OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
In this milestone 10th episode of Racing Back, Nick and Julian celebrate hitting double figures by diving into all things two-wheeled and fast! The duo kicks off by looking back at the recent MotoGP action from Brno, where Nick confesses his fondness for bars of the drinking kind over the tyre-pressure variety, leaving Julian to delve into the technical details.
As the MotoGP season hits its halfway point, the spotlight turns to Jorge Martin’s continued rise and Aprilia’s increasing presence at the sharp end — but the big question remains: what’s going on at KTM?
From high-speed racing to low-tech reporting, Nick and Julian reminisce about the early days of motorsport journalism. From the desperate hunt for a telephone line, to the wonder of fax machines, and photographers developing photos over a cup of tea — it’s a charming blast from the analog past. Nick even recalls the time he got racing legend Kenny Roberts to do cricket commentary for the BBC!
They wrap up with a look ahead to the post-summer break MotoGP round at Austria’s Red Bull Ring, this weekend’s World Superbikes at Hungary’s Balaton Park Circuit, and the British Superbikes showdown at Brands Hatch.
It’s nostalgia, nerdiness, and no shortage of laughs — classic Racing Back.
