Is Tacoma really a queer-friendly city? This episode, Dave Jones sits down with Katie Jones — Tacoma native, Abode real estate agent, and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community — for an honest conversation about what it actually feels like to grow up, raise a family, and feel safe in Tacoma.Katie gets candid about the nuances of acceptance in a city that's often misunderstood: where the safe spaces are, how visibility and community events like Pride are changing the culture, and why small, supportive local businesses matter more than people realize. We also talk real estate — respectful pronoun use, understanding relationship dynamics, and what true inclusion looks like in practice. Then we get practical: tangible steps allies and neighbors can take to foster real inclusion, and why Pride rings louder in Tacoma than ever — youth visibility, community resilience, and the ongoing push toward equality. If you're thinking about moving to Tacoma, want to be a better ally, or just care about building community rooted in respect, this one's for you.#InsideAbode #Tacoma #TacomaRealEstate #PierceCounty #WindermereAbode #PNW #RealEstatePodcast #Pride #LGBTQ #QueerInTacoma #PrideMonth #community --------------------------------------------Connect with Katie Jones on Youtube and Instagram (@253migration)  @253migration  🏡 Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more real estate tips and updates!🔑 Connect with one of our agents! 👇https://www.windermereabode.com/people➡ WEBSITE ➳www.windermereabode.com➡ INSIDE ABODE PODCAST ➳ 🎙️Subscribe and listen to the insideABODE podcast➡I N S T A G R A M ➳instagram.com/windermereabode
