In 1 Kings 17, Elijah discovered how trusting God's plan and provision during "dry" seasons strengthens our faith and guides us. His example serves as a lesson for us, too, for when we go through spiritually dry seasons.
Key Takeaways:
God may lead us to a dry brook: Following God's will does not guarantee a life free from difficult circumstances or hardships.
Listen to God's direction: When familiar things end, turn to God's word rather than human emotions to find your next steps.
God's provisions change but He remains the same: God may use unexpected methods or people to supply our needs, just like He used the widow at Zarephath.
Dry seasons prepare us for the future: Hardships and struggles teach us patience, dependence on God, and compassion for others.
Trust God one step at a time: God often gives us just enough light for the immediate path ahead rather than revealing the complete long-term plan.
