O TYM ODCINKU
Did Oasis talk about what they were going to wear? Where did Noel shop in the early days? Which get-up left the Oldham Athletic fans speechless, and which jacket would he rush to save in an emergency?
In this, the first ever Lifejacket conversation Noel Gallagher talks to Fenners about his love of casual culture.
The Oasis star and Manchester City fan charts his sartorial upbringing in Manchester, citing musical and fashion influences mirrored on the terraces at Maine Road and around the country. Noel talks of his love for Stone Island, C.P. Company, as well as the sportswear brands of the 1980’s.
Amidst rumours of a run of Knebworth gigs in 2026, Fenners reunites the songwriting genius with a Boss piece of Knebworth history, and Noel explains how it felt when legendary adidas SPZL curator Gary Aspden invited him to help create his own bespoke adidas trainer, likening it to ‘ Paul McCartney asking you to write a B-side for The Beatles’.
