O TYM ODCINKU
For a long time, I described myself as just a mum. Just a teacher.
There was nothing wrong with being either of those things. But somewhere along the way, other parts of me, the girl who wrote for a national magazine at 18, and ran classes for young girls from her parents’ living room, disappeared.
Then I turned 40.
And I had what can only be described as a midlife crisis.
It led me to therapy. Therapy led to a lot of questions. And those questions eventually led me to a Master’s in Psychology and to creating Reflections & Realisations.
This is a space for the things I find myself thinking about: psychology, relationships, identity, faith, family, and the stories we carry about ourselves and each other.
I’m curious about people, why we behave the way we do, and what happens when we start questioning the roles we’ve spent years playing.
And the question I keep coming back to is: who am I?
I’m still figuring that one out.
If you’re figuring some things out too, you’re very welcome here.
