OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Does God Belong in the Workplace? Jeanne Stafford on the Devotion Factor and Time with Intention
In this episode of the SilverDisobedience Perception Dynamics host Dian Griesel talks with Jeanne Stafford about whether God belongs in the workplace and how “the devotion factor” helps people connect to something eternal, clarify purpose, and manage time with intention. Stafford explains devotion as a chosen commitment rooted in doing, and shares how she applied her method after being released from a Forbes contributor contract, using the experience to reassess worth, take risks, and write about Holy Week and her Catholic faith. She emphasizes that nonbelievers can benefit by devoting time to other “eternal” anchors like nature, love, and family, illustrating with a client who built a holistic financial services firm inspired by surfing and service. They discuss head-versus-heart noise, morning routines, perspective-shifting moments, and Stafford’s advice to remove one to three nonessential things to create space for what matters.
