5. VisionQuest

What happens when Vision has all the memories of a life he lived, but isn't sure that life actually belongs to him?

The Road to VisionQuest ends here.

After the events of WandaVision, the rebuilt Vision disappeared into the world with his memories restored but his identity still unresolved. Now, Vision is finally returning.

In Episode 5 of Ultimate Mayhem, we're breaking down everything we know about Marvel Television's VisionQuest before it arrives on Disney+.

Vision has escaped from those who wanted to turn him into a weapon and gone into hiding while searching for meaning in his new existence. Inside his programming are familiar artificial intelligence personalities including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H. and J.A.R.V.I.S.

And then there's Ultron.

With James Spader returning alongside Paul Bettany, Vision will have to confront the artificial intelligence responsible for his creation while resisting Ultron's influence over him.

But Vision isn't making this journey alone.

A bounty placed on his head sends him on the run alongside Thomas Shepard, a mysterious young man who may actually be the reincarnation of Vision's son, Tommy Maximoff.

WandaVision gave us a family created through grief.

Agatha All Along revealed that Billy Maximoff survived.

Now VisionQuest may finally bring another piece of that family home.

We're talking about Vision's identity, the return of Ultron, Thomas Shepard, the other artificial intelligences living inside Vision's programming, what the trailer tells us, and how VisionQuest brings the story that began with WandaVision to its conclusion.

This is Road to VisionQuest: Part Three.

VisionQuest premieres October 14, 2026 on Disney+.
