O TYM ODCINKU
Sarah and Channa are back in full February mode, freezing mornings and all. When the temps dropped into the 30s, Channa was immediately in snowboard mode—Tahoe trips, avalanche news, and a reminder that while she loves adventure, she also loves coffee breaks at the lodge and “princess snowboarder” energy. Trees? Backcountry expeditions? Hard pass. Give her open runs and a midday nosh.
Beyond the fun and sarcasm, there’s a deeper thread. They reflect on how athletes are competing and winning well into their 40s, and how that speaks to longevity, resilience, and taking better care of our bodies. It’s a nod to the evolution of strength—especially for women.
That evolution theme continues when they pivot into America’s Next Top Model new documentary and the early 2000s reality TV era. Rewatching old episodes during Covid opened up a whole new lens. What was once “normal” now feels shocking—body shaming, harassment brushed aside, young women silenced for speaking up. Sarah and Channa unpack how much has changed in just 20 years, especially when it comes to women using their voices and refusing to tolerate toxic environments.
The episode lands in real-life mom mode when Chann shares a raw moment navigating her 21-year-old son’s work conflict. It’s that push-pull of wanting to fix everything versus letting your adult kids fail forward. The hard truth? Growth comes from discomfort. You can’t shield them forever—even when every instinct says “mama bear, activate.”
Through it all, Sarah and Channa balance humor with heart, sarcasm with substance. Olympics, reality TV, parenting, growth—it’s all wrapped into one very Truth & Pink reminder:
You don’t have to follow the mold. You don’t have to stay silent. And sometimes the biggest growth comes from letting people fall… and trusting they’ll rise.
Part two coming next week. 💕
