OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Join Joe McDonald as he discusses how the past, once seen as wasteful or shameful, can be transformed into something infinitely valuable, as outlined in Step 12 of Alcoholics Anonymous. Joe explains that many of us have felt burdened by our pasts, but through recovery, we start to see how those experiences can be used to help others. He emphasizes the difference between being “recovered” and “recovering,” a distinction made multiple times in the Big Book. Joe encourages us to walk in our purpose, knowing that what was once painful has become a tool for freedom and service.
In Alcoholics Anonymous, Step 12 teaches us to carry the message and practice these principles in all our affairs. Joe reminds us that our past does not define us, but can become a powerful source of healing and strength for others.
