I found something that is so spot on, so important to connect with and it comes from Clint Hurdle (@ClintHurdle13) where he shares this life lesson for all of us: “Understanding comes from taking the time to listen, not waiting for your turn to talk.” Taking the time to really connect with others to understand them - it’s missing in almost all aspects of life. I know it’s missing in my life because there are plenty of times where I’m not listening too well. I could blame it on getting older and my hearing might be going away a bit, but really it’s me not focusing on other people. I have been lightly trying to do a better job at this lately, but really I need to put more effort into this process. Talk about a game changer with people.. This goes right along with the reminder that we have two ears and one mouth and that we should be using them in that proportion or even more. Listen twice as much as we speak. You will stand out as a valuable person, since so many people struggle with this. Thanks for listening.
