Different Contexts, Common Aspirations - Jada Ramnath

Returning home as a recent graduate with a degree, Jada had lots of enthusiasm for her chosen field of communication, but not much ‘on the job’ experience that would help her transition confidently into the world of work locally or regionally. She used her internship with the UN Information Centre for the Caribbean to strengthen as well as diversify her skills and happily, discover the area of communication for which she is most passionate.

As we observe International Youth Day 2026 on August 12, UNIC Caribbean is continuing our inquiry into the experience of Caribbean Youth in the regional labour market. In our 5-part podcast series, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations”, former UNIC Caribbean Public Information and Digital Communications Interns share their perspectives on the importance of internships.
