O TYM ODCINKU
In today's episode, I chat with Kate Llewellyn, a professional content writer who has built her business around helping others find their voice and communicate with clarity. Kate shares her journey from the world of publishing into entrepreneurship, driven by her love of words and the unexpected opportunity that came with voluntary redundancy.
Kate opens up about how becoming a mother reshaped her career trajectory, and how the challenges of COVID-19 further influenced her business evolution. She reveals the insightful decision-making processes that have guided her path, including the crucial step of networking before she had fully defined her business direction—a move that proved instrumental in shaping her future.
We explore Kate's positioning as a professional content writer through her online membership programme, and her observations about the lack of visibility for female business owners, discussing how we often fall prey to the 'self-doubt tax.'
I was intrigued by Kate's insights on social media and mental health, especially how business owners are particularly susceptible to imposter syndrome and negative comparison; she makes a particularly astute comparison between modern marketing and the simplicity of the pre-internet era's local village notice board.
So whether you're struggling with content confidence, looking to network more authentically, or simply want to find your voice in your business, Kate's practical wisdom and honest reflections offer invaluable guidance for building a business that truly reflects who you are.
