Speaker 1: There's a lot happening today. We're going to get into all of it, but first, CalSheet, because you can actually trade on things we're talking about right here. CalSheet is an exchange where you can trade on any event from sports and politics to pop culture and weather. There's no house setting the odds. You're always trading against other people. Sign up with promo code HOTMICES and receive an extra 25 bucks free. Trade responsibly. Some might say the mics have never been hotter. God, has he retained his handsomeness. You're very kind. Billy Bush. What a pleasure. How much would you say I have of Strahan Venmo in my history? About $ 8, Billy. Shooter McGavin. He's like, what can I touch? The butt's great. Don't wander around anywhere else. Shooter McGavin loves the a * *. You don't have hair on your head. Get a little more shallow. And welcome to Hot Mics on this Monday. We are the new safe space for fatties, beardos, and weirdos, okay? You're not welcome in the Pentagon, but come on in. We'll take anyone. Hot Mics presented by Kalshi. Okay, guys, lots to talk about today, okay? Three weeks after the alleged incident at Cornell, Jane Doe started recording her phone calls, okay? With the guys. Jane Doe to Matthew Ingalls. Do you remember how any of these guys walked in? Talking about the others. Ingalls. The door was just unlocked. The party was sort of like crowded. There was nowhere else to go. Jane Doe, if I wanted to take this somewhere, what y'all did would be classified as gang rape. Okay. Here are... This is... Jane Doe recording Matthew Ingalls. I put together his audio. Roll it. You want me to give my recollection of the entire night? You did tell me you were sober, by the way. You did.
00:02:05
Speaker 2: You said you hadn't been anywhere.
00:02:07
Speaker 1: So you come in, say hi. We start dancing for like maybe three to five minutes. And then I pop the question.
00:02:16
Speaker 2: You say yes.
00:02:18
Speaker 1: Then I remember like we didn't know who else to bring. So I go to.
00:02:22
Speaker 2: who was on the dance floor too.
00:02:24
Speaker 1: And I popped the question and he's like, yeah.
00:02:27
Speaker 2: And then we go upstairs.
00:02:29
Speaker 1: I have racked my brain.
00:02:31
Speaker 2: For this mystery. You know, it's possible that both of us like.
00:02:35
Speaker 1: Remember this and it's not true. The party was sort of like crowded.
00:02:40
Speaker 2: So people started like filling up the balcony just because there was nowhere else to go.
00:02:49
Speaker 1: He said, it's possible that both of us remember this, but it's not true. Like maybe like we think it happened, but it really didn't. Of course, then the message boards, you know, light up and everyone's talking about what happens at Chi Phi. The boys have denied any wrongdoing despite sending, you know, hey, I just wanted to apologize for how things went down the other night. I feel terrible because of the drugs and the alcohol. I didn't shut it down and kick people out before it got way out of hand. I don't know how you get more out of hand than what it did. But, you know, at least there's an awareness of wrongdoing. But they are legally protected from reprehensible behavior, it seems. In New York, it is almost impossible to seek justice if you voluntarily consume alcohol or drugs before an assault, somewhat amazingly. You know, they could all go to jail, though, because this is one of those tipping point moments in our culture. Doesn't it feel that way? Like example time. New York's governor, Kathy Hochul, just did something that suggests the boys are cooked. They're in trouble. And later we'll talk about what that is. We'll do a deep dive on Cornell. But I'll tell you what, it is... This whole thing is developing and getting deeper. It's not abating. There is a deep dive right here on Hot Mics in a minute. But first, Hot Mics, Hot Takes. Let's take a look at some of the other things we're talking about today. Blake Lively is weighing in on Cornell. Somewhat amazingly, she needed her Instagram story from a few days ago to Disappear in 24 minutes, not 24 hours. I told you Blake fired Leslie Sloan, her publicist, and she hired someone else I've known for a long time, Kelly Bush. No relation. Your mission, Kelly, should you accept it, is, look, I'm not going away, and I'm not taking accountability for my behavior, so I need you to make this me come back happen. And Kelly, by the way, is Kelly Bush is in the same category as Leslie. Proven, tough, kind of armadillo skin to publicist, old guard, up for the challenge, I guess. So Blake Lively and Kelly Bush made their first move, and it is a doozy. Blake basically Googled and posted several sort of actionable support networks and hotlines for fellow, perhaps suggested, survivors, you know, support networks like RAINN, you know, hey, Rape Abuse and Incipient National Network, the National Domestic Violence Hotline, Title IX and Campus Safety Resources. Thanks, Blake. Thanks for doing the Google work and putting this out for people. So suggestive, so passive-aggressive. So translucent. I mean, obvious, right? It's phony because, you know, two weeks after Jane Doe files a lawsuit, all that, instead of posting it then, immediately, you take two weeks, all that time, meeting with Kelly Bush, planning the strategy. It's calculated, it's opportunistic, it's embarrassingly desperate and misplaced as an attempt at image rehab, okay? Come on, Bushy. And I'm talking to Kelly here. You're better than that. Here's what's happening. She's directing you, right? She likes to go in where other people have authority in their areas of expertise and kind of take over and tell them what to do. She did it with Baldoni, who was directing the movie. And now she's directing you and telling you, the great Kelly Bush, who's been doing this forever, how to do your job. Your job is to say to Blake, go away. People cannot miss your marginal talents if they are not deprived of them for just a minute. Okay, let them miss you. Also, hot mics, hot takes. Here we go. Midterms are ahead. And if you vote to keep the House and Senate Republican, Trump is going to give you $ 5, 000. Democrats, crazy. Democrats are leading or basically even in all the areas Trump won bigly two years ago, every territory. let the Latino vote, which Trump amazingly sort of coalesced, has eroded. It's like they were invited to Bedminster, you know, they thought they were playing golf. Turns out you were a caddy. 82% of people right now disapprove of Trump's handling of cost of living issues, which means, right, it's the economy, stupid. That's almost, that's totally insurmountable. 82%, okay? By the way, his cost of living is doing just fine. But Trump's advisor says the polls are fake, they're bogus, the economy is actually booming, and all the usual shit that people are tired of hearing. The Republican Party is facing a defining moment right now and post-midterm is when it's going to get real. What do you do with Trump After the midterms, does he, most people, most presidents forever fade away, right? They're called lame ducks and they have no leverage, except he's different, right? He wields influence through fear of retribution to no end. He's got a certain amount of people like 20%, 22, I don't know, within the Republican Party who just love him, not anything else, just him. So he can wield that. And when there's like, you know, primaries and things like that, his voice can matter and he will wield that cudgel of fear like nobody's business. The Trump administration wants to, here's the latest, they want to reinstate the White House ban on three major media outlets within days. The DOJ, Department of Justice Lawyers, representing the president, wrote in the filing that the federal trial court in Washington, D.C. should not issue a preliminary order that would block the president's ban until after a final ruling is made on whether it's legal. This is crazy, but I don't blame Trump. He has never disguised himself as something he's not, right? This is core behavior for him. We knew it. We elected him. The scary part is the DOJ lawyers, They're like Chi Phi frat brothers. Not one of them is willing to stand up and say this is wrong. My view is the party needs to break away from the Trump decade. Can they do it? Will one or someone cave out of fear? that he's going to primary them or something. Nobody's ever held such a grip, even through big disapproval numbers. It's kind of astounding. And no one's ever been this vindictive, but he is. So who knows what happens after the midterms? If anyone can hang on to it, it's him. All right. Hot mic, hot take on Krista Pike. She survives two years. Lethal injections. And right now, the latest is she remains hospitalized. She's unconscious. And she's on a ventilator. There's no protocol to finish off this woman. She's unbelievable. She's the nastiest woman on the planet. I flew to New York, was it Friday or Thursday, to go do some stuff at Fox News. And I end up watching this Krista Pike documentary. Not even planning on to talk about it. Just someone sent it to me. Look, she looks like a sweet person. She's the nastiest, scariest woman I've ever seen. If you don't know Krista Pike, when she was 18 years old, she was working at Job Corps in Knoxville, Tennessee, which is almost like a community college or a vocational college. And she murdered this girl, carved a pentagram into her stomach, lured her out in the park. Krista and her boyfriend did. And, you know, they're satanic worshipers and they She was jealous, thought the girl wanted her boyfriend. Carved this thing. It slowly mutilated her. It was unbelievable. But they tried to put her to, I mean, the guy that investigated this, the head of the Knoxville PD, who was the lead investigator, said this is the scariest woman I've ever seen. So they tried to kill her. Injection one of pentobarbital. She says, my arm is hot. Feels like it's going to burst. Is this normal? She says. The media is sitting there like, oh my God. Like, She's behind this curtain and they don't know what to do. So they give her another injection. And then she just starts snoring like a buffalo. It's wild. So the governor of Tennessee, Bill Lee, is freaking out right now. Right. He not only pulled the plug on her execution. but he canceled executions for the rest of the year. He's, I mean, who's running this laboratory? Who is checking on the pentobarbital? The FDA doesn't oversee pentobarbital and executions. So it's like, you got to get the vet down the street to do this. I don't know. This is what they, you know, euthanize dogs with this stuff. Who knows if it's even kept in the refrigerator? It's a loose procedure. And that's why, honestly, they're still, they're talking about bringing back the firing squad, which, um, I can't wrap my head around. But the Tennessee commissioner of prisons, Frank Strata, is stepping away later on this month. Nice thing. Looks like a head of security, you know, for like a rich person. But he's botched three executions. So an independent review is underway. But at the end of the month, this guy's gone. I think that's, you know, maybe a good call. Here's the thing. She was a satanic worshiper, right? My take is she might just be the devil. You know, she's not going this way. She survives two lethal injections. She might be the devil himself. Okay, hot mic hot take. The L'Oreal Paris fashion show. This went viral a week ago. It's been viral throughout the week. And over the weekend, people are commenting and going crazy over a particular model, right? The event is a women's all-inclusive event called Express Your Worth. And there was, you know, in this, you got the short, you got the tall, every color, all kinds of women. And as you would assume, there is a trans model. This is a trans Brazilian singer. The internet thought that this particular model right here who opened the show, it got passed around to everybody, and they said, you know, uh-uh, look at her go. The internet is very impatient. Take a look at this particular model. Yeah. Okay. Excuse me. Did you see what I just saw right there? Okay. I said to myself, that's a, that's a fantastic look at. Okay. That's a great looking trans model, right? But as soon as the pivot happened, that is a female rear end. That is a female ass. A hundred percent. No man. I don't care what you do. is going to be able to put together a butt like that. Absolutely. And I'm telling you something, the trans community is getting very good at this. If that's a trans model, it's like NA beer, right? Getting frighteningly close to the real thing. I will tell you, if that if that's a trans model right there, and I was a single person, and I went to that fashion show, and I ended up drinking champagne at the after party, and somehow we ended up at the Ritz back together, I would find out that that's a trans model the hard way. I'm telling you something. There's no way. And sure enough, we find out that is just a woman with a, you know, twig and berries fruit basket sewn in her dress in the front, uh, Not the trans model. I don't know who the actual trans model is, but in fact, I mean, like I said, if that's trans, okay. You know, all bets are off now. Let's talk about Kalshi here for a second, our sponsor. Then we'll get into Cornell. But Kalshi, look, the midterms are coming up. James Tallarico, the white Obama, is pulling away from that derelict Ken Paxton. 64% to 36% right now. Two to one, people are thinking that Tallarico is going to pull this off, but he's only leading in the polls by three points. So, and by the way, money is heavily in Paxton's favor now, and I'm talking about the spending. The Republican Senatorial Committee is spending five to one over Tallarico, who was spending a lot more than him, but it's close. Money's all over the... I mean... Desperate attempts to show Tallarico, you know, as misaligned and out of step with Texas values. So much so that even a corrupt guy like Paxton is a better call are not totally working. But the fact that the dude is leading by three points in Texas. But it's two to one on Kalshi. You'll double your exit if you take Paxton. Do you put a little money on there, even though, you know. The guy's maybe not the most honest fella. Kalshi's an exchange where you can trade on what you think will happen across sports, politics, culture, whatever's on your mind. You're going up against other traders directly. No house, no setting of odds or anything like that. The house isn't taking their cut. It's just people putting their money behind their opinion. Trade 25 bucks with Code Hot Mics and Kalshi will throw in another 25 instantly. Trade responsibly. Okay, let's talk Cornell. I almost went there, by the way. Back in the day, I was looking at colleges, and I was a lacrosse player. I was an All-American lacrosse player in high school. So I was looking at big programs as well as Division III programs, and they had a legendary coach in Richie Moran. So I almost played for the Big Red. Interesting. I followed this woman on Instagram, Allison Task, who– posted she was she would have been my year and she posted that this has been going on there for a long time it happened to her back in 19 whatever it was 92 or 3 um the president of cornell michael kotlikoff put out a statement an eight minute video statement um he's not a gifted orator it's really boring and you know he says everything that you imagine he would say right we got to do better we're looking into this. I support, you know, the governor's decision to appoint, you know, Attorney General Letitia James, you know, to run the investigation. Here are the latest developments. The relationship between Tompkins County DA Michael Van Houten and Cornell is under fire. The early voices that blasted Jane Doe as being whatever, you know, not being able to live with the consequences of her decision, that crowd, She 100% said that she was graped then, okay? When 120 pages became six pages, that part where she made that declaration somehow got lopped off, amazingly. But here's what I'm thinking, here's what a lot of people are thinking, and here's what her lawyer has not successfully answered yet. Why did she sign it? Why did she sign the six page statement, the reduction, 1,000 pages of research and investigation became 120 pages of her actually being interviewed, which became six pages of a statement that missed the part where she very clearly said that she was 100% graped. Why did she sign the statement? Did something happen in their interim? Did something get lost in translation or omitted on purpose? Reportedly, the DA declined additional evidence, by the way, after receiving the statement. So that's going to be looked at. Additionally, Jane Doe reported eight to 10 men at Chi Phi graped her. That is absent in the six-page report. So New York's Governor Kathy Hochul did what any savvy politician would do. She grandstanded. She big-footed the DA, Matthew Van Houten, and brought in the big guns. Attorney General Letitia James, Queen Letitia. This won't be an investigation. It's going to be a manhunt. And the press absolutely knows it. They raised it with her in the press conference. Listen to this. Attorney General, on your Facebook page three days ago, you wrote to her and to all survivors, you're not alone. You stand with you.
00:21:27
Speaker 2: Why did you affirm her allegations as fact without doing your own fact-finding investigations?
00:21:33
Speaker 1: Attorney General, please. I will not comment on a Facebook post. Yeah. Her mind is made up. No question. And, you know, I understand it. The evidence is out there. It looks very, you know, as a person, but you're an attorney general and you're supposed to be running an investigation. You got to at least act like you're impartial and you have made no conclusions. Harvey Levin the other day read a Cornell Police Department email saying, from November of 2022, and it addressed policy versus punishment at Cornell. A fraternity caught with underage drinking or an event that's unbecoming or whatever gets an automatic three-year suspension. How often do you think that is enforced? How about never? Cornell is a massive business. One third of the student body is involved in Greek life. The endowment is like $ 12 billion. It's a giant business. And Greek life is a big part of it. There's no way they're getting rid of these fraternities and sororities. It's too dangerous to the business. So get this. Less than 24 hours before the bacchanalia at Kaifai, a kid, a frat bro at Kaifai, OD'd on ketamine and was taken away by the cops. Wait a minute. Less than 22 hours, they have this party where Jane Doe comes at 11 p.m. This dorm or this house is a crack house. Ketamine is like on every table, it seems like. Keep in mind, ketamine, this is what Dexter used to incapacitate his victims before taking them. It's a dissociative anesthetic. It separates the mind and the body. Like, what do you think is going to happen? The cold, hard truth here is, I mean, sexual assault is a severe problem. It's as prevalent as cancer, right? Everybody knows somebody. Over 8,000 rapes were reported at U.S. colleges in 2024, one year. Here are the schools. I was surprised to learn, by the way, the top three schools where this takes place or it's happened, I guess, who are plagued by sexual violence. Again, 2024, one year. The University of Utah, number one, 146 rape events, occurrences in 2024, one year. This is like a Mormon enclave. Salt Lake City. Boulder, which I thought were all hippies, 96 of them. Ohio State, 67. The vigilantes on the Cornell campus are out. They're everywhere. Maybe you saw this. A video surfaced of a woman allegedly confronting one of the guys on campus. Take a look. Are you not like embarrassed to be here?
00:24:48
Speaker 2: After all of this time, after the case comes out, your name is here, your face is on the paper. Are you not ashamed that you still are here with an education while Jane Doe had.
00:24:56
Speaker 1: To fucking leave? You realize there's a reason for that, right? What's the reason for that? I'm not going to talk about all this right now. Y'all don't even know this. Yeah, and you never will because you're a disgusting person. You're a disgusting person. Everyone in Cornell is ashamed of you. Like, that group chat is fucking disgusting. I have nothing to do with it. Were you in the group chat? Yeah, and none of you did shit. You're in the lawsuit, man. I don't know what the fuck to tell you.
00:25:26
Speaker 2: I'm just disgusted by you.
00:25:27
Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you know personally. I'm ashamed to be on the same campus as you. And you're a gross person. This is just a reality of the times. You know, I'd like there to be an investigation. But look, You know, nuance, gray area. We're all sort of incapable of nuance, it seems. But I understand what the girl is doing. I get it. I don't think it's fair. You know what I mean? I don't think it's appropriate. I don't like it. But I get it. It's not, you know, I'd let whatever, you know, investigation is going to take place happen. and let justice prevail. The attorney for Jane Doe has been in a lot of places. Thomas Jouffre has done interviews on all the major cable news networks. He reports that Jane Doe herself is hanging on by a thread that life has been completely ruined, and when asked if there are more photos or evidence in the Snapchat Specifically, he called out the lack of investigation at the time. He is obviously going after Cornell. But did he jump the shark a little bit here? This is Thomas.
00:26:59
Speaker 2: If this was a normal investigation that was done in New York City, for example, they would have gotten search warrants. They would have grabbed every single one of these phones of these guys. They would have downloaded all this material. I'm confident knowing this day and age and the group that we're dealing with that there were other photos, there were videos. And you know where I think those photos and videos are now? I think they're in the bottom of Lake Cuyahoga because once they knew there was a problem, they cleared everything out and they got rid of it. And the fact is that the investigators let that happen. They let that happen. We'd have a lot more evidence.
00:27:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a little bit ahead of himself. He looks he's a very good lawyer. He seems very competent. But the fact that, you know, more evidence and cell phones are at the bottom of the lake and the whole thing. I mean, he's impugning them a little ahead of schedule here. And remember, he's a civil attorney. So his job is to get it as big a settlement as possible out of Cornell. He's definitely going to get one. I don't know what you know. Letitia James is going to uncover in her criminal because New York state law is pretty flimsy in this area. But this guy's going to get a big check out of that 12 billion that Cornell has. Jane Doe is going to get a massive settlement. OK, look, the other part is whenever something major happens in our country, in our culture, we always say what we've got to have the conversation. We need to have the conversation. It's always said. And no surprise, it doesn't really happen. Rational voices are out there. In fact, they're likely in the majority. We're just not hearing them. The algorithm is killing us, right? It deprioritizes rational, nuance-driven critical thinking and amplifies extremism, outrage, polarization. It's the enemy of bipartisanship, compromise, decency. It is toxic. Social media is really anti-social media because it fuels divisions. It feeds on hysteria. The angrier we are at each other, the more it flourishes. We all know this, right? If you believe the Chi Phi frat brothers are degenerate, immoral predators, then, you know, you love AOC and you vote blue. What? If you believe this girl made poor choices and instead of regretting them and living with the consequences is now taking cover under victimhood, you love Trump. and you vote red. I mean, are we honestly sheep to that degree? This is okay? To be stuffed into these ridiculous compartments? Screw you, really. Here's some basic truths, you know, as I run it through. Humans are animals, right? With increasing levels of domesticity as time goes on. Most boys, boys, I was one, they're raging hormonal animals. without alcohol and ketamine. With it, they're mad scientists. Girls are more emotional, trusting, and governed without alcohol and ketamine, and with it, they are at risk. I raised three of them and have learned a lot. In 1962, Helen Gurley Brown wrote Sex and the Single Girl, which I think is like maybe, to me, that feels like the basis of Sex and the City more than Candace Bushnell's book, but whatever. She argued that an unmarried woman could have an active sex life, a career, a financial independence, and she didn't need a husband to validate any of it. It was a huge success and damn straight. I'm with you, girl. You don't need no man until it's 145 in the morning in a room full of dudes in the frat house. Then you need a well-developed, responsible one to stand up and do the right thing, because God made men to hunt, fight, provide and protect, booze and key bumps, short-circuit God's plan. Cavemen used to do this, you know, assault sober. And I don't think it is slut-shaming to say Jane Doe, you know, being open to the first threesome with... the object of her affection and the object of his, put this ill-fated, sickening night upstairs in a frat house on the 50-yard line. Jane Doe had a crush on Matthew Ingalls. She thought that he liked her too. She took a few shots of courage. She went to his frat house at 11 p.m. alone. Yeah, she should be able to do that without something terrible happening. but rational thinking will tell you the chances greatly increase. If it was a sober house, like, would any of this have happened? Nobody's chugging Coca-Cola and eating Doritos off, you know, anyone's erect penis at two o'clock in the morning in a booze-free frat house. Jane was self-admittedly a five drunk when she consented to the original threesome with the object of her affection and the object of his, sorry, She said, I thought they were gay. Okay, you may have been a five drunk, but you're a nine naive in that case. Jonathan Newell is the tell here, the second guy. Late night, drunk and high, Newell sends. Free pussy and alum pull up to 50 guys. Next day, sober Newell sends. Sorry about how that all went down. You know, I wish I could have stopped it. I was drunk and hazy and all that. He knew full well it was wrong. Here's the part that greatly irritates the manosphere and worse, the womanosphere. Women, critical women who are, you know, usually very attractive, you know, wearing shoulder bearing, you know, outfits and blasting away at girls on behalf of men and other sort of alpha girls. A victim of rape doesn't think or act rationally in the aftermath of rape because rape is trauma. There is no more severe a trauma than rape. And gang rape? Multiply it. The hot girls of the womanosphere see girls who have blindly trusted or naively succumbed as weak links in the food chain, right? Giving women a bad name, holding us back. It's unrealistic and it's irrational, I think. Why do these things keep happening? The answer's obvious. The paradigm never shifts. There's either inability to articulate totally logical trauma response or a massive unwillingness to hear it and try and understand it. When the assailant is also someone the victim depends on or is close to, a family member, a partner, a trusted acquaintance, a boy she likes in a frat house, And perhaps that boy holds the key to a very cool social life for her. The mind has an incentive to not fully register the betrayal because acknowledging it would threaten an important relationship or maybe your entire active social life in college. It would be easier to minimize and rationalize continued closeness with this person who harmed them rather than throw the whole experience out of whack. What makes this keep happening is most victims try this. They try to rationalize it, and too many of them succeed. Also, many survivors experience an involuntary paralysis during the assault itself, which afterward gets misread by the survivor and others as some kind of passive consent or failure to resist, whatever. And that feeds shame and blame. Now, let me pause right here and say, don't accuse me of mansplaining here, okay? My dumb ass would never know any of this unless it happened to someone in my stead, okay? Like I said, how prevalent it is. Oh, you better believe this has affected me in my life and at the right time, we will explain more about that. But I have been in the support role for someone in this situation. Look, drunk and high on special K 19 and 20-year-olds are not the best arbiters of right and wrong, okay? I hate to say it, but one-night stands are bad for boys, too. They're devastating for girls. They kill marriage. I mean, we all know it. It's not just, you know, consenting adults go at it, but whatever. You know, the fact that it's the recipe for disaster is right in front of everybody. It's just as obvious as can be how Cornell is going to contain this or fix this. ultimately with one third of the student body in Greek life. And basically, you know, it's like Lord of the Flies. You know what I mean? It's like, here, govern yourselves. You're not, your frontal cortex is not fully formed, but here, set up a government, live with it. It's like, it's impossible. We're in a mess. How do we get out? I don't know. One thought is try and tune out the crazies who are blasting away in their echo chambers. Right? Right. Try to embrace nuance. Think rationally. I'd like to see a congressional oversight committee on the algorithm. You know, maybe big tech has a responsibility to stop dividing us and feeding us what this algorithm needs regulation like. While we're meeting on AI, let's meet on the social media algorithm. What people get fed. I see it out there. And I talk about the womanosphere. There is... People know how to whip that thing up. And people I know, you know, I can see them whipping it instead of actually trying to make a nice nuanced argument. Anyway, people will try and, you know, again, come after me for whatever you want. Think I don't know what I'm talking about or mansplaining. I have every bit of experience in this area the hard way. What do you guys think your thoughts? Where do we go from here? Let's check out the comment section right now and, uh, pop them up here. Here we go. Thank you, Linda. I love you too. Uh, the essay aspect. And I, uh, grew up in that town. Wow. You grew up in Ithaca. Huh? Never, ever leave your drink unattended. There's Annie with a little bit of practical advice in the chat section. Um, Yeah. There's hands of justice. Billy, glad to be here with you. Social media was designed to divide. It's the fact, Jack. I mean, I think you can't, you know, social media is great. Leave it alone. But the algorithm feels that's biased. That's not egalitarian. That's not, you know, equal. That is rewarding the most outrageous and inflammatory comments and feeding that to all of us. I see people in this area whose audiences and subscriberships, the more detached from nuance they are, the bigger they grow. I ain't doing it. We'll grow at whatever pace is responsible and appropriate and lets me sleep at night. Okay. Okay. Oh. Whoa. Hey, you know what? I love Megan. Sometimes I totally disagree with her. And I think that sometimes I don't understand what's going on. And I'd love to have a conversation about this. I reached out to her producer. And I said, let's talk about this. Because my, to me, when, and I'm not talking about her, I'm just talking about anybody at this point. That means nothing ever happened to you or a child of yours or someone that you look out for in life. Because if it did, you would know exactly how it works. There you go. Okay. Let me give you a couple of things that are going on here at Hot Mics. Wednesday, the great Alan Jackson. We will post our first in-studio guest here in our brand new studio. It's my friend, Alan Jackson. We're going to talk about so many things on the legal front. And immediately right now, today, is the Caleb Flynn sentencing, okay, and victim impact statements. The parents, the family, maybe Caleb himself, they say, although probably not since he's going to try and appeal. Yeah, we'll be live streaming in about just almost two hours, right? Noon Pacific, 3 p.m. Eastern, we're going to live stream the sentencing of Caleb Flynn as we have all along. Please come back. You'll see the notification hop in there. But yes, I saw that Alan Jackson will be in the house and we're going to talk about man crush on Alan. You're darn right about it. And I ain't going to apologize for it. You know what that means? After we do the interview, the martini is right down the street. Alan likes a Vesper. So do I. Guys, thanks for being with. Please hit subscribe if you're new to us. We appreciate you being here. Subscribe and notification and like and all of that. See you in a couple hours for the live stream of Caleb Flint. That is it right now for this edition of Hot Money. Feel a little more shallow.
