but your buddies who are Bama fans. Georgia can't beat Alabama. And you even made the comment. We watched the game together Saturday. You made the comment. Alabama's always had our number. I feel like it's just different. It's not if if Nick Saban was coaching, I would have been in the same boat. But I just don't think, you know I don't think that that matters anymore. Not and I don't think Saban in coaching. I don't think it does either anymore. Honestly, I don't feel like we're as timidated anymore as I do think we were with Nick Saban. I I I mean, I do think that as times has changed now. I mean I think honestly from that football game we were more physical. Yeah. Yeah. And I I mean I agree and that and you know, everybody's gonna talk about the pass interference call, right? Was it pass interference? Absolutely. Okay. No doubt about it. I'm not sitting here arguing that it wasn't pass interference because it was pass interference. But That one play doesn't define a whole game. No, I mean the next play, he took a sack that put him out of field goal range. Yeah, I mean you you don't know what's gonna happen after that. Do you fumble? Do you miss a field goal? You know, at at best you score, you know, i at medium, you you kick a field goal. Do you do you shank a field goal? You don't know what's gonna happen. Gunner, you know, right now, the way Gunner's been playing, I would trust him with. Two minutes on the clock to take us down to kick a game winning field goal. I would too. Right. Or game winning touchdown. I don't know. Gunner's been playing lights out. Dude's dudes are really good quarterback. Yeah. but I also, you know, we're we ran the ball all night long, got two hundred plus yards rushing with a running back that weighs a hundred and eighty five pounds. Soaking wet. They call him peanut. Yeah. So we were down to our third four string running back. I think that makes a big deal. You don't have a big bruiser, which honestly is what the Falcons found out last night. You keep pounding Derrick Henry, pounding Derrick Henry. The same thing with Georgia. If they were able to run Frazier, run Bowen, big backs, it's a different it's a different ball game. I still think Georgia's the better team. It was a great game. I'm not arguing that it wasn't a good game. It was a great game. I've loved to watch it. Me and Brandon were on the edge of our seats. Yep. we fought Especially and I don't know what Brandon thought, but when when Woodring misses that field goal for Georgia It's a dagger. As a Georgia fan, as a Falcons fan, the first thing that goes through my mind is here we go. There goes the game. That's the start of the mishaps. The start of the downhill turn, right? Like that's but they figured it out. Alabama can fans can whine about that pass interference call. We could sit here and go down All the misscalls. All the missed calls from I mean, don't get me wrong. That yeah, every game. Don't get me wrong, the the the officiating in that game wasn't great. By no means. But it did go both ways. Yeah, you had a PI and people are gonna say targeting and face mask, but we could go and look at every play and we could pick something out. Pick something, right? Holding, right? The ho the big holding call that everybody's talking about right now, right, where the center's holding our guy. The dude throws a a touchdown pass, right? Keelon Russell, which don't get me wrong, Keelon's a good quarterback. but he throws that touchdown pass, should have been a holding call, blah, blah, blah. Just get over it. Alabama and Georgia are gonna play again, if not two more times. Yep. So we'll see who, you know, at the end of the day, it's gonna it'll all work itself out. That that loss didn't hurt Alabama. It doesn't yeah, the only reason Georgia went to one is because Texas lost. Yep. It's not or It it'll all work itself out. We got a lot of games to play. But that's it on the sports. That's it.
