A federal appeals ruling delivers a significant check on executive authority, while the sudden end of an investigation into Jerome Powell raises serious questions about political pressure and economic control under Donald Trump. The conversation also dives into escalating instability across the administration—from chaotic military leadership changes to alarming proposals targeting national monuments—while connecting it all to a broader pattern of authoritarian behavior, corruption, and strategic distraction.
