Secondly, Russian President Putin, for the first time visited the remote southern Kuril Islands in country’s far east. Putin visited the dispute island of Iturup, also known as Etorofu in Japanese, drawing sharp reaction from Tokyo. #CutTheClutter Episode 1880 looks at these two events, their significance & how they have put Indo-Pacific back in focus.
