OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Financial planners Chris Kampitsis and Ben Soccodato of the SKG Team at Barnum Financial Group join the show to tackle the financial squeeze facing the "sandwich generation", people in their 60s and 70s supporting aging parents and adult children at the same time. They break down how to build an emergency fund and volatility buffer before chasing growth investments, why they recommend staying more aggressive in the stock market well into retirement, and how to think through Social Security timing based on health, spousal benefits, and work income. The conversation also covers what to do with an inherited home or downsizing windfall, capital gains strategies for longtime homeowners, and when hybrid life insurance/long-term care policies actually make sense. It's a practical, no-nonsense look at building a financial plan that covers three generations at once. Tune in for the full conversation, and subscribe for more episodes on thriving after 60.
