Getting an Associate Degree at 16 | How to Get a Head Start in Life | Donovan Chan | DDN Ep 46

Most 17-year-olds are told to go to college and figure life out as they go. Donovan Chan did the opposite. By 16 he had already finished high school and earned a college associate's degree, graduated valedictorian, landed in his school's Hall of Fame, and bought himself roughly four years of a head start. His secret isn't a genius-level shortcut. It's purpose, and a willingness to do the work everyone else is scared of.

In this episode of the Don't Do Nothing Podcast, the youngest guest in DDN history breaks down how he mapped out his degree like a system, why he thinks a whole generation is drifting instead of driving, and how growing up a third-generation Scientologist shaped the way he thinks. He also lays out his plan to help grow his family's business, the Durable Slate Company, into a billion-dollar company, and why he still finds time for six fantasy football leagues.

This one goes deep on purpose, discipline, and the trap of instant gratification. Donovan and the guys get into why religion and a real sense of purpose matter, what he thinks is broken about the mental health industry, how the Purification Program and the personality test opened his eyes, and what Scientology looks like when you actually grow up inside it.
