OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
In this inspiring episode of Ordinary Extraordinary, Karen O'Sullivan is joined by international business consultant, leadership and mental health expert, Paul Kearney, for a conversation about living authentically and unlocking your true potential.
Paul shares his remarkable journey—from travelling the world and becoming a yoga, T'ai Chi and meditation teacher, to studying meditation in India, where he learned from the Dalai Lama, who said: "One of the hardest journeys you'll ever make is from your head to your heart."
Together, Karen and Paul explore:
- What it truly means to be your authentic self.
- The importance of trusting yourself and following what feels true for you.
- Finding peace through practices like meditation, yoga and T'ai Chi.
- Overcoming depression, stress and limiting beliefs.
- The power of embodied coherence—aligning your mind, body and heart.
- Helping athletes, businesses, students and teams reach their full potential.
- Why making time for what you love is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
- Radical kindness, curiosity and creativity as pathways to a more fulfilling life.
Paul also leads Karen through a simple yet powerful heart-centred exercise, reminding us that we often value everyone else before ourselves. As he says, "The intellect of the heart is more powerful than the intellect of the mind."
They discuss Paul's work with children with special needs—whom he affectionately calls "higher beings"—his Effective Tools to Thrive programme, holistic stress release, and his upcoming retreats and events across Mallorca, Holland, Guatemala, Romania and Ireland.
This episode is a beautiful reminder that everyone has their own unique path and soul mission. Trust yourself, embrace your greatness, and make time for what brings you joy.
Key takeaway: Trust yourself. Trust what you know is true for you.
