Police say the women demanded up to $180, and one tourist was struck more than 22 times, including with a high-heeled boot. Both women face battery charges, while Ortiz faces an additional fraud charge.

The Pentagon says the December 3 firing-squad execution of convicted Fort Hood mass murderer Nidal Hasan will be livestreamed. The former Army major killed 13 people and wounded 32 in the November 5, 2009 massacre. Convicted and sentenced to death in 2013, Hasan could become the first person executed by the U.S. military since 1961. Officials confirmed plans for the broadcast but say viewing details will follow.
