O TYM ODCINKU
Your body might be telling the truth long before your thoughts catch up. Andrew joins us to connect the dots between trauma stored in the body, chronic stress patterns, and the way pain, digestion, and anxiety can quietly become “normal” over time. We talk about healing as a kind of inner time travel: meeting the earlier you with better tools, better language, and more compassion.
We dig into Chinese medicine as a map for mind-body health, including a powerful idea: the colon as grief. That leads to a candid conversation about gut symptoms, emotional constriction, and how anger and loss can live in the nervous system and fascia. Andrew also shares a perspective on ancestral influence and vagal tone, using a musician’s lens to describe what peace “sounds” like versus anxiety and how the vagus nerve can be gently retuned.
You’ll also get practical, listener-friendly takeaways. Andrew explains how to begin taking a Chinese pulse as a form of meditation and self-listening, plus why joint pain often requires treating above and below the problem area. We cover at-home somatic trauma release tools like a chi machine, vibration plate, and rebounder, and we close with breathing retraining using a high altitude training mask to support relaxation through healthier CO2 tolerance. If you want actionable steps for nervous system regulation, holistic healing, and trauma-informed self-care, this one is for you.

00:00:00.880 --> 00:00:03.919
Welcome to Ask Queen everyone.
00:00:04.559 --> 00:00:12.560
This morning with me I have Andrew and I'm gonna let Andrew take it away and share his story.
00:00:14.960 --> 00:00:16.640
Good morning, good afternoon.
00:00:16.719 --> 00:00:17.920
We're on the cusp.
00:00:18.160 --> 00:00:20.960
Um well my story.
00:00:22.079 --> 00:00:33.280
I always it's kind of funny because in the work I've learned, it's like almost every morning I go back in time and meet the old the earlier me.
00:00:34.000 --> 00:00:37.359
I I sometimes think I'm time traveling.
00:00:38.159 --> 00:00:44.640
Um the the the me now that knows so much more is helping the me back then, but that sounds kind of bizarre.
00:00:44.880 --> 00:00:54.799
But I learned uh, you know, when you're challenged in life, you start obviously you're suffering and you you ask questions.
00:00:54.880 --> 00:01:04.079
And when I f early on, around 28, I had my first health issue, and I thought to myself, I'm doing something wrong, I gotta make changes.
00:01:04.159 --> 00:01:12.000
So I went and got a book, and that's been the process ever since, except the learning has become more multidimensional.
00:01:12.159 --> 00:01:20.159
As I kept asking more and more questions, I I came up with more challenges, more experimentation.
00:01:20.719 --> 00:01:23.920
Where the pivot point came is when I started working on clients.
00:01:24.000 --> 00:01:33.359
I learned body work, which is a combination of many techniques acupuncture, fascia work, cranial sacral, neuromuscular.
00:01:33.920 --> 00:01:39.599
But as I started working deeply on the body, it really opened up more insight as to suffering.
00:01:39.760 --> 00:01:44.239
Um, Chinese medicine is a very ancient language, really.
00:01:44.319 --> 00:01:45.680
It's like a musical language.
00:01:45.920 --> 00:01:54.560
And when you work on people, you start to see a lot of um, for lack of a better word, trauma trauma memories showing up.
00:01:54.959 --> 00:02:03.359
And that got me really understanding the nervous system trauma, how the body stores trauma, how that contributes to illness.
00:02:03.920 --> 00:02:08.719
And that became a very pivotal part of my uh understanding.
00:02:08.879 --> 00:02:15.840
Once I had that deeper meditative insight, uh things started making more sense, pieces started coming together.
00:02:16.240 --> 00:02:22.800
To give just to give one example, in Chinese medicine, the colon is considered grief.
00:02:23.199 --> 00:02:27.039
In naturopathy, they say all disease begins with a toxic colon.
00:02:27.199 --> 00:02:31.520
So here you have two kind of things intersecting.
00:02:31.680 --> 00:02:37.599
Oh, okay, all disease begins with a toxic colon, and in Chinese medicine, the colon is grief.
00:02:37.680 --> 00:02:38.879
So, what does that mean?
00:02:39.120 --> 00:02:43.919
Well, when people have a lot of grief, there's a lot of constriction in the colon area.
00:02:44.000 --> 00:02:51.280
In other words, that mental emotional state causes gripping, grabbing, and people don't think about that as contributing to illness.
00:02:51.520 --> 00:02:57.439
So that subconscious trauma, those grips and those grabs, Chinese medicine maps them out.
00:02:57.680 --> 00:03:01.360
So if you have a lot of anger, you the side of your leg might be tight, for instance.
00:03:01.520 --> 00:03:04.400
If you have a lot of fear, it goes up your spine.
00:03:04.639 --> 00:03:09.840
So the body work started teaching me the correlation between the physical and the emotional.
00:03:10.159 --> 00:03:18.400
And then you know, you start putting two and two together because it's not just about detoxifying the colon, you got to work on the grief and the energy of the constriction.
00:03:19.199 --> 00:03:29.120
So once you start seeing the interrelationships, I've started developing protocols that really covered the these different aspects of holistic medicine.
00:03:30.719 --> 00:03:53.919
That is fascinating, and I'll jump in here now because it just dawned on me as you were saying that um I have had, and people know this too, it's public knowledge, that I've had what they call C diff.
00:03:55.039 --> 00:04:07.039
And C diff is basically an section in the UCLI and it comes out green, and it's in your diarrhea.
00:04:07.520 --> 00:04:12.800
So yes, I said TMI, but too much information.
00:04:13.360 --> 00:04:47.680
But at the time I was angry and grieving so many people and so many AIDS that AIDS doesn't care, that I think the C diff got worse over time because I'm like, that makes total sense now that you said that, that the body holds a lot of emotions that we can't see with the naked eye.
00:04:48.639 --> 00:05:02.720
Right, and even to make now to go more Buddhist, and I believe this is how I process, and uh, this is also if people want to understand their suffering, I would suggest they take a look at hopoonopono.
00:05:03.120 --> 00:05:08.079
It's a long word, ho'opono pono, and put in morna.
00:05:08.319 --> 00:05:12.959
She's the Hawaiian kahuna that kind of originated this modern form.
00:05:13.439 --> 00:05:19.439
So she was a body worker, she understood what was being expressed in the body.
00:05:19.759 --> 00:05:27.600
Now, when I worked on people, the stories that came up where they say your memories in you are coming from many directions.
00:05:27.759 --> 00:05:29.439
A lot of them are ancestor memories.
00:05:29.680 --> 00:05:32.879
Your mother, your father, their mother, their father.
00:05:33.519 --> 00:05:41.360
So when you ask what the mind is and what all the suffering is, now you're you gotta say, well, what's actually playing in the mind?
00:05:41.600 --> 00:05:42.639
Is it my mind?
00:05:42.879 --> 00:05:48.959
It really isn't exactly your mind, it's a collective mind with a big influence from your ancestors.
00:05:49.199 --> 00:05:52.639
So let's say your mother now here's another interesting thing.
00:05:53.920 --> 00:05:55.920
One woman, I just remember little pieces.
00:05:56.000 --> 00:05:59.839
She said, You inherit the vagal tone of your mother.
00:06:00.240 --> 00:06:01.279
What does that mean?
00:06:01.439 --> 00:06:03.519
The vagal tone of your mother.
00:06:03.839 --> 00:06:05.920
Well, God bless my mother.
00:06:06.319 --> 00:06:10.480
I say she was like kind of a wired violin, she was anxious all the time.
00:06:11.279 --> 00:06:15.040
So, musically, because I was a musician for years, I get this.
00:06:15.600 --> 00:06:17.519
What does peace sound like?
00:06:17.680 --> 00:06:18.560
What does it feel like?
00:06:18.639 --> 00:06:19.439
What's the groove?
00:06:19.519 --> 00:06:20.079
What's the rhythm?
00:06:20.240 --> 00:06:21.519
What's the sound of peace?
00:06:21.759 --> 00:06:23.920
What's the sound of anxiety?
00:06:24.160 --> 00:06:31.279
The vagus nerve happens to be a big string, like a violin string that goes through your whole body to your gut, to your brain.
00:06:31.439 --> 00:06:38.480
And you can actually get into your vagus nerve and regulate it like you're tuning a violin string, like you're turning the tuning fork.
00:06:38.720 --> 00:06:44.000
There's ways to manipulate and calm down that vagal hyperactivity.
00:06:44.240 --> 00:06:46.480
And most people have anxiety irregardless.
00:06:46.560 --> 00:06:52.480
I mean, obviously, our parents came from a lot of trauma, but they never went inner and try to work on their physiology.
00:06:52.639 --> 00:06:59.680
So when they say you're an if if you're raised by a very anxious mother or let's say a very cold mother, or whatever, it doesn't matter.
00:07:00.000 --> 00:07:01.199
Think of it like music.
00:07:01.360 --> 00:07:07.519
How are you gonna retune this music you heard over and over and over since you were a child?
00:07:07.759 --> 00:07:12.000
Like I always joke, my mother was like a screechy violin, and my father was like a big tuba.
00:07:13.040 --> 00:07:31.199
So um, because she played, she played this, and he went because you know, yeah, relationships could be looked at if you're if your partner is like in an and by the way, this is another quick simple thing.
00:07:31.279 --> 00:07:35.600
I want to I I would love to teach you this if we can when we're maybe on a call.
00:07:36.160 --> 00:07:42.160
The Chinese pulses on your wrist is the little tuning forks of your whole energy.
00:07:42.319 --> 00:07:45.920
If you can listen to your energy state, it's the pulses.
00:07:46.399 --> 00:07:47.920
This is what acupunctures do.
00:07:48.000 --> 00:07:56.639
They put their fingers on three fingers on your wrist and they're listening to you, and they're building their whole treatment of the needles based on what they hear.
00:07:56.879 --> 00:07:58.480
You can listen to you.
00:07:58.720 --> 00:08:16.639
Now, if you start listening, if you ask yourself right now, how really how am I and put your hand on your wrist and learn how to do this, the very listening to yourself would wreck is a meditation because you're actually going at a soul level and listening to yourself, like like a musical being.
00:08:17.279 --> 00:08:21.120
So we we we get caught in our thinking and we don't listen.
00:08:21.680 --> 00:08:39.679
Wow, I'm amazed, and I actually I admit to you guys, I actually put my cell phone down and while Andrew was speaking, and I did what he um said.
00:08:41.039 --> 00:08:49.200
And when you go deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, and people know I love alternative medicine.
00:08:49.440 --> 00:08:56.159
I hate American medicine, even though it's good for my disability, yes.
00:08:56.879 --> 00:09:02.240
But I love, love, love alternative medicine.
00:09:02.480 --> 00:09:08.159
It's my favorite, it's my body's favorite, and I love tuning to flux.
00:09:08.879 --> 00:09:18.159
And but while Andrew was speaking, I managed to put my two fingers on my wrist.
00:09:18.799 --> 00:09:28.799
And yeah, if you go deep, deep inside your body, you will find some amazing stuff.
00:09:29.120 --> 00:09:53.120
And I happen to do, I happen to be close friends with two phenomenal Reiki Reiki masters, energy healers, reiki masters, energy um balancing, not energy transforming, energy balancing people.
00:09:54.000 --> 00:10:20.000
And I love it because it one, it makes me feel good, two, it gives me less anxiety and less depression, believe it or not, because um it's giving my brain, my body, that fights itself every single day due to cerebral palsy a break.
00:10:20.159 --> 00:10:32.240
It's actually giving my nervous system a nap, according to my Reiki master, who is local to me here in Phoenix, Arizona.
00:10:33.519 --> 00:10:35.279
You're in oh, you're in Phoenix.
00:10:35.440 --> 00:10:35.600
Wow.
00:10:35.840 --> 00:10:36.240
Yeah.
00:10:36.480 --> 00:10:37.440
I'm in an alger.
00:10:38.080 --> 00:10:38.720
Oh, jeez.
00:10:39.759 --> 00:10:42.159
So body work.
00:10:42.399 --> 00:10:49.840
If you guys haven't experienced body work, body work is absolutely amazing.
00:10:50.399 --> 00:10:58.559
And I would listen, I would encourage everybody to whether you go to Google AI or just ask, how do I take a Chinese pulse?
00:10:58.799 --> 00:11:01.039
And try to get a video or two on it.
00:11:01.279 --> 00:11:03.200
Because it's not that difficult.
00:11:03.679 --> 00:11:20.080
The key is once you learn the tech how to put your fingers in the right place, once you get your fingers listening, that if you can do that, it's like how do you put your hands on if you literally took your fingers and made a C chord on a guitar, most people could learn that.
00:11:20.320 --> 00:11:25.200
Now, it might you're not become a master guitar player, but first you gotta get your hands on the string.
00:11:26.480 --> 00:11:39.039
So if you can go and watch a video on how to take a Chinese pulse and not get too technical, just get your fingers in the right place, start listening, learn how to listen.
00:11:39.360 --> 00:11:43.200
You have to basically emphasize each fingertip.
00:11:43.679 --> 00:11:53.440
And then there's start with just there's you can go real complex, but there's sort of like putting, let's say you would put your hand on the top of water.
00:11:53.759 --> 00:12:00.559
That's one way to listen to the pulse, on the top of the water, and then you go underwater, you go under the water a little bit.
00:12:00.799 --> 00:12:02.000
That's the second level.
00:12:02.159 --> 00:12:11.519
Now, some people have three levels, but you don't need all you're you're putting your hand into water and you're listening to the water at the surface and underneath.
00:12:12.000 --> 00:12:17.039
Now you can go to different levels, but just imagine you're listening to water flow.
00:12:17.759 --> 00:12:22.480
Now, if you can do that and and just get a feel for that.
00:12:22.639 --> 00:12:28.559
Again, just you're resting, you go to a bit watch a video, learn how to technically do it.
00:12:28.639 --> 00:12:33.440
But the feel is you go on the surface, you go deeper.
00:12:33.600 --> 00:12:46.559
Now, once you're in the water, if I told you to go into water and you said, Well, the water's really choppy, or the water is very smooth, or the water is very weak, this is kind of what you're starting to go with.
00:12:46.639 --> 00:12:53.200
You're you're getting a sense now, each meridian, each fingertip represents an organ system.
00:12:54.080 --> 00:12:59.600
So I don't I don't want to get too deep because you can Google this and learn.
00:12:59.840 --> 00:13:05.679
If you get you can learn what corresponds to what you don't have to do too much intellectual activity at the beginning.
00:13:05.840 --> 00:13:07.440
The main thing is to listen.
00:13:07.600 --> 00:13:15.600
You don't even have to know what organ you're listening to, but you'll know that you're listening to it's like a biocomputer of your whole body's energy flow.
00:13:15.919 --> 00:13:19.919
But remember, you're listening to the different streams and rivers in your body.
00:13:20.080 --> 00:13:23.279
So there's a kidney stream, a liver stream, a lung stream.
00:13:23.600 --> 00:13:26.720
This is seriously, it's like a 12-string guitar.
00:13:27.440 --> 00:13:42.240
But the quality is like you're you're if you're blind, you're just telling me the water's choppy, the water's full, the water's smooth, you know, the there's different terms and that they have, but first get a feel for the water.
00:13:43.200 --> 00:13:45.279
Anxiety is very simple.
00:13:45.759 --> 00:13:48.399
There's a very choppy, like choppy water.
00:13:48.639 --> 00:13:55.200
If the river is full and vibrant, but but calm, that's a very healthy person.
00:13:55.519 --> 00:13:58.799
There's not a lot of choppiness, there's not a lot of thought content.
00:13:59.519 --> 00:14:01.919
If the river is very choppy, that's anxiety.
00:14:02.000 --> 00:14:07.360
If the river is weak, then somebody could be very ill, they don't have a lot of vital life force.
00:14:08.000 --> 00:14:12.320
So that's the closest analogy I can tell you on the Chinese Pulse.
00:14:13.440 --> 00:14:14.080
Wow.
00:14:15.360 --> 00:14:19.279
That in itself is amazing.
00:14:19.440 --> 00:14:27.039
And I the other thing I like and I want to try again is dry kneeling.
00:14:27.200 --> 00:14:38.000
And I want to go to actual actual acupuncture and see what they can do for my knee.
00:14:38.159 --> 00:14:41.200
Now you were here, I wish you were here.
00:14:41.279 --> 00:14:50.000
I could definitely that's a whole nother line of body work that's complicated.
00:14:50.399 --> 00:14:52.879
But all I can say, I can tell you this.
00:14:53.200 --> 00:14:55.840
Because I I sell a system called PEMF.
00:14:55.919 --> 00:14:59.440
It's very, it's like a huge amplifier into the cells.
00:14:59.679 --> 00:15:03.279
But if you're treating in body work, you always go below and above.
00:15:03.360 --> 00:15:11.600
You have to do the whole line of energy from the foot up the leg, all the all the meridians, the fascia, right into the lower back.
00:15:12.879 --> 00:15:17.759
If you're good at it, you can read all the twists and the turns in the body, and then you can start unwinding.
00:15:18.000 --> 00:15:20.720
A leads to B, B leads to C, C leads to D.
00:15:20.799 --> 00:15:29.840
It's an endless the knee is just there's tensions in, let's say, the side of your leg, the bot, you know, your hamstrings, God knows.
00:15:30.159 --> 00:15:39.679
The fascia work is what I spent years doing, so you can feel the fascia pulling and grabbing and twisting.
00:15:39.840 --> 00:15:42.320
And if you get good at it, you know, it's easy.
00:15:42.399 --> 00:15:46.000
It's just like kind of unlocking gears.
00:15:46.720 --> 00:15:47.039
Yeah.
00:15:47.360 --> 00:15:49.840
But to get in deep, there is one tool.
00:15:49.919 --> 00:16:01.440
If anybody's got a lot of structural pain, please go to uh my website, andrewshime.com, and there's a blog, our last blog is on high gas PMF.
00:16:01.840 --> 00:16:09.840
I do have people at home using that system to do self-body work because it gets down into the bone literally.
00:16:10.000 --> 00:16:15.519
It's very powerful magnetic field, and it's like an amplifier when you do body work.
00:16:15.919 --> 00:16:24.799
And I can teach people some simple home protocols that can get them very far, particularly with back pain and hip pain.
00:16:25.519 --> 00:16:35.519
Um so unfortunately, people get their knees replaced, but they don't get any work on everything above and below the knee, because the the orthopedic doctor is never gonna even talk to you about that.
00:16:35.840 --> 00:16:36.480
Yeah.
00:16:37.039 --> 00:16:48.799
Yeah, I I unfortunately got well, my body got literally twisted, twisted like a pretzel.
00:16:49.519 --> 00:17:10.240
And unfortunately my hip got the front of the twisting like a pretzel, and I had to go get a hip replacement, and the doctor said nothing about above my hip, below my hip, and I'm like, this why not?
00:17:10.480 --> 00:17:22.960
But now I'm experiencing less pain, but I um am also into body work, as I said, so yes.
00:17:23.599 --> 00:17:25.839
Yeah, the deeper body work is very challenging.
00:17:26.000 --> 00:17:31.839
I mean, honestly, and this is kind of I I got out because of the trauma piece.
00:17:32.079 --> 00:17:37.039
Because every time I got out of body, I started picking up on people's trauma like intensively.
00:17:37.519 --> 00:17:44.240
So as much as I love to fix injury, and I, you know, if somebody's spiritual, I'll be more inclined to work with them.
00:17:44.720 --> 00:17:53.200
Um, but there's a huge subconscious component that's like 90% of the issues.
00:17:53.359 --> 00:17:55.359
That's like a why I love Chinese medicine.
00:17:55.519 --> 00:18:00.720
Down the side of your leg is not just the IT band, it's anger, frustration.
00:18:00.880 --> 00:18:01.200
Yeah.
00:18:01.599 --> 00:18:04.160
Down your spine is fear, anxiety.
00:18:04.400 --> 00:18:09.119
So, you know, anybody trauma would be the essence.
00:18:09.279 --> 00:18:20.799
Anybody to me, any practitioner going to a bodywork school, the first thing they should teach him is you're working on traumatic memories of unknown origins, and you need to have great reverence for the client.
00:18:21.200 --> 00:18:21.680
Yeah.
00:18:22.240 --> 00:18:23.519
That's not how it's taught.
00:18:23.920 --> 00:18:35.599
You need to have compassion for the client because your energy isn't mixing with the client's energy.
00:18:36.480 --> 00:18:42.319
Right, and I had to have compassion for myself and quit because I would take on so much of their suffering.
00:18:42.480 --> 00:18:44.400
I would meld with them literally.
00:18:44.559 --> 00:18:46.880
I would go in their shoes so deep.
00:18:46.960 --> 00:18:51.359
Now, if it sometimes at some point you can handle that.
00:18:51.519 --> 00:18:58.640
Some people can go walk that deep in someone's suffering, and some practitioners can't handle that.
00:18:59.279 --> 00:19:12.079
Uh I went too deep and I found that the suffering origins, you know, I hate this sounds woo-woo, but past lives to some degree, but definitely ancestor memories.
00:19:12.400 --> 00:19:22.960
Um I mean, the mind, why you know, that's why I like to teach people trauma-release programs at home, because I know a way to do it at home for yourself.
00:19:23.279 --> 00:19:26.960
How to have a conversation with your inner child every day.
00:19:27.200 --> 00:19:31.680
And one thing I will suggest start off buying a chi machine.
00:19:31.759 --> 00:19:34.640
It rot it's rocking you like a mother rocks a baby.
00:19:34.720 --> 00:19:39.039
It's called a chi machine, it rocks the body.
00:19:39.519 --> 00:19:49.519
And then also consider getting a vibration plate, which you tremble your body, and when animals come out of trauma freeze, they do a shaking trembling.
00:19:49.599 --> 00:19:54.160
And there's a guy named David Brusselli that teaches a way to tremble your body naturally.
00:19:54.720 --> 00:20:02.480
But if but a vibration machine is a very profound way to tremble your nervous system and start to release memories organically.
00:20:02.640 --> 00:20:08.640
You don't know what you're releasing, they kind of you feel, you sense, you feel memories coming up, and they're letting go.
00:20:08.720 --> 00:20:12.240
It's like shaking trees off of the fruit off a tree.
00:20:12.559 --> 00:20:14.960
Then the third I'm sorry.
00:20:15.759 --> 00:20:17.039
Let me jump in there.
00:20:17.279 --> 00:20:58.640
For those of you who haven't been on uh um uh a power plate, and for those of you who haven't worked with a power plate, um it's very cool because one, it breaks up the tone, but two, it helps your whole nervous system, and I found that out, and I may invest in a power plate or a chi machine because I my nervous system is such a rectusable walty.
00:20:59.039 --> 00:21:04.559
I would love to help you because I can give you step by step some beautiful things to do.
00:21:05.119 --> 00:21:15.519
Um, I think you're a very precious person, and but you can get for$450, I have a vibration machine that would I mean I don't think you weigh that much, do you?
00:21:16.319 --> 00:21:20.240
I weigh not 90 to 100 pounds.
00:21:20.480 --> 00:21:34.880
Well, I have a machine that's$450 is way better than the power plate for you because you have two motors, so you can get 3,600 permutations, in other words, different frequencies that resonate with your body your mind.
00:21:35.359 --> 00:21:42.640
So you can change the and it's like giving yourself different tunings to release different levels of subconscious information.
00:21:43.279 --> 00:21:51.279
Now, once you start trembling or rocking from there, I could teach you things to do self-treating.
00:21:52.000 --> 00:21:59.759
That's just putting underneath the like if you tremble on a on a vibration machine, that's great.
00:22:00.400 --> 00:22:06.720
You can let go maybe 50% of your stuff just trembling and just meditating.
00:22:06.960 --> 00:22:10.640
Now, let's say you're really tight in your lower back, you're talking about your knees.
00:22:10.799 --> 00:22:16.559
Now I know a way for you to scan your body and treat it while you're trembling.
00:22:16.799 --> 00:22:20.480
So the trembling gives you the best potential to release deep stuff.
00:22:20.559 --> 00:22:22.079
Now you need to do the treatment.
00:22:22.319 --> 00:22:24.559
The rocking gives you a divine mother.
00:22:24.720 --> 00:22:25.359
I'm safe.
00:22:25.519 --> 00:22:26.400
I'm okay.
00:22:26.640 --> 00:22:28.000
Then you do the treating.
00:22:28.160 --> 00:22:37.200
It's important to feel safe when you treat because the memories are in there locked down because you never had a movement that said, I'm safe.
00:22:37.359 --> 00:22:41.200
You you're always squeezing and gripping and squeezing and gripping.
00:22:41.519 --> 00:22:49.119
So now you you you change the state to let go, let go, let go, and then you treat, and then you start extracting deeper stuff.
00:22:49.440 --> 00:22:50.000
Yeah.
00:22:50.240 --> 00:22:50.559
Wow.
00:22:51.440 --> 00:22:53.119
It's not that hard to do.
00:22:53.279 --> 00:23:05.759
I'm telling you, you get a you get the vibration machine, you get the chi machine, you start learning some basic somatic trauma release techniques, which aren't hard to teach.
00:23:06.079 --> 00:23:12.400
And the third thing is get a bungee cord rebounder and go up and bounce, up and down, bounce up.
00:23:12.720 --> 00:23:17.519
It it pumps the cells, cleans the cells, pumps the lymphatic system.
00:23:17.759 --> 00:23:22.720
Every time you go up and down, the g force shifts, and that's the same with the vibration plate, too, by the way.
00:23:22.799 --> 00:23:24.319
It's a g force shifting.
00:23:24.480 --> 00:23:24.640
Yeah.
00:23:24.799 --> 00:23:30.559
And the cells pump, so that's good for detox and nervous system regulation.
00:23:31.440 --> 00:23:37.200
So the three tools that are primary for any body worker, as far as I'm concerned, at home.
00:23:37.440 --> 00:23:48.640
If you're doing home body work, even detox, vibration machine, chi machine, a bungee cord rebounder because bungee cords absorb the impact.
00:23:48.720 --> 00:23:51.519
You don't want a spring rebounder, it'll hurt your lower back.
00:23:54.720 --> 00:23:56.799
Well, that's amazing.
00:23:56.960 --> 00:24:08.559
I as I said, I may invest in a power plate or a tremble machine because my nervous system is a mess.
00:24:09.599 --> 00:24:16.559
You know, one thing you can do, do you uh go on Amazon and buy what's called a sports breathing mask?
00:24:17.599 --> 00:24:21.039
You know, you these athletes it's called high altitude training masks.
00:24:21.119 --> 00:24:21.359
Yes.
00:24:21.839 --> 00:24:22.880
Have you ever heard of those?
00:24:23.119 --> 00:24:23.759
Yes.
00:24:25.359 --> 00:24:28.079
So you own one?
00:24:29.039 --> 00:24:36.000
I have heard of high altitude training, but I haven't heard of the mask.
00:24:36.799 --> 00:24:42.559
So it's called the high altitude and training mask, and you can see them on Amazon, just put it that term in.
00:24:42.880 --> 00:24:48.720
And I studied breathing and neuro rel you know, neurovasodilation, all that.
00:24:48.880 --> 00:24:51.440
And I measured this with an EEG, actually.
00:24:51.599 --> 00:24:58.880
So so after 25 minutes, my my EEG was it was like a it was a meditation EEG program.
00:24:59.200 --> 00:25:00.720
And I was in 90% meditation.
00:25:01.039 --> 00:25:03.839
I watched, I started off around 20%.
00:25:04.799 --> 00:25:07.680
In other words, I was 80% out of meditation.
00:25:08.079 --> 00:25:10.640
At 10 minutes, it started diving down.
00:25:10.960 --> 00:25:15.200
Then from 10, when I hit 25, I was at 90% meditation.
00:25:15.440 --> 00:25:17.680
Now, the principle of this is very simple.
00:25:17.759 --> 00:25:21.200
It's it's like number one on my trauma release program.
00:25:22.319 --> 00:25:25.119
For all of us, we've adapted to trauma.
00:25:25.200 --> 00:25:28.559
We're like that tight violin that we can never relax.
00:25:28.640 --> 00:25:31.039
So you have to trick the body to relax.
00:25:31.279 --> 00:25:36.240
So when you do the breathing mask, you can control the valves, the resistance.
00:25:36.400 --> 00:25:41.519
But basically, you're getting your CO2 to come back into your body, which causes you to start to relax.
00:25:41.839 --> 00:25:43.680
CO2 is the relaxing gas.
00:25:43.839 --> 00:25:46.720
People have anxiety attacks and they breathe into a paper bag.
00:25:46.880 --> 00:25:49.519
It's kind of like a paper bag with valves.
00:25:49.839 --> 00:26:00.160
So you control how much oxygen is coming in, how much CO2, you know, the CO2 is always coming back, but you you start to increase the resistance.
00:26:00.720 --> 00:26:12.640
And essentially, what happens is even though you're choking yourself out, the seat you're relaxing, you're actually teaching your nervous system to relax using the CO2 as the operative gas.
00:26:12.880 --> 00:26:24.799
Anyhow, you can Google all this CO2 relaxation and buteco breathing, but we have a blog called Breathe Like a Yogi for Dummies, because the mask makes it easy.
00:26:24.960 --> 00:26:26.000
You don't have to think.
00:26:26.160 --> 00:26:31.759
Most people try these breathing practices, they're counting, like doing all these counting and this and that.
00:26:31.920 --> 00:26:34.240
It's their mind is too involved in the process.
00:26:34.400 --> 00:26:36.000
You don't think when you do this.
00:26:36.240 --> 00:26:40.799
There's another breathing device that I like called the comigo that is automatic.
00:26:40.960 --> 00:26:48.000
It train retrains, these are called breathing retraining devices, where you don't think, but you start to relax.
00:26:48.160 --> 00:26:57.039
So for$30, you can get a breathing mask and just put it on for like a half hour, and you'll notice you feel your nervous system feels way better.
00:26:58.640 --> 00:27:08.480
Yeah, I need to myself, I need to start focusing on my nervous system.
00:27:09.279 --> 00:27:09.680
Oh, yeah.
00:27:10.000 --> 00:27:11.039
You gotta learn the trick.
00:27:11.119 --> 00:27:15.039
You know, you trick yourself into anxiety, you have to trick yourself to peace.
00:27:16.720 --> 00:27:17.359
Yeah.
00:27:18.319 --> 00:27:21.519
Everybody's tricking you into anxiety, the whole world is tricking.
00:27:22.079 --> 00:27:29.839
You know, we b it's this is why the yogis, there's very few successful yogis, because they're tricking themselves back to who they really are.
00:27:33.759 --> 00:27:40.720
So and where can people find you and where can people get a hold of you if they want to do so?
00:27:42.160 --> 00:27:47.440
Uh my general handle, all my media, to have two websites and a YouTube channel.
00:27:47.519 --> 00:27:49.440
We have over 200 videos.
00:27:49.839 --> 00:28:02.640
If you go to Google and put at the at sign, blue Z water, one word, blue, the letter Z water, you'll find andrewsheime.com, bluesywater.com, and our YouTube channel.
00:28:02.880 --> 00:28:11.359
If you put blue space z space water, in other words, blue Z water with a space around the Z, that's my YouTube channel.
00:28:11.680 --> 00:28:16.319
But the the at the at sign bluesy water gets you to everything.
00:28:16.640 --> 00:28:21.440
We have a lot of blogs, we have a lot of videos, everything uh we have a whole trauma release program.
00:28:21.599 --> 00:28:25.920
So everything I'm talking about, we have all these tools.
00:28:26.079 --> 00:28:34.400
Well, I mean, in this Vegas nerve tools, breathing tools, um, the trauma release program of the vibration machine.
00:28:34.559 --> 00:28:44.960
Listen, I I didn't realize how much trauma when I started working on my trauma, and to this day I work on it, I was raised like a nervous system wreck.
00:28:45.039 --> 00:28:46.319
And I that was my norm.
00:28:46.480 --> 00:28:49.359
I had to learn to let go and unwind.
00:28:49.599 --> 00:28:54.720
And the world's challenging today, so everybody needs as much peace practice as they can get.
00:28:55.680 --> 00:28:56.319
Yeah.
00:29:09.039 --> 00:29:13.519
Like I say, and you know, uh I welcome you if you want to talk with me further.
00:29:13.839 --> 00:29:17.920
I'm happy to to do some step-by-step stuff with you.
00:29:18.079 --> 00:29:24.480
Um anybody who's trying and making an effort, I'm very eager to support them.
00:29:25.279 --> 00:29:27.440
Well, I appreciate that, Andrew.
00:29:27.839 --> 00:29:33.119
And you guys, I hope you enjoyed this podcast.
00:29:33.599 --> 00:29:41.440
We will put Andrew's information in the show notes, and I will catch you guys later.
00:29:41.680 --> 00:29:42.640
Bye you guys.
00:29:42.880 --> 00:29:44.079
Thanks, you guys.
