OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Two months after Bungie shipped Destiny 2's final content update, the dust has settled and there's no more "wait for next season" to hide behind. Today's guest has logged over 18,000 hours in the game and spent that time double checking every artifact mod, every exotic ranking, and every bug the community has been yelling about.
Once again, @TheAegisRelic joins me to break down Destiny 2's final sandbox: the artifact system overhaul, the Chaos Reshaped bug and the community's reaction to it, and a full Buff, Maintain, or Nerf retrospective on the game's most broken DPS metas. In this episode, we cover:
- Aegis's honest reaction to the end of service announcement
- Whether he'd ever sink that much time into another game
- How knowing this was the final sandbox changed his testing process
- The artifact system overhaul and swapping mods mid encounter
- What artifact mods actually mean for speedrunning and low mans- The best general use artifact mods right now
- Ranking every exotic weapon, and why Choir of One landed on top
- Whether Bungie's buff first philosophy created the best sandbox yet
- Why rocket pulses never needed a boss damage nerf
- The Turncoat exploit quietly boosting rocket damage
- The truth behind the Chaos Reshaped healing bug
- Optimizing for fun versus optimizing for the top of the spreadsheet
- The Acolytes of Aegis, and why Scatter Signal deserves more love
- A full Buff, Maintain, or Nerf retrospective on Destiny's most broken DPS metas
- Why a rotation got named after a Chinese streaming site
- What's next for Aegis as he shifts focus back to speedrunning
