Previewing Team Wales with Dan Jones

The Commonwealth Games countdown is officially on, and our Home Nations preview series continues! Today, we are focusing on Team Wales and the undeniable pride of wearing the Welsh Dragon.

We sit down with two-time Commonwealth Games athlete Dan Jones to discuss his preparations for Glasgow 2026. Dan shares what it truly means to carry the passion of a smaller nation on his shoulders, the incredible support system at Swim Wales, and why the Commonwealth Games is so vital for keeping athletes in the sport and giving them an international spotlight. Plus, he previews the highly anticipated Men's 4x200m Freestyle relay—a race where Wales is ready to scrap for a medal.

After the interview, we break down the 21-swimmer Team Wales squad. We look at the heavy expectations on superstar Matt Richards, discuss the international comeback of Medi Harris, and highlight breakout stars to watch, including 17-year-old sprint sensation Theodora Taylor and RAF serviceman Kyle Booth.
