OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
The Dillinger Escape Plan, known for their innovative and chaotic blend of metalcore, mathcore, and experimental rock, have left an indelible mark on the music scene. Founded in 1997, the band's groundbreaking debut album Calculating Infinity (1999) set the stage for their reputation as pioneers of the genre. The album's complex time signatures, dissonant guitar work, and relentless intensity earned it critical acclaim and a devoted fanbase.
In a recent appearance on the Vulgar Display of Podcast, Ben Weinman, the band's co-founder and guitarist, reflected on the 25th anniversary of Calculating Infinity. Weinman shared insights into the album's creation, its impact on the band’s career, and its legacy within the metal community. To celebrate this milestone, The Dillinger Escape Plan is reuniting with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis for a series of special shows, including a highly anticipated performance in Chicago this weekend. This rare reunion has fans eager to witness the band’s explosive energy live, a testament to the lasting influence of Calculating Infinity and the enduring passion of their dedicated followers.
