OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Are you trying to coast through life on your own strength, or are you ready to embrace the difficult discipline that leads to true long-term peace?
This week on Off Script, Neil Gregory, Scott Nickell, and Connor Hall sit down to discuss the necessity of discipline in the Christian life and why following God's game plan is always better than chasing short-term pleasure. The guys explore how modern culture encourages a lack of effort and contrast that with the athletic metaphor of putting everything on the line for Christ. From discussing the wisdom found in Proverbs to reflecting on the emotional story of Olympic runner Derek Redmond being carried by his father, this conversation is a great reminder that while discipline is difficult, we never have to run the race alone.
The Challenge This week, audit an area of your life where you have been choosing short-term pleasure over obedience. Recognize that while short-term obedience can feel painful, it leads to long-term peace. Pick one small, daily spiritual discipline—like reading Proverbs or setting aside intentional time for prayer—and commit to staying the course instead of quitting when it gets hard.
Hosts: Neil Gregory, Scott Nickell, and Connor Hall

About Southland Christian Church
Southland is one church meeting in multiple locations across central Kentucky. We believe Jesus came for the lost and the broken, which means there's a place for everyone here. Around here, that means we worship defiantly, speak truth unashamedly, and extend grace generously.
