@PCTunney: So very Very dragon esque episode, if you will. I'm okay with that.
Dave Ungar: It it it was very dragon centric and and I'm okay with that too, since that is, you know, that is what the show is about. Supposedly it's about dragons. And ⁓ yeah, man, we got all sorts of dragon action going on on this episode, man. And and man First off, ⁓ the elephant in the room. There is nobody with no shirt on here today again. DJ is still he's shirtless somewhere, but it ain't here, Tunny.
@PCTunney: He's got an NXT show to go to tonight.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, that's true, I guess, man. I I guess we can let that go. Yeah. They don't show up at ⁓ they don't show up as much as they used to. So ⁓ so that's cool. But yeah, Deege is not here tonight. He does have an NXT show to go to. ⁓ I think he's like one episode behind us too, but ⁓ he'll get caught up. Hopefully, and I'm really going to press on his ass this week. You gotta be here for the season finale, man. I mean it's got
@PCTunney: You'd say it. Imagine he'll I hope we'll we'll find a time next week, one of the days.
Dave Ungar: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So ⁓ but of course that is not to say I mean look, the man, the myth, the legend himself, P C Tunny is here tonight to help me out. Yeah, you that's right. Yeah, PC Tunny, the commissioner of all things chair shot related, here tonight to help break down the penultimate episode. And for those you who aren't so versed in the English language, penultimate means next to last. Just I'm just gonna get it out there, man. People accuse me of using big words and shit. So I just wanna get that out there. ⁓ Tunny, let me I want to go to you first on this one. Your overall thoughts on this episode. I know we thought okay, big battles and all sorts of stuff going on, and there was some of that, but Your overall thoughts on this episode and where we left off heading into the season finale.
@PCTunney: You know, the the pieces on the board started moving, right? And they started moving all over the place. ⁓ and we're gonna we're gonna account for all those moves. And it was nice to see a progression in nearly every single storyline, to be honest with you. Right? Like every like aspect of anything that's going on, something happened. It's it's like a it was like a Friday episode for a ⁓ daytime soap opera where nothing really happens Monday. Like if you just If you have a daytime soap opera and you know the characters and you just watch Fridays, you're fine. ⁓ you know, it's kinda like wrestling. If you just watch the they do such a good job with the vignettes of recapping what happened the last month, if you do watch that you're pretty much caught up. But this was so great because everything had subtle and some not so subtle progression.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, there was there was not a lot of wasted motion in this episode, that's for sure. Everything had a purpose, everything had a plan. ⁓ and where we leave off at the end with one of the I mean, one of the most dynamic and stunning scenes in the history of the series so far. It was just like, wait, what? ⁓ we will get to that, of course, as we move along here today. ⁓ for those of you guys tuning in, watching us live, feel feel free to jump in the chat, let us know what's going on, hit that like button while you're out here. If you like what you're watching, it does help the ⁓ algorithm and lets the people know that we're doing something right here on Game Gone Wrong. But yeah, let's look at this episode kind of main big picture sort of focus to start off with. So ⁓ the episode title is The Dragon in Winter. Now, I'm not sure exactly which dragon we're talking about, but but I think the big thing about this is the dragons return. And the dragons are the biggest the biggest focal point of this episode. I mean, everything really ⁓ revolves around the dragons. And the dragons are central and the dragon riders are sort of on the periphery, but they become a big part of this whole ⁓ story as we move forward here on episode seven as well. But you know, the dragons are just they're not just the weapons. There's the emotional bond. You know, I mean, whatever I want to say about the Dragon Riders, that critical bond between the Dragon Riders and the Dragons is is It's ever present in this episode, and you see it all over the place. ⁓ you know, and I mean, we've spent a several episodes talking about the insurgency, the murders of the gold cloaks, ⁓ Orman plotting, ⁓ Aegon in exile with Alice, ⁓ Rayna hiding out, Eamon is, you know, recovering. ⁓ no, I'm sorry, Eamon is at Heron Hall with Alice, Aegon is in exile. ⁓ we all get this wild stuff, and then we get. The big reveal of like a a dragon that's a prominent part of the books. And I know like last week we had somebody in here last week was asking us about the books. And we have a big kind of like sort of a divergence from book to ⁓ screen on this one. ⁓ and then just the shocking return of a dragon that we thought we'd never see again. ⁓ so Renana st renera still has the throne, but episode seven. Starts to show you know this perceived advantage that she has in sheer numbers of dragons and dragon riders ⁓ starts to whittle away in this episode, right, Tunny?
@PCTunney: Sure, it it technically, right? But you know can all these other people get their shit together is is is the the the questions to be answered at this last episode, I think, and and or maybe it becomes a bigger question as we head into the final season. hopefully that's sooner than later. Hopefully we get that by twenty twenty eight.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, yeah. I'm I mean I jeez, who knows when they're gonna start filming that. Probably sometime 2027. I'd say ⁓ we'll get it. Twenty twenty-eight will be a good time for this final season to return. I think that's what they're projecting. So we're gonna be waiting a little while. But let let's get into this episode. Let's start digging into this thing because there's a lot to cover. ⁓ we'll start off talking about Helena and Dreamfire, and this is the dragon that So this is straight from the book, okay. ⁓ in Fire and Blood, Helena is a dragon rider with a serious bond to her dragon, which is called Dream Fire. But the show kind of took a different approach to this. And Helena fears what the dragons do to people and to the world. So ⁓ the show kind of presents Helena as someone who shares Viserys. Viserys was always kind of, you know, concerned about dragons and and that sort of thing. So She's sharing that concern about dragons. ⁓ she thinks, okay, these are too powerful, they're world-altering. And, you know, Helena's kind of a simple person. ⁓ but, you know, you get this scene in the beginning of this, which is Helena, who's a dreamer, and she has this visions like sequence in which she actually gets on dreamfire in the dragon pit, and she watches this dragon just unleash all fucking sort of hell and dragon fire on all these small folks.
@PCTunney: Well, she she commands it too.
Dave Ungar: She does. That's right. She's the one who commands it. So, ⁓ and you know, in this moment where you're looking at this and she's kind of been so averse to wielding that sort of power, ⁓ visually it's a thrilling moment because you actually get to see this dragon that a lot of people who are fans of the books have been waiting to see for so long, Dreamfire. ⁓ but you know, from the emotional standpoint and the jarring nature of this is is really a a a not so subtle slap in the face because You get to see Helena dragon riding. and she's not liberating anything, but she's part of the ⁓ tyranny of everything that's going on all around her. So, you know, Helena is in this rare position that she's a Targaryen. ⁓ but she kind of understands the true nature of dragons better than a lot of the other ones. A lot of the other ones look them as as simply for power, prestige, ⁓ you know, your prophecy, your lineage, that sort of thing. But Helena looks at these things as like, well, they're a temptation, they can be escalation. We've talked about so many times how dragons are like weapons of mass destruction. And she knows better than anybody, it seems like they are really kind of an apocalypse with wings, you know. And it's it's a really cool scene. And I mean, the when I first watched it, I'm like, what the fuck is going on here? But then you realize once you start digging into it and you start looking at the lore of the books, ⁓ my God, that's Dreamfire, that's Helena. She could be a real problem if she decides to embrace you know, if if the Emperor gets to her Tunny and she goes down the dark path, ⁓ that could be problems for people.
@PCTunney: I think the problem was would just be if she can get her ass on a dragon. I don't think sh she's gonna have she's she she seems to me like she's not gonna answer to anybody, right? You know, once once she's given that power she's been through so much, so who whose side would she be on is really interesting. You know, everybody that's even on her side has betrayed and lied to her, right? So very much a wild card, one hundred percent. But just and I think the the
Dave Ungar: Right.
@PCTunney: The episode name is because at the end then I think she has this dream where she's with her kids or something and then it starts snowing.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, yeah. I mean like that kind of
@PCTunney: So I think that that meaning like Helena's a dragon now kind of and you know, in winter there.
Dave Ungar: Or is it like the whole winter is coming, the whole ⁓ mantra of Game of Thrones, you know? Yeah.
@PCTunney: Yeah. Right. And and they've had they've had you there's been subtle hints at it too, like, you know, it's getting cold somewhere or something like that. There there's been talks, so it's it's insane. It's it's just it's so fucking good, you know. I mean this season has delivered so ⁓ consistently, episode after episode, like you you wouldn't have thought that this season could continue to be as good as it was, considering the like the first two episodes were absolutely insane.
Dave Ungar: Sure. Right.
@PCTunney: I mean one of the greatest two episode opens for any series I can imagine, regardless of genre. So ⁓ and let me just say this though, before I forget, Pimp Bandwagon Nerds, Dave's gonna be ⁓ gone this week, ⁓ out on assignment, so it's gonna be Patrick and I. And we're doing our we're gonna do like a bandwagon nerds five and five, our ⁓ our top five shows all time and then like bottom five shows, like or you know, I I might be like
Dave Ungar: They've done
@PCTunney: Lock and key o'go there, even though I like the beginning of it. The end of it kind of ruined it. So I might go in that direction. So tune in. ⁓ No, not I see, I never really watched Scrubs. I kind of watched a few episodes. That's it. So I'm gonna keep it more ⁓ I don't want to give anything else away, but ChairShop Media, YouTube, live, two PM Eastern Sunday, and then Chairshot Radio Network Monday morning. So had to plug that real quick because obviously this will be my number one series of all time. I I consider everything together.
Dave Ungar: Scrubs is making your list for sure, so Yeah. But Yes.
@PCTunney: Game of Thrones, seven nine and ⁓ dragon.
Dave Ungar: Seven nine. by the way, by assignment, Tunny means I am escaping the heat and going to the coast. So that with the wife, she's wanting to get the hell out of town and I am going to say, Let's go, baby. ⁓ you mentioned ⁓ Helena showing some surprising strength in a few places. You see that when Renera is really leaning on her as her sister. Tell me what's going on, tell me what you've seen. And she, Helena just doesn't buckle, you know.
@PCTunney: brought that up last week is one of the things I was looking forward to see is you know, how would that interaction go and we didn't have to wait long. I think that was one of the first scenes like Elena was having a dream. Yeah. Fucking what do you want, bitch?
Dave Ungar: she wakes up from the yeah, she wakes up from her dream. And Renee Resinner's staring at her. Hey, what are you doing over there? Yeah, it's you did not have to wait long at all to see that kind of come to come to pass. So ⁓ so yeah, that's some cool stuff. And a nice homage to the book. The book's right there at the beginning of this, which we did talk about a little bit last week. The book versus what's on the screen. And here's one of those interesting moments where you get something from the book presented in a different sort of way. And I I'm okay with it. I mean it's kinda cool. ⁓ let's I mean All right, so I don't know how we want to do this, but you know what? Let's let's instead of instead of saving the very end for the very end, what do you say we kind of like let let's talk about Aegon, right? Let let's reverse this and talk about this at the front end just just to switch it up.
@PCTunney: I literally was like cheering for him because of how everything went down and like I I I literally remember thinking to myself, you are smiling and standing up yelling yes for someone that you've ultimately despised and is the complete opposite of who I've been rooting for the entire time. But
Dave Ungar: I Yes Yes and Right.
@PCTunney: The way it happens and the way everything goes down and the call back to how he thought his dragon was actually alive the first time he came by. And the fact that he makes the smart enough move to say, you know what, at least I will die like a king by my dragon and they can tell stories about that instead of the other shit. And now I mean honestly, dude, I was I was cheering like Zack Ryder won the fucking ladder match for the ice title at WrestleMania. I mean yeah, you know, like
Dave Ungar: Yeah. Or Chelsea Gre Chelsea Green won the title at SummerSlam. Yeah.
@PCTunney: I was I was I was it was really awesome. I mean
Dave Ungar: Yeah, so let's talk about Aegon because th this this is and I I mean, and you're absolutely right. You come to the point where somebody who you have absolutely despised for two and six-eighths of a series, and you do find yourself kind of cheering for him in this moment, and then it you get the big payoff. I mean, in a most unexpected way. So Aegon's on the road. ⁓ you know, he has spent most of the season broken. Humiliated, hiding with Laris, ⁓ listening to Thailand, all this other stuff, trying to decide am I still a king or am I just a burnt, crippled man with a lost crown? So in episode seven, they realize that ⁓ forces loyal to Ranera are coming this way. And there's no way to escape, there's no way to get to where they're going. So they're presented with a choice. ⁓ essentially He can run with Laris and go and they and they can get away. And and if the he goes with Larissa, he's gonna get away. But Aegon makes the you know, the heroic choice to stand his ground. Like you said, Tunny, he decides I'm gonna die as a king, right? And so he's gonna make this stand and Tyland decides to stand with him. Because they know ⁓ because they specifically mentioned Tyland by name. They're looking for Tyland Lannister, so he's obviously not gonna run. ⁓ Laris, of course, takes the coward's way out and he's like, I'm out of here, I'm a cripple, there's nothing I can do, which is probably true. Okay. So we get to the climactic moment of this episode, which, yes, for those of you listening that just tuned in, know you haven't missed anything. We're just covering this here because I don't know, it kind of makes sense, you know, to cover, talk about Aegon here before we get into some of the weirder stuff of this episode. So, ⁓ Aegon stands his ground, these guys are mocking him, and it seems like he's gonna die the same way Cole did, hopefully not, you know, with an arrow to the face. He makes his final defiant speech, and you're like, Yeah, boy, go get him. And ⁓ the peep, the this force that's arrayed against him, they start to cower and they start to back away. And Aegon thinks it's his words that have had this massive impact upon these people, and they're scared of him as a king. And You see this motion going on behind him. And you realize, okay, it's a dragon. Now the first thing that jumped in my mind, Tiny, was Vagar. I said, Vagar is coming to Rex. You did you think the same thing?
@PCTunney: I was gonna jump in on you a couple of times as you were going through this and I'm like, I'll just we I I and then I'm like I see where he's going, I'll wait till he gets there. And that's it the first thing I thought was Vagar. I'm like, ⁓ shit. And and like I thought Vagar was drawn to Agon because Agon was exuding that confidence that Amen would have, right? And was like, Hey, I I s and even that, like, I'm sure Vagar knows who Aegon is, right? Like we talked about how smart the dragons are, like, they know.
Dave Ungar: May yeah. Sure. Well, think about it. Vagar presumably killed Sunfire and Aegon. So, you know, it was a it was Vagar on on Amund where they took this out. So
@PCTunney: But I thought I thought Bagar was coming to help Egon though. That's what I thought. Yeah.
Dave Ungar: That's what I did too. I thought because what it what is actually going on was so far removed from my mind that I did not think this was a remotely possible. But
@PCTunney: And they told us too. They told us when he came through and visited the dragon, he's like, You're still alive. And Laris like, We gotta fucking go. And that moment they kinda they kinda did have to go in that moment.
Dave Ungar: Right. Yeah, or you're gonna Yeah, or you're gonna rot with him, that sort of thing. ⁓ and I mean looking back hindsight, sunfire did kind of look more like sleeping than dead. But ⁓ what happens is in this whole thing, what we thought was Vagar is Sunfire, Aegon's dragon, is not dead. Now he's badly disfigured, he's been badly burned, he's a beat-up dragon. Just like his rider, exactly. And
@PCTunney: Just like his rider. Just like his rider, Egon. Same thing.
Dave Ungar: He comes out of here, and man, when Aegon turns around and sees Sunfire, and just like it is massively emotional because whatever you think about Aegon up to this point, the fact that the dragon survived and came to his rescue in this absolute moment of need. ⁓ and it doesn't matter how terrible a person Aegon is, and I think we've established that, right? Everybody's basically told him to his face you are a terrible person and a terrible man. Sunfire doesn't give a shit about any of that stuff. ⁓
@PCTunney: Do you think Egon's changed though? I think I think like he's always gonna he's he's a Targaryen, he he in his mind is is the king. He's always gonna have that. But I think he has become a slightly better person for what was said to him and because the way he went about just taking it, you know. He he just took it and and it's like, okay, I I you know what, there's maybe things I can do better. We'll see.
Dave Ungar: K Right. It's not redemption, but it's like resurgence, a reactivation. Like this, like this this episode title for the podcast is called Risen from the Ashes. And this is exactly what happens in this moment right here. Aegon and Sunfire rise from the ashes. I mean, it is basically it is the Phoenix Force going on right here. They they he Aegon is reborn in this moment. He is once again a dragon rider. He's got some power. He is not this powerless cripple anymore out here.
@PCTunney: Does he does he fly to Tumbleton?
Dave Ungar: I don't know. We're gonna find out this week. But I certainly think like now here's the thing. I don't think we're gonna see the same sort of Aegon. He's learned a lot from this or whole ordeal. Being out on the road has taught him a lot about himself, about the world. I think he'll be a wiser king and he'll be a smarter king and probably a more dangerous king because of what he's learned. And now he's got his dragon back. He's certainly not gonna take that for granted. ⁓
@PCTunney: Like I would love to see him roll into Tumbleton, right? He would have well he'd have a new dragon c he'd have two people that can ride dragons. Technically we'll get to who the ⁓ other person is that, you know, switched over to the NWO here this week. ⁓ but I would love to see the interaction between Agon and Ormond and Ormond's cards being completely ⁓ unshuffled because I think Darren would absolutely rejoice in the fact of Agon showing up and cling to him and be like, 'cause he doesn't want to be a king. And we're we're gonna get to all that too. I know that's what happens when we start at the end, we kind of cover everything there, but those those interactions would be something I would love to see next episode. And yeah, I mean I'm jumping the gun here, but we're that's where we're at.
Dave Ungar: Well yeah, yeah. No, no, it it's it's perfect because I think I I think it just makes a little bit more sense to go at it this way because there is so many things you can plug into this. So I think the big thing that we see as this episode goes along, Sunfire surviving. This changes the board. You know, we talked about the pieces on the board moving. Now we're changing the board completely because when you start looking at the the math of the dragons, Renera's had this big advantage, or so she thinks. But now you've got this problem. Now you've got The Greens, you know, the blacks are one thing, but now the Greens, I mean, whatever's going on with the Greens is another story. But you've got Aegon and Sunfire. They're still there. And Renera has no clue. She thinks Aegon is dead, or that Sunfire is dead, or that there's no chance of any of that stuff coming back. Amund is Aemon. Vagar is still out there somewhere. She's doing her own thing. No one knows what Vagar's purpose or where exactly she is. And they did confirm this episode it's a she. They said it she several times on this episode. So Vagar is a she. You got Daron and Tessarian. So they're sitting sitting over there in Tumbleton. ⁓ and then as we'll discuss at the end, you've got a heel turn or could be a face turn.
@PCTunney: Why don't we just Yeah, why don't we just go backwards in this episode? 'Cause the next smartest thing from where we are and started with the with the grand finish was that Ulf Ulf turned he Ulf turned. He he he was WCW and now he went NWO.
Dave Ungar: I I mean we Yeah. Yeah, let's Let's talk about Ulf. So ⁓ I think we've been building to this, so there's no real surprise that Ulf the White turns against Ranera. And and Orman is smart as fuck because he plays into this perfectly. They're sitting around the fire, and Orman is saying, you know, the way Damon humiliated you, the way Ranera's court treats you as a tool rather than a noble equal. ⁓ you know, you're a man with a dragon, you still have no castle, you're still not a lord, you've got no respect. So he offers Ulf what he always wanted, which was status in Lordship. And he says, I mean, I can even offer you Driftmark, which is a nod because of what's going on with Corless, which we'll get to. ⁓ you know, Ulf's response is doesn't he say something like no, they will burn, or something along those lines at the end of this thing. So ⁓ this is a I mean, but now you've got another dragon going over to. the green side of the ledger, right? And Ulf was never an ideal ideological person. You know, he doesn't have the greatest of morals. He was in this for the fame, the fortune, the lordship, and ⁓ cool, I get a dragon along the way. ⁓ you know, he he never really he never really joined Ranera because he had this great belief in her claim to the throne. ⁓ you know, the red sewing gave him access to power. Orman understands all that, offers him the social recognition that Ranera and Damon Would never fully give him. So the betrayal isn't it's not shocking. ⁓ because I you know, I mean him switching sides doesn't really surprise l surprise me. But it's probably gonna be a surprise to Renera because and Damon, because you guys should have seen this shit coming, and they probably didn't.
@PCTunney: Who's the other new rider that they w he was exchanging with? I can't remember his name, who got into it with his wife and Tumbleton.
Dave Ungar: shit. Keep going.
@PCTunney: Why can't we remember these stupid things? So anyway, the thing about it is also Yeah, Hugh. I don't know. I don't know. That's well that's that's ⁓ that's Arlen of Pennytree.
Dave Ungar: Isn't it Hugh or something like that? Sir Hugh? Yeah. Yeah. That's what she said. Hugh the hammer. So that's right. Keep going, man.
@PCTunney: here's the thing. Ulfs Dragon Silver Wing?
Dave Ungar: Mm-hmm.
@PCTunney: ⁓ I ⁓ just I gotta s find out this name here as we're sitting here and why is this Yeah, it is Hugh the Hammer. So just tell me what the dragon's name is already. For fuck's sake.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, I don't know what Hughes Dragon is. I know like you're saying, Alphonse Vermithory.
@PCTunney: Vermathor Vermathor. So Vermathor and Silverwing, and we've already seen this, are in love with each other. They're mates. Right? We've seen that like playful interaction with them, like teasing affection to each other while those two were switching positions at Dumbleton, right? And we talked about how smart dragons are. At some point Ulf will be killed by his own dragon, which will return to Renera's stable of dragons. That's my prediction.
Dave Ungar: Right.
@PCTunney: How about that? Because that's what Ulf deserves.
Dave Ungar: He does. and
@PCTunney: 'Cause you think you think Silverwing's gonna fight Vermithor when those two end up in battle against each other? No way.
Dave Ungar: I don't think so. I don't think because here's the other thing is is and I mean and this is a direct tie to what we're about to talk about, Reina and Sheepstealer and the tragedy of that scene. ⁓ but you know, with Sheepstealer being a wild dragon, that's one thing, but then you also look at these dragon riders who are not of nobility, and we've said that numerous times. So they're not fully trained in these arts and these things that are going on, and they don't really understand how to get the best out of these dragons. ⁓ and like you're saying. When it comes down to it, you know, Ulf and Hugh may want to say, hey, go at each other, but these dragons are gonna like, the fuck you want me to go after? I I'm in love with this thing. That's my mate. Get off my back. Get off my ass. ⁓ so I think, you know, like you're saying, there could be a significant sort of shift there when when that happens in a bigger a bigger conflict. But I would not be surprised to see honestly, both those dragons turn against, you know, Ulf and Hugh. May get wiped out by their dragons before it's all sudden. If like what you're saying is true and they get forced into battle against each other, and the two dragons are just like, fuck you guys. You know, ⁓ we're not gonna do all this stuff. Because we kind of even see well, okay, so let's let's tie this together because this is actually working out fairly well, doing it in this weird order. Raiden Sheep Stealer and that whole thing. I mean, this is one of the biggest scenes of this episode and of the season. ⁓ so Yeah, we know that Raina's been hiding out with Sheep Stealer. ⁓ so we know Sheep Stealer's a wild dragon, not trained like the other dragons. ⁓ so this has created a situation where Sheep Stealer has been a liability because of what happened in episode one. ⁓ so these dragons, you know, Damon goes and he goes to Lady Jane and he's like, Where is she? And ⁓ she was spotted. Baila and I think ⁓ Moondancer spotted her and that sort of thing. So Damon wants to go and find out what the hell's going on with his daughter. as he's A as he's ta as Damon is talking to Raina, Rhanira and Adam, because Ranera's told, Hey, Sheep Stealer was sighted with a rider. And at that point, go ahead, Tony.
@PCTunney: Right. Adam and Adam and Bela saw Sheep Stealer, reported it, and Renera's like, All right, Adam, take me there.
Dave Ungar: Right, right. So they get on, they go, they fly. So as Damon is trying to talk to Raina, and ⁓ Damon's ⁓ dragon is Craxis, right? I think that's the name of his dragon. And and you and and you do see it here where he's having a little bit of difficult ⁓ Craxes is much better trained and knows his dragon rider much better. But even Craxes is having a little bit of a of some not defiance, but s some concern because hey, there's a wild fucking dragon across from me. I need to be on guard about this master.
@PCTunney: Is
Dave Ungar: ⁓ and meanwhile, Damon's kind of cozying up and trying to talk to his daughter. So Ranera and Adam show up, and I mean, it is it is a a devastating scene here. ⁓ and Ranera realizes that Damon has lied to her. And Damon's trying to explain what was going on. And as this conversation becomes more heated, as you would expect it would, the dragons start to pick up on the energy of their dragon riders. Combined with the fact that we've got a wild dragon here, and it's a full-on fight between all these dragons. ⁓ and they start, and it's not just all of them against Sheepsealer, they start going against each other because dragon instinct takes over, they're in a heightened state of fury, they're agitated. So you've got all this shit going on. And ⁓ I don't I mean, at the end, I know like at one point Damon is commanding Caraxis to kill Sheep Stealer. ⁓ I don't think Sheep Stealer dies, though, does it? It's very badly wounded and it you know, kind of wobbles off into the into the the veil some. I don't think Sheep Stealer's dead, but ⁓ this one was hard to watch, man, because you've got all your favorite characters or a lot of your favorite characters in one place. You've got, you know, anybody who loves the show loves the dragons. I mean, you don't want to see the dragons get hurt. You know it's inevitable because we know what where we're gonna end up. Yeah, we know that none survived this whole thing.
@PCTunney: None.
Dave Ungar: ⁓ but man, this was this was tough to watch. I was glued to my set and just tense. So tense for this fight, like who's gonna live, who's gonna die? At the end all the dragons take a beating. ⁓ but none of them are as far as I can tell, killed. ⁓ but go ahead.
@PCTunney: You're you're you're so right. You're so absolutely right. You hit it on the head. We root for the dragons the whole time, right? Now seven nine may not have any. well they can't, right? There's none. There's none alive then, right? Because they're all gonna be Yeah. So we we were devastated when, you know, we lost one of the dragons in Game of Thrones to you know to the to the night king, right?
Dave Ungar: Right, right. The Yeah, right.
@PCTunney: And that was horrible. But now here you have C Rax takes a pretty good darn few blows and is wounded a little bit, you know, from Sheep Stealer. Sea Smoke helps it escape. Reina's grabbed by Renera. You're coming with me. ⁓ Cirax flees. Adam takes Sea Smoke to escort. And yeah, like you said, Damon's thrown from Caraxes in the struggle as well. But ⁓
Dave Ungar: Yeah, right.
@PCTunney: For everything that I assessed watching it and then spoken with to AI and and other things, ⁓ Cheapstealer is still alive and it it makes sense considering what we've seen with Egon and and Sunfire, right?
Dave Ungar: Yeah, I mean geez.
@PCTunney: We're learning ladies and gentlemen, we could you should have called this one the episode where we relearn all the dragons' names.
Dave Ungar: It almost makes you wonder about Jace's dragon. Is it really dead? Did it really drown? I don't know. You know, I mean, maybe how how hard is it to kill these dragons off, you know?
@PCTunney: Yeah, that one I think so. I mean they need they're not I don't they're dragons, they're not amphibians, right? So they don't they can't breathe under water. As far well yeah I I Well, I don't know, a dragon that's fueled with fire seems like it wouldn't be able to survive water.
Dave Ungar: As far as we know. I mean, after Sunfire's Sunfire came back, anything's possible at this point. Right. And I mean, lost in all this, as fond as we are of the dragons, and we're obviously the dragons are the big thing that we're interested in, ⁓ you gotta feel bad for Reyna because all she wanted was this dragon. She wanted her dragon, and chasing that dream, good God, what sort of consequences has that had? I mean, now you've got everything that happened with Jace, you've got this big battle, you've got this big rift that has now happened between Renera and Damon. And I mean that's a massive issue as well. So ⁓ well
@PCTunney: Is it though I think that relationship will never change because honestly then she gets into it with Masaria because you always have it all for Damon. You know, I mean, how many times has Ranera looked at somebody and been like, You really think me that bad of a person? Like she said it to the to the ⁓ to the guy who locked her in the room, right? Like what good is that gonna do, right? Like Alison, you know, Elena having the child, do you really think me that? You know? ⁓ so she does it again and it's interesting. Maybe she turns into that like it's been kind of prophesized or what she needs to do. So that's I I think Damon's gonna be where Damon's gonna be, but at the same time Masaria seems to be slipping in in ⁓ even though she you know, did what she she kind of gave the queen some pleasure and kind of fulfilled the prophecy of Well the funny thing was is she met with one of the people from the city and was like, Bring your
Dave Ungar: Some oral pleasure, Tony. There it is.
@PCTunney: things to me, your problems to me. And she ended up just calling her a whore. And well, that thing you turn around and she's out whoring it up to keep her up status, right?
Dave Ungar: Yeah. She ⁓ she did ⁓ she certainly lived up to her reputation. That's that's for sure. ⁓ one of the ⁓ weird thing about this is ⁓ it's interesting that Ray Renera, when that whole red sowing thing in season two where she gets the commoners to be dragon rider, she thought this will solve my problem. Maybe, but she kind of created a bigger one now, didn't she? I mean, because this is now turning against her.
@PCTunney: The world's oldest profession. Well you know you've heard of the song Mo Money Mo Problems, right? It it it actually originated. That's a cover. It's actually Mo Dragon's Mo Problems is from it when it started back from Ovalia. So it's an Ovalerion cover.
Dave Ungar: Yeah. ⁓ and ⁓ I mean Ranera tries to get the explanation from Damon about what happened and why, and Damon gives her an explanation, sort of, but it's not very satisfactory. Ranera responds by throwing the skull into the fire. And and like you're saying, I mean, Ranera and Damon's relationship is such that is this really gonna make a difference to as far I mean it's not exactly a marriage of love that's going on here, it's a marriage of convenience and power. So Is that gonna make much of a difference? Probably not. But you know, what happens with Reyna now?
@PCTunney: Well, she doesn't have anything bad happen with Raina. She's just like, Here, go sit in your room until I figure it out, you know? And i I think one of the most touching parts of this season was Bela coming, and you could tell right away. Bela was just like, I'm so fucking happy to see you. You don't even know and Reina really needed that. So it's just it's it's too bad that she didn't just go and and
Dave Ungar: Yeah. Yeah. She did.
@PCTunney: you know, when sh the first time she saw Damon and was just like, Hey, here's what happened. I'm scared shitless. You know, instead she's out looking for Vagar, getting herself caught. Lady Jane's had enough. Damon had to say, please to Lady Jane. He almost fucking had his nuts come up throughout, you know, go into his body and come out of his mouth as you know what's also hilarious is Damon the the walks right up to that that that bottomless pit every time he's there. Just to show that yeah you're this this doesn't
Dave Ungar: Yeah. Yeah. I don't give a shit.
@PCTunney: This doesn't mean anything to me, by the way, right here.
Dave Ungar: Right, right. Yeah, i I don't give a crap. My dragon will come and catch me and burn your whole fucking house down, so
@PCTunney: I have not seen one person in the whole Game of Thrones d be that, you know, whimsical that right neck on that ledge.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, yeah, he doesn't care. You know, and that and that's one of the things you got to respect about Damon is like whatever he's convicted about, you know, what his conviction is, he just doesn't give a shit. So he's gonna he's gonna do that. ⁓ let's yeah, let's talk about Ormond because he's ⁓ he's much playing a much bigger game. You know, he's got the insurgents, he's got propaganda, he's using coins and murder and and all this other stuff going on. And of course he's got Coreless as well. ⁓ Now if if Ulf is truly with him, ⁓ the balance of power shifts to him a little bit, but you know, it it's funny. He's using he's using Corless and this is an interesting point as well, where he cuts off Corless's finger with the ring on it and sends it over to Adam or Alan, excuse me, and
@PCTunney: Thing the funny thing is is that happens after the dinner and we don't even th I don't was there attention paid to it at the dinner at all? Like there was no showing of it. He didn't have a hand wrapped or anything, I don't think.
Dave Ungar: No. Yeah, I I did.
@PCTunney: Unless he decided to do it afterwards because he asked to be dismissed from the dinner.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, I I mean he did ask to be dismissed, he wouldn't eat and they were talk ⁓ and I mean and
@PCTunney: Or Orman was talking all that shit too. He wasn't he didn't want to hear that. You know, he couldn't do nothing about it.
Dave Ungar: Yeah. Yeah, I mean, whatever whatever Corelis' issues have been with Ranera, which there have been plenty this year, ⁓ he ⁓ he was not embracing or entertaining any of the bullshit that Orman was trying to sell him. And I think like you're saying, ⁓ you know, he ends up getting a finger cut off and it gets sent back to his son. And, you know, at that point you realize, okay. Now they're going to think the sea snake is dead. Obviously, Orman is saying, well, you know, as he as he makes that promise, Ulf, that.
@PCTunney: No, I d I don't think that's death. I think that's prisoner. We we ha that we have this person. Here's here's proof that we have this person. Otherwise it if if it was gonna be for d death Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
Dave Ungar: True. Send us they send his head. That make that makes sense. ⁓
@PCTunney: Think about the worst movie of all time, Geely with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. They they send ⁓ Pinky Toad to say, We got your person.
Dave Ungar: Do I have to? Think about one of the best movies ever made, seven, and what we got in that fucking thing. What's in the box, Johnny? What is in the box? Yeah.
@PCTunney: What's in the box? What's in the box? ⁓ fun fact, Denzel Washington turned down Brad Pitt's part because he thought it was too dark. And then when he saw it, he went, ⁓ that was really good.
Dave Ungar: Huh. ⁓ wh what was I gonna say? Edward Norton turned down the ⁓ role that ⁓ of the what did he turn down the role of ⁓ Captain Hiller and Independence Day or something like that? I mean, bad idea, bad move.
@PCTunney: Well well speaking of that, Will Smith turned down the Matrix.
Dave Ungar: That actually worked out pretty well, I think. So
@PCTunney: I think people would have I think people would have been I don't think it would have been as well received considering he had already been doing men in black, right?
Dave Ungar: Yes, yes.
@PCTunney: Okay, so that's kinda you know anyway, back to dragons. Sorry about that folks. We are we are bandwagon nerds at heart, by the way. We are we're very we're very nerdy. We're nerdy.
Dave Ungar: No yeah that We're just nerds in general. ⁓ not even bandwagon, just nerds. so, you know, the game that Orman's playing here is is, you know, and it's so funny because he's been so so anti-dragon to Daron, right? Even though Daron has t his own dragon. But, you know, Orman keeps preaching how how ⁓ the dragons are all corruption and they're just power unchecked and it's a absolute power corrupts absolutely and all this bullshit. And then what is he doing on the side as this is all going on? Accumulating dragons. So it's like what a lion sack of shit. But smart. Smart.
@PCTunney: What what what did we say about Orman though? He is who he needs to be around whoever he needs to be when he's around whoever, right? He changes all the time. Right? And and and then if he gets pissed off, he does it behind closed doors with people, you know, like that. Otherwise, you wanna appease the Tumbletons? Appease the Tumbletons. You wanna make sure your warriors are good? Great. You wanna steal somebody from Ronero? ⁓ I love dragons. You wanna keep your
Dave Ungar: Right.
@PCTunney: Nephew. Think it is?
Dave Ungar: They're on, yeah. I think.
@PCTunney: It's Ormin Allison's cousin though, right? And it'd be like your second cousin, basically, would be her her son, I think, something like that. But you wanna you wanna be keep him in a check in a different way? I hate dragons, right? Be fearful because if you use your dragon, you have power over me now. So it's it's all Ormin being whatever Ormin needs to be for whoever he needs to be it for, in my opinion.
Dave Ungar: Think so, yeah. Yeah, I I agree with that. I mean, he's and Orman's an excellent manipulator. He's really good with ⁓ moving his own pe huh.
@PCTunney: He's a chameleon. Well in in a world of dragons, he's a chameleon.
Dave Ungar: It's very true. He changes his color to match the situ. I like that, Tony. Very well done, sir. Excellently well done.
@PCTunney: Not bad, right? Thank you. That was at the that was at the bottom of my third Miller light, by the way.
Dave Ungar: Okay, only your third? Okay. So by the time you get by the time we get to this end of this episode, Tony will be sauced up enough to really make some truly remarkable analytical decisions. But yeah. ⁓ so let's let's let's go into the Amon, Alicent, Alice, this fucking crazy, weird I dude. Alright, so this whole thing starts off with Eamon waking up and his mother shows up and
@PCTunney: Yeah, I I went. ⁓ boy. Goodness.
Dave Ungar: He starts fantasizing that he's getting it on with his mom and you know, they're going all the way and she's like, I'm h in this moment I'll give you a son and then he realizes it's and I don't know, was that Alice really riding him, Tunny, or was that he was he dreaming that?
@PCTunney: was Alice. So so he so as Alice was trying to like I think Alice was getting on him while he was in bed and you know he's still kind of recovering or whatever. And Alice was the one doing it, but in the middle of the dream that's kind of where it went. So that's why it was so shocking to him once he realized it it wasn't because you've i it's funny. Like he really wants it until he actually thinks he's having it. Do you know what saying? Like, before he left for Heronhall, he we talked about the very uncomfortable kiss, right? Because that's what he wants. But in that moment of him having it and waking up and realizing it's Alice, I think he realizes because of the future actions we're about to talk through, the very near future actions, that it's not something that he actually wants.
Dave Ungar: Right, right. And I mean and he's and then like right after this moment he goes and he runs out and then Allison is actually really there and talk about some shitty timing, you know? And ⁓ and Alison, you know, she quickly realizes they had that dinner together and Allison quickly realizes that, okay, Alice is playing him. ⁓
@PCTunney: Yes. Well you're you you missed a couple parts.
Dave Ungar: Well, okay. Fill it in. Go ahead.
@PCTunney: And chronolog chronologically though, right? Because before the dinner, she's walking with him and tells him this big story about how she got there, and then before the dinner, doesn't he kill the guy that brought her there? Yeah. Yeah. And he's like, Sorry, there's things here that I only trust family, right? So I just thought that was important that her her her sword to accomplish what she's trying to accomplish, and ⁓ she's still trying to accomplish it, is now gone.
Dave Ungar: It kills the guard, yeah. You know, and and and Right. Right. No. Right. But she is going to find the dagger on that dead body of the guard. And as she's doing it, she sees these flowers. And these flowers are a a key aspect of what happens with her. And I I don't know. I mean, was she gonna give Amond a little bit of time to see how he was, to see if he'd changed at all? ⁓ and then at that dinner it becomes pretty readily apparent that he has not changed much at all. He's just being But she knows, okay, she's he's being manipulated by this witch or whoever Alice is. And she ⁓ gives him some wine with that has these flowers ground up in it, and apparently it's poisonous. And so when Amon goes to Alice and he staggers in there, help me again. Again, he's like, help me again. and he collapses in front of Alice. Alice is just like, she just rolls her eyes, like, he gotta be fucking kidding me, man. Again.
@PCTunney: like such a fool or such a fool or something as she like you can see you don't see what she's doing but she's moving quickly as if she's gonna save him again because she can and in the meantime Alison is now Alison is now off on her own in at outside the gates of Heronhall trying to figure out what she's gonna do with nothing but a dagger.
Dave Ungar: Right. Right. And yeah, and I mean you gotta figure people are converging on Heron Hall and you know, if i if this was bandwagoners we could run the Deadpool and say, Do we think Allison survives this season? ⁓ or does she get cut down and all this shit that's about to go down?
@PCTunney: I don't know though, anybody that captures her, even if it's the wrong side, would they would they kill her? They would just bring her to Renera. Anybody else is gonna you know it'd have to be someone pretty rogue under the black flag and in some, you know, tiny subsection with power.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, I I could agree with you on that. I think she's got she's got some intrinsic value as a hostage. That's for sure. Whoever gets her. ⁓ because Renera's gonna want her back.
@PCTunney: I don't even think I don't even think Eamon would kill her.
Dave Ungar: No. Aemon is too in love with her in this weird, sick way. But, you know, if it's Aegon who comes upon her with sunfire, what does Aegon do? ⁓ you know, because he Aegon has no idea at this point that his mom set him up to be the sacrificial lamb. Because he was already gone by the time that all happened. ⁓ Aemon, though, it's clear that Alicent just There's there's n I don't know if there's there's certainly no maternal instinct as far as Eamon is concerned because she's actively tried to off him a couple of times now. ⁓ and to her Alice said, Eamon is in the way for her.
@PCTunney: Yeah, but he Honestly though, Eamon like knew that that was poison and he and he drank it anyway. He lit he he fucking looked right at her and just was like okay and drank it. He it's I don't think I don't think there's anybody that Alison is no, I don't Helena's the only one that would kill Alicent, honestly. And well and Al and Alicent's doing everything she's doing to save Helena's son that's not born yet. Right? Isn't that weird?
Dave Ungar: Got it. Yes. Yeah. It is it is very strange. ⁓ but man Other stuff going on in this episode that I mean, because yeah, like you're saying at the end, Eamon is is down and out, but ⁓ Alice is of course gonna save him because you know, he's gonna create a new line of unsullied kings. I think when and Eamon says that at that dinner, and Allison hears this new line of unsullied kings, her mind is con is firmly made up at that point. All right, this son of a bitch needs to die. And I'll worry about No, we are not.
@PCTunney: Yeah, we're not having this witch's babies with my when I don't
Dave Ungar: We are not having the unsullied line of kings coming from this, that's for sure. So ⁓ yeah, she she quickly makes up her mind in that moment, okay, he's gotta die. And she does what she can about that. But yeah, I th I think the other thing is like you we touched upon it, the Renera Miseria sort of ⁓ where Maseria basically like I don't know, kind of seduces her a little bit, and we get some sexy time in this episode too. And I, you know. But like you said, like we talked about, Maseria gets called out for being a whore, and then she goes and she lives up to that because it's going to
@PCTunney: And and then even after thinking gaining favor a few scenes later, she she's getting questioned by why she's always questioning Damon all the time, right? So I mean hello, Mrs. Attitude, by the way. Thanks for the wave in the chat.
Dave Ungar: Right. Is she in here? ⁓ okay. It's not showing up. ⁓ there she is. There she is.
@PCTunney: The only other the only other thing that ⁓ only other thing that we didn't cover and I think we got to literally everything else is the fact that Bayla kind of reveals to Adam that she's with Alan in so many words. He kind of figures it out. Like he hasn't talked to you yet.
Dave Ungar: Sort of, but I get the feeling that I get the feeling that Yeah, I get the feeling like Adam's like, I don't care because it's all about dead ass. And I I think he's yeah, he's kind of looking at that. ⁓ Adam definitely has his own kind of idea and vision for Bayla. And I think he's he's like, I wanna I want a piece of that, I wanna throw my hat in the ring. ⁓ that's pretty evident, I would say, in this scene, don't you think?
@PCTunney: Well Think Bayless made her decision.
Dave Ungar: Has she? I mean, I don't know. She's just she just wants to rebel against this whole notion of anything arranged, right?
@PCTunney: Well didn't No, I think she really likes Alan. Yeah.
Dave Ungar: Alan. She does, but what does getting Corliss's finger in that box do to Alan at this point? Does he just charge headlong into battle, which leaves the door open for Adam? Don't know.
@PCTunney: I mean Yeah, I suppose you could end up with a with a like a a Matt Hardy Edge situation where you know, Matt Hardy's off fighting the battle. Well Edge and Lee are out riding dragons together helping out, right? You know, so
Dave Ungar: Or like ⁓ yeah. Th that's what we're kinda call it riding dragons exactly. So
@PCTunney: I don't know. I still I don't think so. I still think I think Baylor actually likes Alan and I think they'll end up
Dave Ungar: ⁓ I I I absolutely agree with you. But I mean, could we look look like I mean we're bringing a lot of other movies into the conversation? Like Pearl Harbor, right? When Ben Affleck goes and gets shot down and then who's a Josh Hartnett slips right in there and you know, they all fall in love and all that kind of stuff until ⁓ Ben Affleck returns and it's a big clusterfuck. And then the Japanese launch their war. But, you know, are we gonna get something like it when Alan goes off to fight in the war? And but but then again
@PCTunney: What's the ⁓ shit. What's the Tom Hanks movie on the island with Wilson? Yeah, well we're gonna get cast away, he's cast away and then he comes back and Helen hunts with some douchebag, but he's she's still driving the truck around. I mean, come on, what are we doing here, huh? Tom Hanks.
Dave Ungar: Castaway. Yeah, what what are we doing here? But ⁓ no I
@PCTunney: Ron's back you brought it back with him. Come on.
Dave Ungar: But I mean the thing is, Alan's gonna go fight in this war that's coming up. Adam's at one of the Dragon Riders, so you know he's gonna fight in this war, so maybe nobody's left at the end of this thing and Bela ends up with an arranged marriage anyway.
@PCTunney: Well but Adam and Dale have kind of been like partners in dragon ventures, right? As far as Renera's like you two go, you know.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, she'll she'll be with them. Yeah, you two are my big right hand man. ⁓
@PCTunney: Well she's mo they're their most she's sh they those two are her most trusted considering they basically do exactly what she tells them to do. No one else does, right? Hugh the Hammer is not as experienced as them. Well, Adam maybe. Well, that's hard to say. But Hugh's got the whole thing with his wife. Alf's gone, Damon's Damon. Here we are.
Dave Ungar: Dam Damon is at this point, would you say he's probably the biggest wild card in all this? 'Cause I really don't know what Damon's gonna do, but I I I I think it involves Dragonfire.
@PCTunney: No I mean I guess that in in the way of like not a wild card and you know where he stands, right, more than anybody else. He's gonna battle for Renera till the death, but sometimes he's gonna do it be what he believes is right as opposed to what she believes is right. So truly he thinks he's kind of king over you know w I don't know. It it's a weird dynamic. But it is what it is. You know, he's been able to manipulate her since it was not even ⁓ Emma Darcy since it was Millie when it was Millie Alcock, I think was the first time they had an interaction.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, he's Since they were a kid. Yeah. when it was back when it was Supergirl. That's right. They they were ⁓ he was manipulating he was manipulating her back then quite a bit. But I I yeah yeah, I mean I think like you're right. He will fight to Ranera to the bitter end. ⁓ but he's gonna do it his way. And that way may not jive with what Ranera wants. And I think that leads to wherever I mean the the preview for this season finale looks like a big battle's going on. So, you know
@PCTunney: It was super girl.
Dave Ungar: We're gonna start the season with a big battle and it looks like we're gonna end the season with a big battle as well.
@PCTunney: think I think we should be on the precipice. We should be on the cuscipus of of of battle when we end it with with a big interesting reveal on who's aligned with who. I don't think we get to it. I think that's they started this season with the Battle of the Gullet. We can start next season with something hey, let's let's reach to the next step. ⁓ the only thing we didn't mention was Ranera w the other thing I thought of was Ranera in the ⁓ meeting with her ⁓ counsel. ⁓ the master of coin is like the only reason you hired me was to stick it to me and she's like, Yeah, that's not my problem. And then to get rid of ⁓ Lady Frey, she's you here, you can have Heron Hall. Go ahead, go back there, go away, get away from me. Like, yes, cool, bye, yes. As long as you shut the fuck up and leave right now, you can have it. Bye. I've had enough of your fucking shit, cunt.
Dave Ungar: No. Yeah. She's like, I can? She this is the greatest best thing I've heard all day. Yeah, go get the fuck out. Go take take the castle. It's all yours. I'm down. Yeah. I'm Lady Fray and I'm out of here. But ⁓ yeah, like you're saying, the master of coin is not happy with his stature and his standing because he hasn't solved the cash flow problem. And Renera's calling him out on that. And it's like, well, somebody's got to be the scapegoat, and that would be skate, meet, goat, because that is you, sir. ⁓ but I as far as the season finale, I I do I think there's gonna be. I don't know about full-on battle. Certainly we're gonna get a skirmish, a big skirmish out of this. And I mean, if you watch, because I know you don't usually watch it, but the preview for episode eight sure look like a big fight's going on. Now, is it a full-blown battle of the gullet type of scenario or just something local? ⁓ you know, are they battling for Heronhall? Are they battling for Tumbleton? Don't know what it is. ⁓ you know, could be both, but that'd be a much broader, much bigger conflict. ⁓ I tend to agree with you that. This, whatever's gonna happen, is going to bridge between the end of season three and the beginning of season four. This big battle. And if it is a super big battle that we're getting here at the end of season three, then they're gonna do that. That's gonna be a they're it's gonna end on some cliffhanger. Somebody gonna die, Tony. Somebody gonna die in this season finale. And it's probably gonna be somebody important. And I don't know who, but I'm hoping it's not Damon, but I'm a little bit worried about what he's going to do in the state of mind that he's in, where he's ⁓ you know, had a lot of his judgment questioned. He's had his set, he's had his integrity questioned, which it should be. I mean, let's be honest. They if there's somebody whose integrity should be questioned, it's probably Damon. But he's going to be a loose cannon in this in the season finale. Now, where does he go? Who does he fight? I mean, I I would not be surprised for Damon just to do what he thinks should have been done in the first place and burn Tumbleton to the ground. Say, fuck it. This is what I this is what needs to happen.
@PCTunney: Do we see something with, you know, kind of Mostly ⁓ a battle that ends with mostly unresolved kind of status. But then the last thing we see.
Dave Ungar: ⁓ sure. Sure.
@PCTunney: The end of season three Amund on Vagar.
Dave Ungar: That would make sense. I mean, right at the Amon on Vagar, Aegon on Sunfire, and the brothers fucking unite to turn the tide. I I don't know. I mean, how do they get around that whole thing, you know?
@PCTunney: Because have we told Right. Have we told the end of Eamon's story already? Do we leave him just where he is? Does you not even see him in episode the the the f the finale? I I don't know. Is there any of these things that get just get left out? Like we talked about how we covered every single storyline almost, right?
Dave Ungar: I mean how Sure. Right. I mean, okay, we won't see Sheep Stealer in this last episode. That's not happening. I don't even think we're gonna see much of Reina in this last episode. ⁓ Renera for sure, Damon for sure. Aegon, I I you know, that's the thing, is it's like it
@PCTunney: You have to. You have to see what's going on with Aegon.
Dave Ungar: You would have to. ⁓ Eamon, you may be right, and I mean he may be recovering and you don't like maybe this season ends not with Eamon flying into bat but like Vagar showing back up at Heronhall and Eamon reuniting with her. That's a distinct possibility. ⁓ Aegon in Sunfire, you know, does I I mean, dude, think about it. Aegon could end up at King's Landing with Sunfire and say, Give me back my fucking throne.
@PCTunney: Why would he No, there's no that'd be dumb because he doesn't know about any of this stuff. And at the at the at the least he knows Cerax and Caraxes are there. Right? And and he doesn't stand a chance with the with a with a half wounded, not full strength dragon, which I don't and which I don't think Sunfire is as even as big as Karaxes, so it wouldn't even be the biggest ⁓ dragon in the bat I d I don't think so.
Dave Ungar: Well, that's true. Well, like you're saying, and it's he's operating at fifty percent. So yeah, that's not a good good odds.
@PCTunney: Because I think I think Sheep Stealer is the second biggest dragon next to Vagar right now.
Dave Ungar: Might be. Might be. But I mean sheep stealers operating at maybe sixty percent, so
@PCTunney: Unless it's Vermithor. Vermathor would be the bigger of the two dragons between Ulf and and Hugh, right?
Dave Ungar: Got me, man.
@PCTunney: I know Dar we know Darren's dragon is not very big.
Dave Ungar: No, she's a baby, mostly. ⁓ well not a baby, but a a y a younger dragon. ⁓ so yeah, I my best guess for the season finale is it's the fight at Tumbleton. Heron Hall wouldn't make any sense because there's really nothing left there. And if the if the final scenes are any indication it's a big battle, the only place you're gonna get that is a fight at Tumbleton. And then
@PCTunney: All right. You want to play the Deadpool? Here's who dies. Lady f Lady Frey at Heronhall? Or do the Freys actually or do the Freys actually take over Heronhall? Were the Freys in charge of Heronhall in Game of Thrones?
Dave Ungar: Probably. That's a good question. Well, what is what does Walter Frey say, You're dead, your sons are dead, and I'm the Lord of River Run, you know? So maybe.
@PCTunney: So maybe she doesn't make it to Heron Hall and she just stays it she gets a goes a river up.
Dave Ungar: I d I don't think we I don't even think we see her in this episode, to be honest. But ⁓
@PCTunney: Well, the fact that she's going to Heronhall and Heronhall's a big part of the episode though, probably.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, yeah, maybe, but ⁓ they might save that for season four. ⁓ I I think most of it's gonna be on that battlefield, that big fight that's gonna take place for Tumbleton. ⁓ Ormond'll be out there, he'll be in the center of the battle. I mean I I I would not be surprised to see like Orman Damon throw down at the end of this season, and Damon probably kills him, you know.
@PCTunney: Orman yeah, Orman could definitely be a one that ends in Run.
Dave Ungar: He he could be a he he could be a a casualty of the Deadpool. ⁓ Damon could be a casualty of the Deadpool. I'm hoping against hope that it's not him. ⁓ but yeah, Ul Ulf is Ulf's head certainly on the chopping block. I would say that's a strong possibility. Hugh as well. ⁓ you know, I mean, what would be the most shocking death would be like, you know, Bela or something like that would be stunning to see that happen at this point. ⁓
@PCTunney: That seems that's all Ranero.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, but they're not gonna kill Ranera off. They they g she's gonna be her her descent into madness in season four is gonna be the big part of that. I don't I can't see it being Ranera.
@PCTunney: That's the and that's the question too, like who's gonna be like Aegon could die then I guess. Like who's ultimately responsible? I don't know the book stuff on this, so I don't really wanna ruin it, you know, s for myself.
Dave Ungar: Good. See, I mean but but I tell you what, wouldn't that be typical Game of Thrones? Just the shit they would do. Aegon has this moment of massive redemption, sunfire, back from the dead, and then they kill him off the next episode.
@PCTunney: Well, that's my ⁓ Well, but here's my thing about about Aegon, i like he seems like would be the most responsible for all the dragons dying. Like somehow he finds power through all of this and then like thinks he's then loses what he gained personally from all the shit he went through and immediately goes back and makes bad decisions. I don't know. I would guess that I would guess that I would like to get rid of Ormond.
Dave Ungar: Well, that's what I was gonna say.
@PCTunney: Eamon meets up with them and somehow Orman's gone and we have all the major players for season four as they kind of totally self destruct upon each other.
Dave Ungar: Well, I think like you're you raise a great point there, Aegon. ⁓ I I do think he will not be this impetuous impulse of run right into the heat of battle. Like the notion of him going to King's Landing, I admit that's just that's not gonna happen. I think he will have learned something. He'll be very appreciative of getting Sunfire back. He will plot from here. He will bide his time, recoup his strength, and then he may be a big problem in season four.
@PCTunney: The the hand ⁓ well, here's the thing too, like his new hand is Lannister, is Thailand Lannister.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, Thailand is now his new hand.
@PCTunney: It all it like easily, without question, he knows he can trust this guy more than anybody else in the entire Game of Thrones universe. Honestly, no one is ever stuck by him, even his mother, even his wife, like Tyland Lannister did, regardless of circumstance. And it would seem to me that Aegon coming into some kind of power and setting up the Lannister dynasty, because we see how ultimately powerful the Game of Thrones universe is. When we get to Game of Thrones, the Lannisters, you know, regardless of saying we don't have to repay our debts are still super powerful. They have to have some kind of money and start building some kind of status back.
Dave Ungar: Well Right. And Thailand being attached to Aegon as Aegon re re rises to power is probably a really good way to do that. ⁓ but yeah, I think I think, you know, like like Aegon's gonna be smart about this. I I don't think he will make the impetuous decision to just say, fuck it, let's go marching right into battle. ⁓ he's gonna know better than to do that. But like you're saying, Thailand and and how did the Lannister line get so powerful? You know, we're gonna see that in this episode, ⁓ or not this episode, but maybe you get a glimpse of that in season four. But yeah, it's gonna
@PCTunney: Because in seven nine they're they're pretty powerful still already. Like I know they are heading into the where we're right now with House of the Dragon, but you know, things are kind of gambles.
Dave Ungar: Who was ⁓ the first ⁓ in the first episode of ⁓ Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, ⁓ Lionel Brathian, right? Wasn't that the one who who befriends Dunk at and at the first ⁓ yeah, so the Brathians have also gotta get a little bit more prominent. Right now they just got wiped out at when they tried to assassinate tried to assassinate Ormin. So that line's been significantly diminished. ⁓
@PCTunney: The Starks have been a little bit more successful in Hulse of the Dragon than the Prathians.
Dave Ungar: A little bit, yeah, a little bit. But ⁓ look, it's gonna be an epic finale. Do we know how long the last episode is? Do we do we have a a ⁓ a runtime on that thing? I'm hoping like
@PCTunney: I can effort if you'd like to continue some commentary for a moment.
Dave Ungar: ⁓ yeah, I c I can you know me, I can I can bloviate about any of this stupid shit that I want. But ⁓ look, yeah, i this is another excellent episode. I think you know, just the the the resurrection of sunfire and was one of the most unexpected things that I've seen so far in this series. It's just like, where did that come from? But I mean, maybe you should have seen it coming, but
@PCTunney: Didn't you get but didn't Well but didn't you get done with the episode and go, son of a bitch they told us when he was standing next to it saying it was alive and we all kind of blew that off, right? None of us said I think it was actually alive, right? Yeah.
Dave Ungar: Yeah, like, ⁓ he's crazy. He's crazy. Yeah, he's in mourning. He doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. But, you know, maybe dragons do that. They lower their vital signs down to the point where they're seemingly dead and then they recover.
@PCTunney: So I'll give you within three minutes either way and and you'll be victorious on guessing how long the finale is.
Dave Ungar: I'll say one hour and fifteen minutes.
@PCTunney: It is seventy five minutes.
Dave Ungar: Wow, that was dead on, right? Jesus. Wow. I didn't even need the three three minute ⁓ plus or minus. All right. ⁓ look, that's that's perfect.
@PCTunney: I didn't even I didn't have it opened but I opened it up just for that. There you go.
Dave Ungar: Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. ⁓ yeah, I mean that's perfect. Hour and fifteen minutes, you can do a lot with an hour and fifteen minutes. I mean, anything longer than that, it's like, well, I mean, maybe an hour and a half, you could get away with that, but it's gonna be awesome.
@PCTunney: Dave. Dave, we love this shit so much. Like, I don't know, for you is this probably for me this is my favorite show of all time. I don't know about you.
Dave Ungar: House of the Dragon?
@PCTunney: ⁓ Game of Thrones all together. Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, this this universe and all these seasons, the eight and the one and the three, this is my favorite show of all time. I I encompass it together. Or if you loosely just say it's top ten or top five, go ahead. I believe it's gotta be in your top ten at least.
Dave Ungar: It it it it's good but Look, it's it's good, Tony, but it's not the Witcher, man. It's really Yeah, exactly the last season. No, ⁓ it is easily top three as far as like you know, I mean Stranger Things is a big one that's up there for me, you know, ⁓ as far as epic streaming series, ⁓ you know, stuff that we other things that we've watched that have been really good, like Daredevil.
@PCTunney: Especially in the last season, ⁓
Dave Ungar: Born again is an excellent show as well. I mean, we've been having a really good time with Daredevil. ⁓ you know, WandaVision was something special. But yeah, I think in the grand scheme of things, where would I put Game of Thrones, the whole universe? ⁓ sure. Top three for sure. Easy. And it may be number one. You know, I'd have to think of we've got to see how this turns out, but
@PCTunney: It like battles with like I'm talking just overall shit that we watch, not just streaming. Like it to me it battles with like the MCU and the Star Wars universe and and Seinfeld, like I'm talking like over like that's why I bring it I mentioned that like sitcom just because I'm talking everything, you know? It's it's not number one for me.
Dave Ungar: Yeah. I mean like Right. Yeah. I mean I think, you know, there's there's there's certainly people out there and I and I would not begrudging this who would say X Files is number one. You know, I I think that's a valid argument to make, but
@PCTunney: Whatever floats your motor finds your lost remote is completely fine with me. Whatever cranks your cheese wheel, you know, no big deal. ⁓ but I'm just saying, you know, it's always interesting to hear people's things. So, you know, and there's a couple of them that would be number one on people's list that I've never watched. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead. Right? I mean, there's a couple of big ones I haven't watched, but you know, it's just this is so fucking good. It really is. The actors, the performances, the storytelling, you know.
Dave Ungar: That's true. Right. Walking dead.
@PCTunney: variating from the book enough just to kinda have those people who know that involved and and and Yeah.
Dave Ungar: keeps keeps them guessing. It keeps them guessing. Yeah. And I mean that and that's good. I mean if if you are a diehard fan of the books, ⁓ then it's awesome because they do keep you guessing here and there and and deviate just enough that to make it interesting. And and they don't deviate so much that it ruins the substance substance in the spirit of what's in the book. So ⁓ next week's the end of the line for the show and for game gone wrong for a while. ⁓ until next year when House of the Dragon, House of the Seven Nine Kingdoms returns. ⁓ yeah, exactly. We'll we'll have to see what happens, but it's been a hell of a run. Hopefully next week, I think DJ just sent us a text somewhere. I'm hoping the shirtless one will be back next week. ⁓ we're I'm gonna start getting on his ass right about now, saying you have to be there for the season finale.
@PCTunney: We'll make it happen. We'll figure it out. He's ⁓ he's ⁓ he's at his NXT house show. He's ready to go. He's got great seats. So Well, for for now, maybe.
Dave Ungar: Okay. I bet she's got a shirt on too, but For now.
@PCTunney: He does you know, he doesn't want to take attention away from that young NXT talent, you know. So he's he's a veteran himself. He'll behave.
Dave Ungar: That's true. That's true. That's true. That's true. Well, the end of the line is next week. It should be epic. ⁓ until then, Tony, your final thoughts and where can people check you out on social media, man?
@PCTunney: No, I I don't think I can put the show over any more than I just did, saying it's like my favorite stuff of all time. ⁓ PC Tunny, right over there. ⁓ ChairShot Radio Network, new podcast, radio style, every morning. All your favorite streaming platforms, ChairShot Media. We just dropped on YouTube, ⁓ DWI podcast five thirty one. DP and I went over an hour and forty five minutes, Dave. You I and I appreciate it. You were. It was great. No, and the funny thing is, is the
Dave Ungar: I was there for it. Sort of sort of.
@PCTunney: Those chat drops, as you know, come in like fifteen, twenty, thirty seconds later than you actually put ⁓ in while you're listening. So it's hard to always go back and forth, but I always appreciate you showing up. We had to play the soundbite for you. ⁓ we But we had a good time. It yeah, it was one of the longest shows we ever did and it went by really fast. Kinda like Spider Man when we went and saw that. So I might go see ⁓ the Odyssey tomorrow. We'll see we'll see how that Odyssey goes. I know.
Dave Ungar: Yeah. I appreciate that. It's good. It's really good.
@PCTunney: We'll see what happens. But follow me at PC Tutty. That's that's the best thing. And ⁓ man, I I love what we're doing here. This has been one of my favorite, you know, podcasts to do the game gone wrong. So next week's epic.
Dave Ungar: ⁓ it's next week will be bittersweet because it'll be awesome, but we'll be sad to see it go for a while. But it's all right. It's all right. It's all right. As for me, ⁓ for those of you who tuned in live here today, thank you so much for tuning in. Please make sure hit that like button, subscribe, hype.

But until next week, it'll be me, it'll be Tunny, DJ will be back with no shirt on. We're hoping. ⁓ and we will break down where it's all going to end next week. Who's gonna live? Who's gonna die? Hopefully no more dragons. We don't need any more dragons to die, but the people, yeah, they can
@PCTunney: Ooh. Should put a over under? Over under on one and a half dragons dying, Dave. You got the over or the under?
Dave Ungar: ⁓ God, I'm gonna I g look maybe Moondance her or something. I don't want her to die, but you know, we'll see what happens. I'm going under. One one dragon will die. I mean, they do have to start getting rid of dragons, so you may be right. They gotta start dying, yeah. ⁓ they all kill each other in the last episode of the series, but I don't know, man. We'll see.
@PCTunney: Said one and a half, so you're going under? I'm going over I'm taking the over next. I'm taking the over. They kinda dying. They do all die next season. I mean I mean I Otherwise this is like Earth like eight two whatever then instead of you know all right.
Dave Ungar: But until next week, everybody, this is me. This is PC Tunning. Thank you so much for tuning into Game Gone Wrong. We will see you next week for the season finale of House of the Dragon season three. Until then, you guys have a great weekend, and we'll be talking to you soon.
