Speaker 2: A former Six Flags Over Georgia employee told TMZ that it is possible to push a restraint like the one on the Goliath roller coaster open, but it would take a tremendous amount of force. A 42-year-old man died earlier this week after he was ejected from the coaster. He bounced off other riders and then fell to his death. The former employee talked about the extensive checks the ride undergoes each morning before it opens, and he said this about the restraints.
00:00:33
Speaker 3: That's just a possibility because of the pin slipping. That is a possibility of what could have happened. Because if enough force is applied, you are able to push the restraint all the way open.
00:00:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, so he said the ride doesn't move unless the pin and gear arm restraints are pulled down three notches, which that locks the person into place. But he said a pin could slip. But it's unlikely that all three would come undone and that a lot of force could undo it. But again, it's unlikely. So it's still not clear. We don't know that that's what happened. But we had also heard one of the people who was there talking about how they were clicking the ride a lot and they did like multiple checks before they went.

Speaker 4: So did it malfunction? It reopens the park today and there is going to be a change at the park. They've removed... Dead Man from the title of a Fright Fest show. So the show was called Dr. Fright's Dead Man's Party. Now it's listed as just Dr. Fright's party at that Georgia Six Flags park. Yeah, I think there.
00:01:40
Speaker 2: Was also a park in New Jersey that has the same thing, and they changed the name there, too.
00:01:44
Speaker 4: Yeah, probably a good idea. Probably.
