OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
A five-year-old girl who had been sick over the weekend was put to sleep on a couch next to her seven-year-old sister. A few hours later, that sister awoke her grandparents, telling them that #PaitinFields didn’t look right. Three dogs were inside the home and uncle #DavidPrevatte was sleeping in the bedroom closest to the girls. In courtroom testimony, Paitin’s grandparents, Lisa and Dale gave jurors their most detailed look yet inside the home where the five-year-old spent her final hours before she was rushed to the hospital. Their testimony narrows the timeline, but it also gave the defense explanations for some of the circumstances prosecutors clearly want this jury thinking about. Let’s talk about what the grandparents said, what matters and why the observations of a seven-year-old child could become one of the most important pieces of this entire case.
