OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Matt Simms opens with reflections on his summer traveling to high school and NFL camps before diving into the Jets' joint practice with the Buccaneers, which was defined by multiple fights, including David Bailey's scrap with Luke Goedeke and Armand Membou getting his helmet ripped off by A'Shawn Robinson. The day took a scary turn when cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers collapsed on the field and was taken to the hospital by ambulance, though he's expected to be okay. On offense, Geno Smith started hot with a 65-yard touchdown drive before the unit unraveled with penalties and sacks, finishing 12 of 20 for 157 yards, while rookie Cade Klubnik impressed in relief with a 66-yard strike to Isaiah Williams and an 11-yard touchdown to Jelani Woods. Simms also highlights Isaiah Williams' breakout third-year push and A.D. Mitchell's attempt to rewrite his career after Indianapolis, closing with a nod to Aaron Glenn's more assertive approach as head coach this year.
