OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
A new special 3ICE series begins with Larry Richert and Jay Caufield exploring the fast-paced world of three-on-three hockey with Week 1 champion John LeClair and Week 2 champion Guy Carbonneau.
John LeClair explains how he coaches Philadelphia’s aggressive three-on-three attack, why elite goaltending is essential, and how 3ICE gives players another opportunity to showcase their skills and keep their professional hockey dreams alive. He also discusses Philadelphia’s Week 1 championship run and the impact of goaltender Cam Johnson.
Then, Hockey Hall of Famer Guy Carbonneau breaks down the speed, conditioning, creativity, and defensive responsibility required to succeed in 3ICE. He shares how Iowa came together to capture the Week 2 championship and why the league continues to attract talented players and legendary coaches.
Plus, Jay Caufield goes to the telestrator for detailed breakdowns of Philadelphia’s Week 1 victory and Iowa’s Week 2 championship. Jay examines man-on-man coverage, body positioning, defensive switches, odd-man opportunities, and 3ICE’s unique live penalty-shot rule.
This is the first installment of a new special series following 3ICE throughout the season and into the overall championship.
