OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
“Is my parenting style proclaiming the Gospel or hindering the Gospel? Is my parenting style drawing my child closer to Christ or pushing them further away from Christ? Am I modeling the character of God to my children in how I parent them?”
Pastor Blake Gideon and Christian Lloyd, Children’s Pastor, discuss practical parenting tips including:
• Roles of a father from Deuteronomy 6.
• Balancing between faith and sports.
• Public schooling vs private schooling.
• Family devotional book recommendations include “Family Worship Bible Guide” by Beeke, Barrett, Bilkes, and Smalley, “The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers” by Bennett, and Devotions”, and the Bible. • Prayers we can pray over our children from Psalms 1 and Colossians 1.
• And when you find yourself at wits end, read Proverbs 3 for encouragement and pray through John 14.
